Why include millets in your diet?
Millets are the super-foods that our ancestors cultivated and used daily in their diets. As we got urbanized, we moved more towards refined grains which were lacking in essential nutrients, hence developing various lifestyle and diet-induced health disorders. By introducing millets again to our diet, we can include wholesome, gluten-free, and nutrient-rich grain in our regular meals which can help prevent diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular issues.
Which nutrients are present in Millets?
Millets are a coarse grain if used whole and unpolished. Besides the super nutrient - fiber, Millets are also rich in calcium, proteins, iron, and polyphenols. Polyphenols are the micronutrients that produce antioxidants and are present in plant-based foods.
What is the cooking series about?

She has over 30 years of training in Iyengar Yoga and is deeply devoted to the study and practice of healing through natural food and living. Health Nut is the online initiative by Bhavna which provides holistic health coaching.
Bhavna lives in Dehradun and travels to Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Goa and the Himalayas to conduct workshops, consults and retreats. Her work and recipes have featured in major dailies such as Mid-Day, Mumbai Mirror, Live Mint, The Times of India, and The Week. She has hosted a health show on Radio One (Mumbai) and has an online cookery Show called ‘Healthy Vegan Cooking with Bhavna Kapoor.'
