To make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need on a vegan diet, it’s important to eat balanced meals that include a variety of healthy foods. For example, you’ll get protein and fiber from beans; leafy greens are great sources of vitamins A, C and K. Swapping out refined grains, such as white pasta and white bread, for whole grains, such as brown rice and quinoa, adds iron and B vitamins to a vegan diet (nutrients that are stripped out when the grains are refined). And, the extra fiber from whole grains will help keep you full, and may even help you lose weight. Semi cooked Sprouts, fibre veggis and fruits and brown rice will keep you full over the day. Inspite of regular tea, go for herbal tea like Mint, ginger, chamomile etc. Thanks.
Hi! I am Bhanu Prakash and I am suffering from stomach ulcers. So, I want to heal naturally - is there any food diet for this?
Nikita Mishra

Hello Bhanu Prakash, Excessive acidity results in the development of ulcers which mainly results due to improper diet and incorrect lifestyle. It is a common digestion related problem that is faced by many people nowadays because of the sedentary lifestyle and wrong choices of food. Intake of a high fatty diet, oily, and spicy foods results in improper digestion which ultimately leads to digestive issues like acidity and in long term it results in other complications like ulcers. Along with a correct diet, the adoption of a correct lifestyle is equally important. Diet Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach. This will help to flush the toxins out of the body. Drink green tea twice a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at night before sleeping. Eat sprouts in your breakfast as they are light in nature and are rich in nutrients also. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices. Have fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Don't use refined oils for cooking. Instead, use cold-pressed oil for cooking. Have Vitamin C rich diet like include lemon, oranges, amla, blueberries, etc in your diet. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Exercise Physical activities are also essential for good digestion as it improves the blood circulation in the body and also the metabolism of the body. Start the day with a brisk morning walk of at least 30min. Do plank for 5min. Perform yoga asanas like bhujanga asana, trikona asana, paschimottan asana and padahasta asana. Do pranayam regularly for 15-20min, specially anulom-vilom and bhastrika pranayam. Sleep Good quality of sleep is also needed for good metabolism. Sometimes lack of sleep or bad quality sleep also leads to digestive issues like acidity, anorexia, etc. So, proper sleep is required. Take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Avoid using electronic gadgets like mobiles, tv, computers, laptops, etc at least 1hour before sleeping for an improved quality of sleep. Thank you

Hello User, Bloating and gas are due to improper digestion, intolerance to a particular food or it may also occur due to overeating. Roast some ajwain on tawa and add rock salt to it. Drink it with water. Take a short wall for around 15 minutes. Here is the detailed description for the diet and habits that you should follow. Diet Don't overeat. Never skip meals. Eat only plant-based natural foods. Add roasted heeng, jeers, and ajwain in food while cooking. Include salads, sprouts, nuts, and beans in your diet. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices. Avoid dairy products and animal food products. Avoid tea and coffee. Say no to alcohol. Avoid processed foods and packaged foods. Drink sufficient water during the day to be hydrated. Exercise Lack of physical activity may also lead to bloating. So, being physically active is also important. Start the day with a short morning walk of at least 30min. Take short walks after every meal. Sit in vajra asana after major meals. Practice suryanamaskar daily. Do bhujanga asana, gomukha asana, trikona asana, padahasta asana, specially pawan mukta asana, also known as gas releasing pose. Sleeping A correct sleeping pattern is equally important as a correct diet. It affects the circadian rhythm and overall health. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6 am. Take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily. Don't use any electronic devices 1hour before sleeping. I have Patelous Eustachian Tube. My Eustachian tubes open with crackling sounds whenever I swallow anything or whenever I move my jaw because of which I always feel the sense of fullness in my ears and my head often gets heavy. I have tinnitus in both of my ears. All of my conditions get worse whenever I do some exercise. I do jalneti everyday which ain't giving benefit as such. Bhrahmi kriya etc make my symptoms worst. Can you please tell me what else I can do to cure my condition?
Smitha Hemadri
09:42 AM | 13-11-2019
If your Patulous Eustachian Tube is physical disorder is by birth, it is hard to say if it will be closed. This is a condition where its intermittently open which normally must be closed. The tinnitus is also a side effect of this issue. The primary function of the Eustachian tube is to ventilate the middle ear space, ensuring that its pressure remains at near normal environmental air pressure - That's why the sounds when air pressure is not regulated. Bramari also creates pressure and hence it bothers it more. The secondary function of the Eustachian tube is to drain any accumulated secretions, infection, or debris from the middle ear space. So its quite possible that you will develop infections quickly due to fluid retention. This is a physical defect Shekhar. This may not be a lifestyle issue that can be corrected the way you are trying. What best you can do imo is to attempt to fix your lifestyle to as ideal as possible so that the body closes this automatically. Messing with this with more air pressure or attempting to bring nethi may not help imo. We must hope the body to fix this. If it can't fix, it can atleast bring some mitigation to the problems you are facing. Only time can tell how it will help. But body can do wonders. If you did not have this as a child, then the chances of recovery are high. This is what i suggest - The more you bring in fruits, veggies greens into your all-day meals, the better for your body. 1) 500ml cucumber juice upon waking and 2 more litres of fresh veg or green, fruit juices in the day 2)Only fruits for breakfast 3) salads for lunch with lots of greens ( both juiced and whole green leaves) 4) millet-based gluten-free oil-free dinner. Replace with more raw for better results 5) vegan non-fluoride toothpaste 6) use clay /iron/steel/ glass for cooking and no other material must touch ur food 7) try to go organic to avoid heavy metals in pesticides 8) avoid cooking with oils 9)elimination of all animal products dairy eggs meat fish in all foods 10)no ready to eat foods from packets 11) no refined flour or oils 12)early morning sun exposure for 1 hr daily 13) have early dinner and sleep early 14) Exercise only as much as you can and figure out what works for you and continue that. Lots of juicing, greens and fruits are the key. Be blessed Smitha Hemadri (educator of natural healing practices)

Hello, Eating alot of fruits and vegetables in diet is good but you should make sure those fruits and vegetables should be rich in high fibre content with sufficient vitamin and minerals. I highly suggest you to follow diet rich with high fibre fruits and vegetables and also include some of the herbs which will help you combat this problem. Usually fruits and vegetables which you consume is digested and metabolised easily either it will be utilised in the energy expenditure or it will be stored if you're intake is not sufficient. Firstly when you consume fruits and vegetables make sure you increase your water intake with it as well. It will help in flushing off the toxins and helps your organs to throw waste metabolised products faster without making them stagnant in the body. Include vitamin C, D rich food in your diet like- orange, pineapple, kiwifruit, amla, papaya, lemon juice these food help in boosting the metabolic system. Add high fibre food in your diet like green leafy vegetables such as spinach, beans, cabbage and add beetroot in your diet as well it a good source of all the vitamins and minerals. In grains you can use oats, ragi, bajara, jawar to make roties out of it and can eat with steamed vegetables sabji. Add socked 3-4 dates in your diet on daily basis. Dates are good source of minerals and helps in constipation. Drink atleast 2-3 glasses of water early morning as soon as you get up before going to washroom it will activate your organs and helps in elimination process too. Thankyou, Dr. Ruchika Sharma

Hello Harminder, Health of our hairs are the reflection of our body's internal health. Premature greying of hairs is due to the excessive accumulation of toxins in the body. Improper lifestyle, eating wrong foods, lack of sleep, increased stress levels are the reasons which lead to toxic accumulation and result in issues like greying of hairs. External factors like exposure to dust, chemicals and pollution are also the reason for hairfall and grey hairs. Foods to eat- Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water early in the morning on an empty stomach. This will help to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Drink green tea twice a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at night before sleeping. Eat soaked dry fruits and sprouts in the breakfast to get easily absorbable nutrients. Eat fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Include salads, nuts, and beans in your diet. Have whole grains like barley, millets, oats, etc. Use cold-pressed oil to cook instead of refined oils. Local application Mix amla powder with warm water. Keep it for around 2 hours. Then, apply it on your hairs and leave it for half an hour and then wash your hairs. Don't use any chemical-based products on your hair. Apply fresh aloe vera jel on your hairs. Protect your hair from dust, smoke, etc. Sleep A correct sleeping pattern is important for the circadian rhythm. It also helps to reduce stress. Hence, taking a proper quality of sleep is very important. Take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Avoid using electronic gadgets atleast 1hour before sleeping. Read books before sleeping to improve the quality of sleep Thank you

Hello Mr. Khurana, The main cause when we deal with hair loss is when we get exposed to pollution and chemical products. Yes, our digestion and bad eating habits are also part of the same as the hair is made of nutrients itself. The main thing to take care of, diet is to increase our protein intake. Our body has the power to regenerate only if we provide our body with the right type of nutrients, by following a natural lifestyle you not only correct the hair fall problem but also treat yourself well with correct nutrients. Hair is made out of protein named keratin, by eating the right kind of food items, we can increase the protein intake and deal with the same. Hair and nails are made up of some type of protein, so you can also co-relate when your hair is in bad shape even your nails become brittle. So here are a few things which need to be corrected. So let us focus on what lifestyle changes we can make: Eat: Eating food that has a high amount of proteins are legumes, green leafy vegetables, nuts like almonds, walnuts, etc. Seeds like chia, pumpkin, and flax seeds are also necessary. Coconut water and even eating shredded coconut is found to be very beneficial for hair health. Regular massaging of hair is important to take care of the pigmentation. Here are a few hair packs which you can try to deal with hair loss problems. 1. Methi seeds, methi seeds powder two tablespoons mixed with rose water it helps in getting the hair stronger and thicker with greying issues cured and help from hair to roots. Before applying methi seeds pack make sure you apply the oil at night, so the pack does not stick to hair. 2. Onion juice paste is another beneficial thing for hair health. This will ensure to deal with the hair fall. 3. There is one more way of coconut oil massage, where you warm the coconut oil and add curry leaves to it, let it splutter and then use for massage. Exercise: Here is some exercise that you can start for your hair and scalp health. Rubbing your nails with each other helps in the treatment of the hair health as it boosts the blood circulation to the scalp, hair, and nails have the same type of protein involved. Chakrasana is another asana which would be recommended for healthy hair. Meditation: While massaging your hair what you can do is close your eyes, and visualize your hair becoming stronger and shinier making it healthy. You can take a deep breath, start healthy music in the background you can feel the blood circulation getting a boost. This will help in relaxation and ensuring healthy hair health. Sleep: Having a sound 7-8 hours of sleep is helpful in treating anybody's problem, a healthy sleep leads to a healthy mind and body. So make sure you are free your room from any gadgets an hour before sleep so you get a radiation-free room and a good tension-free sound sleep. Hopefully, this will help you Thank you
I had recurrent or resistant UTIs last year for which I took 7 rounds of antibiotics. Last antibiotic resolved my uti. But the previous one wiped all my gut microbiome. I now get autoimmune attacks in different parts, have sinus, and varicose veins symptoms. I have white patches on tongue which fade when I eat something spicy and then reappear. I tried many antifungals, probiotics, and diet changes. I have chances of a leaky gut due to the candida overgrowth in intestine. What can i do?

Namaste Farzeen Trying to suppress the body’s attempts to throw away the toxins results in the body giving up at further attempts. But the moment one realises his mistake immediately he can change his lifestyle and food habits and support your body in slowly getting back it’s lost health. The gut bacteria can always be brought back by healthy food habits and lifestyle changes. Start with your food. Start eating clean. Remove all refined flour ,oil, processed sugar, white salt etc from your daily diet. Stop eating outside food. Stop consumption of processed and packaged food like stuffs. What can you eat? Lots of fresh ,locally grown, seasonal fruits. You can start your day everyday with it. Have more fruits for lunch. And let your dinner be a large bowl of salad withlots of greens, sprouted grains or soaked nuts. Finish eating before sunset, so that your body gets enough time to digest, assimilate the nutrients and send the waste towards the exit for elimination. If you continue eating late at night the body will not get enough time to do its functions properly. Become active. Go for walks, do yoga or participate in some active sport daily. This will also improve your metabolism. Connect with nature. Go out in the sun. Get enough exposure to the suns rays, breath fresh air and do some gardening too. Sleep well. rest well. Look into your life for energy vampires. Do you have a stressfull life? Do you have a stressful job? Do you drink alcohol? Do you smoke? If yes for all then stop and change. These are basic guidelines. But for better guidance you may get in touch with me and get a diagnisis done and get a personalised plan for improvement of your health. Hello Roshani, Bad breath can make our body diseased at the same time feel embarrassed, here despite not having any oral issue we continue to suffer from bad breath because it is the whole body that is under the pressure of access toxins and not only the oral part which is involved. Continuous consumption of fatty diet and highly spiced food leads to the accumulation of toxins that are the primary cause of any health issue. What needs to be taken care of now is the fact that a major change in lifestyle and diet will be the cure of the problem. The lighter the food in its nature the easier it is to absorb but what we do is load ourselves with a lot of high-fat diets and a sedentary lifestyle which only is the result of the accumulation of toxins. With a healthy change in the diet and your routine, we can easily deal with all the issues related to the problem of poor absorption and indigestion which is leading to bad breath. What makes a major difference is by changing lifestyles, that we are not only curing the disease at this stage but also preventing it. Now let us understand what changes we can make: Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature and easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that gets absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The next thing is including a fiber-rich food item which helps in adding bulk to the stools, for example having apples, bananas, nuts, etc. which has a good amount of fiber in them. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake at least for one month and refrain from something which is oil-based. Have fruit salad in the afternoon time and vegetable salad as evening snack this will be light on your stomach. Consume mint leaves after having any meal. Consumption of citric fruits like lemon, oranges, berries will be helpful in treating breath issues. Drink plenty of water. Have cinnamon powder half teaspoon, two hours after lunch which will help in controlling bad breath. You can even have a piece of cardamom and carry them with you to public places. Exercise: Sitting in the position of Vajraasana will help. After your meals practice, this pose for better digestion and easy stools which will reduce bad breath. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes, helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is a great source of Vitamin D that is why walking in the sun and connecting with the sun also help in activating our cells and rejuvenate us for the whole day. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive. In a room take a bowl of water and add two-three drops of orange or lavender essential oils this will help in soothing you and the aroma will relax you and keep you away from any kind of disease. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem, sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals thy self. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you Thank you

Hi! Great to know you are thinking of including millets in your diet during pregnancy. There is no specific guideline for which millet is suitable in any particular trimester of pregnancy. You can have all of them in moderation. The idea behind including millets in your meal is to ensure diet and nutrient diversity. The more diverse your diet is in terms of the grains, vegetables and fruits, the healthier and more nutritious it is. So the same thumb rule applies for millets, try to include all /most of them in different ways. Different millets are rich in different nutrients. Ragi is excellent for calcium, foxtail millet is rich in protein, bajra/pearl millet is rich in iron and a good source of folic acid, etc. You can easily find them in stores nowadays or online. Some key things to keep in mind when you start off with millets: 1. As a beginner, try to do it just once a day and make sure they are cooked well. Under-cooked millets will cause dehydration and digestion issues. Easier recipes are khichdi, kheer etc where they can be cooked mushy but if you learn how to cook them fluffy and perfect you can experiment with many more recipes. 2. Increasing millets in your diet means increasing fibre, so increase your water intake as well. 3. Going towards summer, if you find that any type of millet is causing ‘heat’ in your body, pair it with cooling spices like saunf.or coriander. You could even use them in fermented recipes like the south Indian congee or the Rajasthani Raab or even in Idli Dosa batters. Besides increasing the B-complex in the food, fermentation also makes them more ‘cool’ for the body. 4. Do not eat the same quantity of millets as you would of white rice/wheat. Since these are fibre rich & nutrient dense they need to be eaten in smaller portions. 5. Millets keep us feeling fuller for a longer duration and provide sustained energy for longer. This does not mean that they are not being digested. We just need to adjust the quantity we consume as per our meal-frequency. For more queries and an easy cooking guide to millets, you can visit the following linkhttps://milletsforhealth.wordpress.com/2019/02/11/an-easy-guide-to-millet-cooking/

Hello Niteesh, It is a good thing to be concerned about her. The most common cause is stress, so you can start by communicating with her. External sources of stress are also the cause of not getting sound sleep. We have to work here in all the ways to heal our sleeping pattern. Good sleep is a reaction of a healthy body, eating a light meal. When we eat something heavy, it does not allow our body to relax as it makes our body tired by the metabolism process. Eating light is healthy for body and mind. The main thing here is, it should be about everything, food, meditation, sleep and exercise which amalgamate for good health. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake for at least one month and refrain from something oil-based. One inch of ginger boiled in two cups of water with one tablespoon lemon, boil them for 5-10 minutes before hitting the bed, as this helps in soothing nerves and relaxing your mind. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practising it early morning in an area which has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Do 15-minute stretches before hitting the bed, to allow your body to go under healthy rest. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it. But with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleeping with the help of music to stay positive. In a room take a bowl of water and add two-three drops of orange or lavender essential oil. This will help in soothing you and the aroma will relax you and keep you away from any kind of disease. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. Take a head massage an hour before sleep, coconut oil preferable. Encourage her to take up any new activity which will help her in improving any stressful situations, like a yoga class or a Zumba class with people her age. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you.

Your skin is also one of the eliminatory or excretory organs of the body. If your skin is releasing something it just means that you have something in excess. Typically consumption of oils in the cooking even if it’s not deep-fried foods when consumed on a daily basis can clog the pores, cause pimples and oily secretions just a few mins after washing your face too. Animal proteins are high in sugar and fats. Even a drop consumed on a daily basis will accumulate over a period of time. Skin is a reflection of your body’s internal health. So, if you feed the body the food it’s designed to eat, such as fruits vegetables and greens in abundance it will reflect back on your face. It is also extremely important that you switch to whole food plant-based lifestyle which does not include dairy eggs meat fish or any products that contain ingredients coming from animals, sugar coffee tea oils( extremely important) I have seen children who are on a plant-based diet and consuming junk like chips also have issues like pimples. Hence I would like to focus your attention on raw fruits veggies greens intake as a cooked meal replacement to see results. I have successfully worked with teenagers facing oily skin, pimples. Once they were made to go with one oil-free cooked, gluten-free, fruits for breakfast and salads for dinner, it cleared in 2 months. It’s very important that you also hydrate your body when you wake up with either limewater or cucumber juice. Focussing on hydration is extremely important 2-4 ltrs per day fresh juices and water put together. Be blessed Smitha Hemadri (Holistic lifestyle coach )

Hello Sada, AMH levels are determined by the number of developing follicles in your ovaries. The most important determining factor in the number of follicles is age, as ovarian reserve diminishes over time. Ovarian reserve begins to decline in the mid and late 30s and AMH levels tend to be low in women in their 40s. Age is not always a factor in low AMH. However, some women continue to have high AMH levels into their 40s, while others have declining AMH levels in their 20s or 30s. This can be due to environmental factors such as cancer treatment or down to inherited genetic causes. Here are some of the ways to deal with low amh naturally. Diet Eat a balanced diet to improve your fertility. Choose foods that are rich in antioxidants, healthy fats such as omega 3s, lean proteins and vitamins. Eating a healthy diet can improve the health of your ovaries and eggs. Include beans, broccoli, berries such as blueberries and strawberries, green leafy vegetables, spices such as turmeric and ginger and seeds (pumpkin, sesame) in your diet. Take sunshine daily Vitamin D has been shown to directly increase AMH levels, so take early morning sunrays daily for atleast 40 - 45 minutes, so that, your body can have the sufficient Vitamin D. Vitamin D can also help to keep your ovaries healthy. Say no to smoking Smoking permanently speeds up egg loss in the ovaries. The chemicals in cigarettes mutate the DNA in a woman's egg cells, making some of the eggs unsuitable for conception. So, it is best to keep eggs healthy and free of unnecessary chemicals. Manage stress levels Stress can produce hormones such as cortisol and prolactin that can interfere or halt ovulation, which also hinders egg production. Stress-reducing activities such as yoga, meditation, exercise or a warm bath can help keep stress and frustration at bay. Yoga Good egg health is aided by oxygen-rich blood flow to the ovaries. Blood flow in the body can quickly decrease from dehydration, so aim to drink atleast 10 glasses of water each day. Yoga is a healthy and relaxing way to improve blood flow. Perform yogasanas such as the lotus pose, child’s pose, reclining hero and seated forward bend.

Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night. You can also choose to have vegetable juice in your breakfast, it is an easier way to absorb all the nutrients. Drink this mixture two hours after your meals, it is a vitamin C booster drink which will enhance immunity. Take one tablespoon of coconut oil at night before sleep two hours after your dinner, it increases our metabolism. Exercise: Taking a brisk walk in the early morning sun rays it helps in treating all the problems, as the sun helps in treating the mood and freshens us for the whole day, it stimulates our system and strengthens our immunity. An early morning walk is recommended. Cat-cow pose, cobra pose, fish pose repeat each pose 3-5 times by holding it for 5-10 seconds and continue in the given order. This will help in treating the respiratory issues as it strengthens lung tissues. And proceed with a session of Suryanamaskar. These poses help in accelerating the action of our immunity. Suryanamaskar will help in treating the health issues and will help in dealing with all problems, 12 sets a day is recommendable. If you are a beginner start with 6 and increase it. Meditation: Stop using the gadget on hour before sleep, you can use a fragrant diffuser where you can use essential oils and then with the smell itself you will start feeling calm. Rosemary and lavender oil will be helpful. Take 10 long deep breaths, and allow your body to relax, any thought which comes, let it go do not resist. Say the affirmation, "I am healthy and happy" with each breath. Imagine your thyroid to be healthy and see yourself breathing completely and enjoying nature. This will help in curbing all your issues even in the long run. Sleep: The sleep is a very important part of treating any mental symptom, a sleep cycle of 90 minutes should be completed in order to get a sound body. This sleep cycle should be repeated 5 times. This makes 7-8 hours of healthy sleep. This will make your body and mind strong and refreshing. Make sure your room is gadget-free an hour before sleep. It is not only our body but a holistic cure from our mind and soul which needs to be strengthened. Hopefully, these suggestions will help. Thank you.

Hello Kingshuk, Acidity is a common digestion related problem that is faced by many people nowadays because of the sedentary lifestyle and wrong choices of food. Intake of a high fatty diet, oily, and spicy foods results in improper digestion which ultimately leads to digestive issues like acidity, burping, etc. Thank you
