Combine Makhanas and seasonal vegetables to create this healthy, nutritious & yummy curry!
Makhana - 100 -120 gm
Seasonal vegetables (diced) - half kg
Coconut - 100 gm
Tomato -3 -4
Green chilly -2
Coriander - to garnish
Dry roast these spices and grind it into a coarse powder - Zeera, saunf,Methi, Dhania, kalongi, ajwain and mustard
1- Chop the vegetables you have. I used potato, bell peppers, Brocolli, broad beans and some frozen Peas I had from the winter and needed to finish it.
2- Steam them (put ones that need more time to steam like potato first and add bell peppers in the end).
3- Add all the vegetables in a pan with some water. Add 1/2 a spoon of the masala
4- Add the roasted makhanas
5- Grind raw tomato, pink salt and coconut (add green chilly if you want to make it spicy)
6- Add this gravy to the stew after switching off the gas stove.

Thank you Shweta and Parul for trying out and sharing your experience. I would not reheat it Shweta but if you want to do it in the steamer on not directly on the gas flame. ๐

I also tried making it! Very interesting! Thanks for sharing this recipe. It's the first oil free recipe I have tried!
Also had a question- it shouldn't be reheated, right!

Tried this today. It came out really nice. Made some variation with steaming tomatoes as well to help satiate that cooked feeling. None could believe it had zero oil
