Halitosis or bad breath is a common problem which sometimes causes embarrassment and anxiety.
- It occurs due to improper oral hygiene, dental issues, any infection on mouth.niose or throat, dryness, chewing of tobacco and smoking etc.
- Primary remedy is to maintain good oral hygiene. Good oral hygiene helps to ensures avoiding tooth decay and gum disease.
- Brush the teeth twice regularly, rinsing mouth after every meals also helps to keep oral hygiene.
- After brushing massage your gums using index finger.
- Floss the teeth regularly. Clean in between he gaps where food particles remain and cause plaques, stain and bad breath.
- Brushing/cleaning the tongue also necessary.
- Drink plenty of water, keep always hydrated. It helps to get proper saliva secretion. Saliva rinses and removes unwanted leftovers from your mouth, helps break down food when you eat and provides disease-fighting substances to help prevent cavities and infections.
- Avoid intake of more onion and garlic, avoid spicy foods.
- Avoid sugar, coffee and tea.
- Avoid aerated and carbonated beverages.
- Avoid non veg foods times.
- Consume backed healthy diet.
- Take more fruits and vegetables.
Natural remedies:
Coconut Oil Gargle:
Take 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Swish coconut oil around in your mouth for 5-10 minutes and then spit it out.
Use lukewarm water to rinse your mouth after this.
Repeat this every day until the bad breath is gone.
Helps to keep the mouth healthy and bacteria-free, and having anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
You can use sesame oil also.
Epsom salt Gargle/ Table Salt water Gargle
Take 1 teaspoon Epsom salt/ salt water in glass of lukewarm water, Mix the salt in the water and gargle with this.
Do this every day initially. After a while, do it every alternate day.
Epsom salt/ Table salt has natural antibacterial properties that fight oral bacteria and eliminate bad smell in the mouth.
Chewing cardamom also helps to relive from bad breath by acting as a aromatic freshener for your mouth and reduces bad breath by acting like a deodorizer.
Eat At Regular Intervals: Keeping the mouth underworked for long periods can promote oral dryness, which in turn promotes the build-up of odor-causing bacteria. Do not skip meals.

The gastrointestinal tract starts from the mouth and ends with the Rectum. If the entire tract is lined with rotting waste, unwanted bacteria and foods that was not digested properly in the stomach. Kindly stay on —2-3 lts of fresh juices both from fruits and vegetables tender coconut, vegetable juices. Kindly be on this for 1 week. Any pathogen has to be naturally flushed in a liquid environment and do not attempt to dry fast. You must not be dehydrated in such cases. In acidic dry environment they multiply faster.

कारण - दांतों पर खाने का बचा हुआ अवशेष, दांतों और जीभ पर जमा हुआ प्लाक, दांतों की क्षति से हुए छेद (cavities) व पीरियडोंटल रोग जैसे मसूड़ों में सूजन (gingivitis) और पीरियंडोटिटिस (periodontitis) रोग इसके कारण होते हैं।
मसूड़ों की सूजन आमतौर पर मुंह से आने वाली दुर्गंध की गंभीरता को बढ़ा सकती है।
दांतों के अनुपचारित गहरे व नाजुक घाव भोजन के अवशेष मुंह में रह जाने की जगह बनाते हैं। इसके साथ ही दांतों में हुआ प्लाक भी इस समस्या का मुख्य कारण होता है।
मुंह से दुर्गंध आने पर लार एक महत्वपूर्ण कारक की तरह काम करती है। यह मुंह की सफाई करने वाले तत्व के रूप मे काम करती है। इससे मुंह में होने वाले बैकटीरिया का स्तर कम हो जाता है। इस कारण ही लार का कम बनना भी मुंह की दुर्गंध का कारण होता है।

समाधान - अमरूद पत्तों या आम के पत्तों को अच्छे से चबा कर ऊँगली से दातों और मसूड़ों की मालिश करें इससे लार निकलेगा और विषाणु कम होंगे।इन पत्तों को सुखा कर लौंग डाल पीस कर रख लें। इस पाउडर से ऊँगली के मदद से दाँतों और मसूड़ों को सुबह और रात को सोने से पहले मुँह धोएँ। जो खाना देर तक पचता नहीं है वह पाचन तंत्र में अम्ल पैदा करता है उससे मुँह के दुर्गन्ध की समस्या बढ़ जाती है। आहार शुद्धि करें। ऐसा खाना ना खाएँ जिससे कि आपको अधिक पानी पीना पड़े क्योंकि अधिक पानी आपके मुँह के लार को पेट में भेज देता है और लार बहुत उपयोगी होता है मुँह में विषाणुओं को रोकने में।
सब्ज़ी, सलाद, फल, मेवे, आपका मुख्य आहार होगा। आप सुबह खीरे का जूस लें, खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ। यह juice आप कई प्रकार के ले सकते हैं। पेठे (ashguard ) का जूस लें और कुछ नहीं लेना है। नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। बेल का पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर I100ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। बेल पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर लें। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। जो की आपको ज़बर्दस्त फ़ायदा करेगा। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है। फल को चबा कर खाएँ। इसका juice ना लें।
दोपहर में 12 बजे फिर से कच्चे सब्ज़ी जूस को लें। इसके एक घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ।शाम को 5 बजे सफ़ेद पेठे (ashguard) 20 ग्राम पीस कर 100 ml पानी मिला। 2 घंटे तक कुछ ना लें। रात के सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डाले। ताज़ा नारियल मिलाएँ। रात का खाना 8 बजे खाएँ।
लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। इसे बिना नमक के खाएँ, बहुत फ़ायदा होगा। पृथ्वी तत्व को शरीर में डालने का एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस (solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल (liquid) को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें। ठोस (solid) भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ (liquid) ले सकते हैं। ऐसा करने से हाज़मा कभी ख़राब नहीं होगा। जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन छोड़ने से ज़्यादा लाभ होगा।
तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा।

Dear Health seeker Jose, In nut shell the problem of bad breath is indicative that there are lots of rotting toxins are laid down through out your gastrointestinal track , the previous meals are not digested and yet again and again munching and brunching going on resulting in a chaotic condition where the food is rotting, Off course dental hygiene is also a contributing factor. You will have to be quite disciplined in the intake of foods. The following program to be followed:
1. Cut down all non vegetarian items which are the main cause of the troubles, since carnivores have gut lengh of 6 to 8 feet while we have guts of 22 to 24 feet as such the animal products putrefies and remain in the intestines for much too longer periods causing bad breath
2..Aim should be to clean the whole gastrointestinal track for which have foods predominantly consisting of fruits and vegetables raw and cooked to the extent of 70%rest carbohydrates, coconut nuts,seeds, beans
3. keep a substantial gap of minimum 6 hours between two meals
4..Do some deep breathing exercises and brisk walking in early morning sun.
5..Dental care is a must
The bad breath will leave you for long.
