Mixed Veggie Green Juice - a natural health supplement!

Go green! This mixed vegetable green juice is a booster dose of energy, nutrition and restoration. The idea is to add a green leafy vegetable along with other veggies to get high on greens juice - you could try other combos as well! And yes, you need not to have any fancy kitchen equipment to fix this, your good old blender is handy enough.

No preservatives, only simple ingredients and a couple of minutes to make! Do try!

Ingredients
  • Spinach: 10-12 leaves
  • Cucumber: 1 (medium sized)
  • Tomato: 1 (medium sized)
  • Mint: 10-12 leaves
  • Raw mango (seasonal) - 1 slice
  • Lemon: 1 juiced
  • Ginger: 1 inch grated
  • Water: ¼ glass
Method
  • Wash, drain and cut cucumber, tomato and mango.
  • Grind a bit, then add spinach & mint with a little water.
  • Blend all ingredients. Then strain/sieve it through a soup strainer.
  • Add lemon and then pour into glass and enjoy the green natural chlorophyll.

  • Food Group: Vegetables (Raw)
  • Vegetables, particularly raw vegetable not only have a high nutritional quotient, they are rich in fibre and water content, and are easy for your stomach to digest. They also help your body get the enzymes that otherwise get destroyed in the process of cooking.
  • Green leafy vegetables are particularly high in vitamins and minerals and hence this green juice is very beneficial when recovering from illness.
  • Juices can be had in morning or evenings too. While vegetables can be mixed with most food groups (except fruits), usually juices are best consumed mi-morning or in evening.

Can we add salt?

Avoid adding salt. Instead use lemon or amla or raw mango, depending on what is in season.
