I have suffered dandruff. Is it harmful to my hair? What should I do to cure it?

The dandruff is nothing but excessive toxins coming out of your scalp.

1 A very simple routine I usually suggest to people with this issue is massage your scalp with sesame oil and let it soak in for half an hour.

2 Cut a lemon and start massaging the lemon juice in your scalp. Cover the whole scalp area with the lemon juice. There will be some burning sensation for a couple of seconds. Let it stay for 30 mts. Then wash with a shikakai paste.

3 Repeat this procedure once a week till your dandruff stops recurring.

This was an external remedy. For a permanent solution you have to look towards internal cleansing. The cleaner your system is, there will be no dandruff.

What could you do for internal cleaning?

Foods to be removed

1 All packaged and processed outside food-like substances.

2 Refined flour and refined oil

3 All types of stimulants like tea and coffee. If you drink alcohol then that too must be stopped.

4 All overcooked, deep-fried oily food.

5 Remove milk, eggs, meat and fish too.

Foods to be included

1 Fresh locally grown seasonal fruits - 50% of daily intake

2 Fresh seasonal vegetables and greens - 35% of daily intake

3 Grains - soaked or sprouted or steamed - 10 % of daily intake

4 soaked nuts and seeds - 5% of daily intake

And understand this - it is not only the food that influences your quality of blood but many other things too matter equally.

1 Learn Pranayam and yoga for relaxing your mind, improving your flexibility and activating your lymphatic system.

2 Get good sun exposure either in the early hours of the morning or a couple of hours before sunset.

3 Get in touch with Mother Earth. Do some gardening with your hands or at least walk barefoot on sand or mud. Sit in parks or lie on the ground or lawns and relax.

4 Keep an eye on your bowel movement. See to it that your bowels are always functioning normally. Eliminate larger quantities than what you eat.

5 Rest and relax well. Sleep in the earlier part of the night and sleep through the night. Wake up before or with the sun.

6 Be well hydrated. Consume a lot of juicy fruits veggies and greens to hydrate yourself well.

7 Get your body moving, do yoga or participate in any outdoor sport, walk or do some gardening. Moving your body will support the removal of toxins and free flow of vitality

8 Be happy always. Don’t let life’s negativities to bog you down. Always be positive.

Follow these principles and as you go on eliminating toxins and discarding all damaged unhealthy tissues you will start seeing a great change in your overall health.

नमस्ते

बाल भी हमारे शरीर का ही हिस्सा है। सिर में ऑक्सिजन की कमी और mineral की कमी से ये समस्या होती है, रासायनिक शेम्पू एवं साबुन से ऐसा होता है।

शरीर के हर हिस्से में जो पोषक तत्व पहुँचना चाहिए,

वो नहीं पहुँच रहा है। अर्धसिरशासन करें। अनुलोम विलोम, भ्रामरी प्रयाणाम करें।

आपके आहार में सब्ज़ी का जूस शामिल करने की ज़रूरत है।

फल, सब्ज़ी और सलाद को अपने खाने में शामिल करें।

सुबह की शुरुआत 1/2 खीरा + करी पत्ता पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ, फल एक घंटे बाद लें। 12 बजे दोपहर में पालक 10पत्ते + पुदीना10पत्ते पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। रात का खाना 8 बजे तक में कर लें। रात का भोजन में सलाद ही लें तो बहुत अच्छा होगा।

मेरुदंड ( स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें, हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें।

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

सर पर सूती कपड़ा बाँध कर उसके ऊपर खीरा और मेहंदी या करी पत्ते का पेस्ट लगाएँ,नाभि पर खीरा का पेस्ट लगाएँ।बालों को नींबू या रीठा से साफ़ करें।कपूर और नारियल तेल से मालिश करें।

Hello,

Apply neem paste to your scalp for 30-40min and then wash your hair. 

Mix lemon drops in coconut oil and apply this mixture to your hair.

Hello Soujan,

Kindly use plntbbased yogurt and squeeze one line juice in it, apply it to your scalp area ...half hour or 45 minutes before shower. Doing this regularly can help you get rid of Dandruff. 

You can also apply almond oil to the scalp area at night..and wash it in the morning. 

Drink good amount of water and eat lots of fruits especially Vitamin C fruits so your scalp can remain healthy..

Some tips fo r managing dandruff are

  • Apply Aloe vera over the hair. Also try t avoid all chemical based soaps and instead you may use Shikkakai or soaps made of natural sources
  • Apply pure cocnut oil on a regular basis after drying your hair after bath
  • Try to manage stress through Yoga, mediation and other leisure activities
  • Intake of Omega- # fatty acids could also help
  • Wash hair with neem leaves/ shkkakai paste when you shower

All the above may be done if the problem exists for a short time. If it had been existent for long then I would suggest you to consult a skin specialist to rule out dermatitis or psoriasis of scalp
