Q: In your thesis of health and healing you mention spinal integrity – could you please expand on this aspect?
A: My teacher and mentor, Mr. Jaffrey often repeated that during all diagnostic procedures – special attention should be paid to the spine.
The spine – the bony prominences and foundations of support for the physical frame - also house and protect the delicate fibres that transmit nerve force to each and every organ.
The entire organism functions as a direct result of nerve force.
• Uninterrupted nerve force produces a high degree of health.
• Interrupted nerve force becomes a cause for conditions of disease.
He also added that should I ever have a case where the cause(s) could not be ascertained – look at the nervous system - with special attention to the spine.
In my 35 years of practise I have found Mr. Jaffrey’s advice to be ‘spot on.

नमस्ते
मेरुदंड पुरे शरीर का नींव है। इसीलिए मेरुदंड को स्वस्थ रखना ज़रूरी है। तंत्रिका दोष (nervous system) मेरुदंड के स्वस्थ ना रहने से होता है। मानसिक बीमारी भी हो सकती है अगर लम्बे समय तक मेरुदंड के स्वास्थ पर ना ध्यान दिया जाए।
आसन (posture) पर ध्यान रखें। posture हमेशा correct रखें।
मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।
मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें।
