Firstly my well-wishes for you as you are going through the dialysis period. This is one of the most challenging periods where it can drain an individual out.
As a dialysis patient you can refrain from dairy products for a while. Let your diet be simple which can include vegetable soups, vegetable khichdi, and include some carbohydrates in moderation etc.
Almond milk you can have as a substitute in moderation.
For a holistic healing during dialysis you may want to walk on the fresh grass barefoot early morning when you can also get the benefit of the early sunrays. Alternatively, you can sit under any tree or be around nature for atleast 45 minutes. This will help you to get the vitality and it is like natures cure because being around green helps to restore us in a way. Its a natures miracle.
When you keep your protein intake low including watch on sodium, potassium and phosphorus you will improve your kidney function, and this should automatically reduce your swelling.
Additionally you can soak your feet for 20 minutes in warm water before going to bed. Keep your feet elevated on the bed.

Immediately to reduce the swelling-
- Please have raw juices only and fruits for few days
- Please immerse your leg in hot and cold water alternatively for 20 mins for twice in a day
- Lie in a position where the legs are more elevated than the level of the heart
Some of these side effects will continue to happen because the kidneys are not filtering and external machine is doing its job. In my opinion, you have to slowly change the way you eat and things that go into your body ( skin and mouth ). This can hopefully reverse your problems. Attacking just the symptoms won’t help in the long run. The accumulated fluids must be drained out. That can be done only when organs collectively work like an assembly line
Just to give you an idea, Kidneys are one of the 5 major excretory organs with a vital function in the body. They clean the blood atleast 300 times per hr. They excrete the metabolic waste from the blood including medicines and bad food wastes. People who consume meds stimulants like tea coffee tax their kidneys considerably. Wastes like urea Uric acid creatinin and byproduct’s of metabolic waste from excess proteins , excess salts, excess sugar ( due to sugar or carb metabolism that did not get used by the cells in cases of diabetes and glycosuria( expelling glucose from urine), excess acids from the blood that was generated to keep the blood alkaline, bad habits like excess water everything is expelled by the kidneys.
Due to wrong living habits over a long period of time, kidneys filters gets clogged and inflamed and develop congestion. If you don’t wash your tea filter, then imagine what happens to your tea? It remains outside the filter and can’t be filtered to the mug. To remove that plaque, you need to take extra steps isn’t it? So you have a lot of waste in the blood that is constantly getting collected and poor filters are still working. Possible suppression during such times / current living habits of food medicines or various aspects like this, led to CKD or chronic kidney disease and in such cases dialysis is being done as the only way bcoz a machine will need to filter the blood and be sent back to the body / the kidneys have lost their ability to filter. God has been very graceful and gave us 2, but we have been misusing his generosity. It’s very important that you realise that your lifestyle has to change drastically - 180degree ulta direction to recover from this condition and it’s definitely possible. .
So like I said kidneys gets inflamed ( swollen ) and bleeding can also happen. Stones and other injuries are common.
This is an occurrence where the inhibitors of the formation of crystals are not present or have been less because of living conditions. So this pebble-like concentration is usually composed of mineral salts. Such people in the initial stages if their urine was collected as a sample would have found pus and blood also. Gravels can also be seen. It’s not an overnight symptom when she experienced this even for the first time. Stones have continued to become larger and larger. In many cases, these are passed via the bladder. Until it reaches the bladder there is a pain and once it’s in the bladder pain reduces. Sometimes if lifestyle is not changed the stone can become bigger and bigger to even come to the badder. These damage the mucosa lining in the kidneys .
Getting to remove the stones via lithotripsy or dissolving it or via surgery is violent ways of addressing the problem because the body condition is still capable of producing stones because the blood is still toxic and thick. Many such methods of removing the stones Can leave behind some residue that can poke and damage the walls of the ureter pipe too.
Food changes
- Plant based minerals don’t harm the kidneys as opposed to man made junk in which oxalate could be present such as chocolates.
- Avoid stimulants like hing too. Adviced to avoid pain meds and bear the pains while this treatment is on bcoz even meds come back to the kidneys to get filtered and we are trying to remove the old meds and such junk. So adding more is adding fuel to the fire.
Immediate relief from pains :-
- Please be on the following juices - don’t take too much water to overload the system. But advised to stay only on natural juices and tender coconut or juices ground in tender coconut and filtered such as below.
- Please have cucumber / kaakdi + Karela or bittergourd + tomato mix juice once a day say 100ml in the morning
- Juice of ash gourd / Durva grass ( used for Ganesh Pooja ) , banana stem / bilwa leaf .
- Fruit juices can be consumed too
- Soft fruits
- Alternate hot and cold pack for sometime and then cold pack must be given at the end of it all together for 20-30min. Helps relieve pain.
- Avoid cooked fully until you reverse. That’s the best and it’s not impossible. It’s just your mind. Plenty of people in India And in this group have healed on raw. Now on this chronic condition, you have no choice in our opinion to still depend on cooked food for tastes which will not help you but drag you further down in the condition.
Long term lifestyle changes:-
- Avoid meat diary ( milk tea coffee curd ghee paneer cheese butter ) sugar jaggery salt ( use moderately in cooked only) , outside packaged foods, sweets , oily foods , maida, refined oils , white rice , unpolished foods, wheat , maida
- Start with a green leafy juice mixed with a watery vegetable like cucumber or ashgourd in the morning with ginger and lime- one big glass say 500ml
- Fruits for breakfast till 12.
- Vegetable salads with lots of greens and no nuts for lunch
- Mildly spiced cooked gluten free oil free meal 30% grains and 70% veggies.

नमस्ते
कारण - शरीर में fluid की कमी से ऐसा हो रहा है।
डायलसिस के प्रोसेस में रक्त के अंदर का fluid कम हो जाता है।
समाधान - 70% कच्चा भोजन लेने से पानी का तलब कम हो जाएगा। शरीर के काम वो ही पानी है जो की कच्चे फल और कच्चे सब्ज़ियों से प्राप्त होता है। इस पानी को रक्त में मिश्रित होने में समय नहीं लगता और वेस्ट भी नहीं होता है। बार बार यूरिनेशन की समस्या से छुटकारा मिल जाएगा।
शारीरिक और मानसिक क्रिया में संतुलन बनाएँ। फल के बाद 3 घंटे का gap रखें। सलाद बाद 5 घंटे का अंतराल रखें। पका हुआ खाना के बाद 12 घंटा का अंतराल रखें।
जीवन शैली - शरीर पाँच तत्व से बना हुआ है प्रकृति की ही तरह।
आकाश, वायु, अग्नि, जल, पृथ्वी ये पाँच तत्व आपके शरीर में रोज़ खुराक की तरह जाना चाहिए।
पृथ्वी और शरीर का बनावट एक जैसा 70% पानी से भरा हुआ। पानी जो कि फल, सब्ज़ी से मिलता है।
1 आकाश तत्व- एक खाने से दूसरे खाने के बीच में विराम दें। रोज़ाना 15 घंटे का उपवास करें जैसे रात का भोजन 7 बजे तक कर लिया और सुबह का नाश्ता 9 बजे लें।
2 वायु तत्व- लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें रुकें फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक टाइम पर करना है। ये दिन में चार बार करें।I
दौड़ लगाएँ। सूर्य नमस्कार 5 बार करें।
3 अग्नि तत्व- सूरर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।
4 जल तत्व- खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें और खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा करना है।
नीम के पत्ते का पेस्ट अपने नाभि पर रखें। 20मिनट तक रख कर साफ़ कर लें।
मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।
खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें या खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा कर सकते हैं।
मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें।
पेट पर खीरा का पेस्ट 20 मिनट लगाएँ। फिर साफ़ कर लें। पैरों को 20 मिनट के लिए सादे पानी से भरे किसी बाल्टी या टब में डूबो कर रखें।
5. पृथ्वी तत्व- कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। सुबह ख़ाली पेट इनमे से कोई भी हरा जूस लें।पेठे (ashguard ) का जूस लें और नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। बेल का पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर 100ml पानी में मिला कर छान कर पीएँ। खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। सभी जूस को छान कर पियें।
ये जूस सुबह नाश्ते से एक घंटे पहले लें। नाश्ते में फल लें। दोपहर के खाने से एक घंटा पहले हरा जूस लें। खाने में सलाद नमक सेंधा ही प्रयोग करें। नमक की पके हुए खाने में भी बहुत कम लें। सब्ज़ी पकने बाद उसमें नमक डालें। नमक पका कर या अधिक खाने से शरीर में (fluid) की कमी हो जाती।
सलाद दोपहर 1बजे बिना नमक के खाएँ तो अच्छा होगा क्योंकि नमक सलाद के गुणों को कम कर देता है। सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें और नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurad) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम डालें।कद्दूकस करके डालें।कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी लें।
रात के खाने में इस अनुपात से खाना खाएँ 2 कटोरी सब्ज़ी के साथ 1कटोरी चावल या 1रोटी लें। रात 8 बजे के बाद कुछ ना खाएँ, 12 घंटे का (gap) अंतराल रखें। 8बजे रात से 8 बजे सुबह तक कुछ नहीं खाना है।
एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ ले सकते हैं।
जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।
तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।
हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।
