I am 2 months pregnant. I have been getting headaches. I tried to link it to hunger and yes it is correlated to some extent. But at times i have eaten well or am not feeling hungry at all, still the headache starts. I know my body is going through many changes, but i hope headache is not because of low bp or some other issue? Besides, these days i get super fatigued in the afternoon and sleep crazily.

Pregnancy surely is a time of many changes and surprises! Your body is going through so many changes. During this, I believe we need to take good care and listen to our body. I hope you are making sure that your daily intake of nourishing foods i.e fruits, salads, nuts etc. is quite high. Along with healthy diet you must sleep well - at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep, in complete darkness. Also focus on breathing during this period.  When you wake up in morning, inculcate a lot of deep breathing exercises. This should also help.

Headaches are a signal to take a good rest.  It is also a signal to increase hydration in body through raw foods.  Remember plain water actually may dilute our blood, so its better to eat your water through fruits and veg juices.

Make sure you are sleeping well, in darkness.  If you have the option do take a nap in afternoon too.  Don’t fight the need for rest. If in office, take a 15 – 20 minute break; close eyes, listen to some meditative music and cool yourself down.

Headaches are a sign of an unhealthy gut in majority of the cases. If you eat assuming there is a connection, itbknly diverts the body to digestion and you assume it’s healed but it returns isn’t it ? Have plenty of fruits during this time and your body will heal and also help the baby in proper nutrition.

Your body in the first trimester is doing maximum growth and growth occurs only in a state of rest. Your body is demanding this rest through the headaches, drowsiness and higher need for sleep. Do not ignore it or push it. Body is the boss. Sleep when sleepy and wake up when eyes open. When you do get a headache put a cold pack on your head or rose water eye pads, deep breathe, relax and lie down. See how effortlessly it will pass. Chew on some dry fruit or drink a raw veg juice at that time. Your headache has got to do with need for rest.
