Hello. My father has pain in legs and doctor has said it's a pain of sciatica. He's taking Ayurvedic medicines and therapy, and avoiding various gas forming vegetables for past 1 month, MRI scan has also been conducted where it was clarified that some muscles have lost moisture. Can it get better earlier as doctor said it would take time, but it feels painful when i see my dad in pain.

समाधान - सुप्त मत्स्येन्द्रासन, धनुरासन, मकरासान, पवनमुक्तासन, अनुलोम विलोम, 

पश्चिमोत्तानासन, अर्धमत्स्येन्द्रासन, शवासन करें।

10% कच्चे हरे पत्ते और सब्ज़ी का जूस बिना नमक निम्बू के लेना है।30% कच्चे सब्ज़ी का सलाद बिना नमक निम्बू के लेना है।10% ताज़ा नारियल सलाद में मिला कर लेना है। 20% फल को लें। पके हुए खाने को केवल एक बार खाएँ नमक भी केवल एक बार पके हुए खाने लें। पके हुए खाने में सब्ज़ी भाँप में पके हों और तेल घी रहित होना चाहिए सब्ज़ी की मात्रा 20% और millet या अनाज की मात्रा 10% हो।

 सूर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें और खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा करना है।

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

 

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। 

 

जीवन शैली - आकाश तत्व - एक खाने से दुसरे खाने के बीच में अंतराल (gap) रखें।

फल के बाद 3 घंटे, सलाद के बाद 5 घंटे, और पके हुए खाने के बाद 12 घंटे का (gap) रखें।

वायु तत्व - प्राणायाम करें, आसन करें। दौड़ लगाएँ।

अग्नि - सूर्य की रोशनी लें।

जल - अलग अलग तरीक़े का स्नान करें। मेरुदंड स्नान, हिप बाथ, गीले कपड़े की पट्टी से पेट की गले और सर की 20 मिनट के लिए सेक लगाए। 

स्पर्श थरेपी करें। मालिश के ज़रिए भी कर सकते है। नारियल तेल से

घड़ी की सीधी दिशा (clockwise) में और घड़ी की उलटी दिशा (anti clockwise)में मालिश करें। नरम हाथों से बिल्कुल भी प्रेशर नहीं दें।

पृथ्वी - सुबह खीरे का जूस लें, खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ। यह juice आप कई प्रकार के ले सकते हैं। पेठे (ashguard ) का जूस लें और कुछ नहीं लेना है। नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। बेल का पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर I100ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। बेल पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर लें। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है। 

फल को चबा कर खाएँ। इसका juice ना लें। फल + सूखे फल नाश्ते में लें।

दोपहर के खाने में सलाद + नट्स और अंकुरित अनाज के लें। बिना नींबू और नमक के लें। स्वाद के लिए नारियल और herbs मिलाएँ।

रात के खाने में इस अनुपात से खाना खाएँ 2 कटोरी सब्ज़ी के साथ 1कटोरी चावल या 1रोटी लें। एक बार पका हुआ खाना रात को 7 बजे से पहले लें।ओ

सेंधा नमक केवल एक बार पके हुए खाने में लें। जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।

एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।

उपवास के अगले दिन किसी प्राकृतिक चिकित्सक के देख रेख में टोना लें। जिससे आँत की प्रदाह को शांत किया जा सके। एनिमा किट मँगा लें। यह किट ऑनलाइन मिल जाएगा। इससे 200ml पानी गुदाद्वार से अंदर डालें और प्रेशर आने पर मल त्याग करें। ऐसा दिन में दो बार करना है अगले 21 दिनों के लिए। ये करना है ताकि शरीर में मोजुद विषाणु निष्कासित हो जाये। इसके बाद हफ़्ते में केवल एक बार लेना है उपवास के अगले दिन। टोना का फ़ायदा तभी होगा जब आहार शुद्धि करेंगे।

In sciatica, as you know the pain originates in the back at the spinal cord where there is degeneration of disc or prolapse of the disc occurs and runs down to both or one leg. 
Causes

  • Stenosis
  • Degeneration of disc etc

Symptoms
It is commonly self diagnosable if the pain originating in the back and runs down to both legs or any one leg.

 
The following things may give relief to the pain:


Generally, if it is acute then it may be cured easily or it may go off by itself. 
In other things.

  • Massage may give some relief
  • Hot and cold applications by fomentation and ice bags may give some instant pain relief. 
  • A hot/neutral spinal bath /general warm/hot bath would give some relief. 
  • Sunbath/sauna bath also would relax the muscles and would give relief. 
  • Yoga and exercise would definitely give relief. Practice it regularly. 
  • Have lots of fruits and vegetables. 
  • Drink more water. 

 

Avoid these following things

  • Avoid travel by road especially by bike. 
  • Avoid lifting heavy objects. 
  • Avoid spicy foods.

Sciatica is a lower back, buttocks and leg pain syndrome most commonly blamed on spinal causation in the lumbosacral area of the backbone. When it is not entirely spine, it can be pseudo-sciatica. Sometimes varicose and sciatica can often co-exist without being diagnosed properly. Unlike varicose, sciatica can be quite disabling in terms of pains. They cause muscle spasms which can make one's life miserable when it happens.

Over a period of time, with predominantly acid-forming diets, adults face weakness in their adrenal glands which affect the lower anatomy of the body and one of that is sciatica. Diet and hormone imbalance from endocrine glandular weakness can lead to inflammation which is the response of the body to protect itself from acids. Natural steroids from adrenals usually counter-balance the inflammation. But when this balance is destroyed, tissue and cellular death can occur leading to various named ailments including sciatica.

  • Many issues can cause an inflammation of the sciatic nerve - your sluggish liver, acidic ph, leaching the lumbar discs, unclean GUT, intestines with rotting food deposits inflaming nerves also leading to the legs. Calcium deposits across the body. Some viruses which are long term in the organs, which have come to eat the decomposing toxins in the body would have made the body their home for years growing stronger with fine while the body weakens with the wrong lifestyle. Their neurotoxins are like acids and the release on any nerve can cause inflammation. Similar nervous issues can cause varicose veins, herpes, facial paralysis, strokes, TGN, etc. just that the names are different as per the symptoms studied by the medical community in different places in the body. On the lower end of the spine, viral activity swells up the nerves in the lumbar spine, forcing the discs to move and causing the nerves to get squeezed too.

All the issues are because of acidity rising in the body while the body needs an alkaline balance to function.

When the body has been fed with fats for all the three meals of the day, the blood eventually becomes toxic and viscous. The heart has to really work hard to pump that soup/jelly into the veins and arteries and suffers to pull it from lower extremities. That’s why people have it more in the legs and not in their hands. Typically such blood is usually dehydrated. The water component ( not H2O) tends to expand and make space when blood flows. But due to the high amount of fat, lack of oxygen the toxins fill up the spaces.

If high acidic foods ( not coming under category of fruits, veg, veggies greens majorly) are injected, their ph. is less than normal, the stomach does not need to make it acidic to process. The pancreas won’t produce the alkaline buffers to the blood to neutralize the acidity raised by the stomach. So this acidic food in its state reaches the next few levels like the duodenum which are not geared for this ph. level and bile from the liver and gallbladder is called to rescue this balance. As this bile continues to be overproduced, the liver becomes tired. If the liver and gallbladder are not in good working condition, enough Bile is not made available to the duodenum, and this is how acidic food reaches the intestines. As liver weakens, the body cleaning is also compromised and blood continues to carry acidic toxins that have the liver could not manage and have reached the intestines where nutrients get absorbed. I went to acidity in the blood goes up, the blood first uses off the alkaline buffers present in its blood plasma to bring the blood closer to an alkaline pH. Unfortunately because of the continuous supply of acidic foods to the body, the level of alkaline buffers is often very low. If the blood pH value falls below this range, then all the bodily fluids such as urine, lymphatic fluid, semen, Cerebrospinal fluids, saliva everything starts becoming acidic. This disrupts all the cellular functions in the body and disturbs the balance. To prevent such a state of decline, the blood starts reducing its acidity by neutralizing it with one of the most alkaline substances in the body that is calcium from the bones. So blood starts dissolving the calcium from the bones in its self to reach an ideal pH level. This is also called leaching of calcium. Blood is a supplier and also a retriever. It will choose parts of the bone where it can leach very quickly such as the ends of the bones. As it continues to do so, that part of the joint weakens and produces pain and inflammation. There will also be severe obstruction of blood flow, the viscosity of blood will be thicker. All these factors lead to the accumulation of toxins across the body.

Whatever may be the explanation for your sciatica, the solution is a natural cure is simple. Avoiding gas-forming veggies is not the solution and neither is taking suppressing pills. He must change his lifestyle.

To do-

  • Do some light stretching exercises early in the morning. 
  • Perform bhujanga asana,paschimottan asana. 
  • Add ginger, black pepper to your food.
  • Have the only plant-based, natural foods for your meals. 
  • Have fresh fruits and vegetables. 
  • Drink a lot of water to flush out the toxins out of the body. 

To avoid-

  • Avoid standing for a long time. 
  • Do not sit in a single posture for long.
  • Avoid tea and coffee. 
  • Avoid packaged foods and processed food items.
