So , gazing word is misleading. Best time is 30-40 mins around sunrise and sunset.
Just see sun for a minute and close your eyes.
Please do it 3-4 times.
Seeing Sun through green leaf is safe and easy so try it

Only at sunrise and sunset you should stand bear feet on earth start with one minute then gradually increase daily one minute till you reach 30 minutes. This is the way it is prescribed.
Replyhuman eye is very sensitive, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can lead to solar retinopathy, pterygium, cataract, and sometimes blindness. Exposure to UV radiations from sun is harmful . So i recommend don't look at sun directly and don't expose your eyes to sunrays. Use sunglasses while going out in the sun for long time. Expose your body to sun for 10-15 min, you will get required vitamin D for your bones and body.
Sun gazing is best done 15 mts from sunrise and 15 mts before sunset. It’s recommended to form a small hole by interlocking your fingers and look through it. This way the brightness gets dimmed. Look at the sun with one eye at a time . But keep the other eye open too, keep blinking and looking until the sun starts looking like a moon and the light feels just as cooling and calming like moon light. It is safe to look directly at the sun this way, if by any chance you still feel uncomfortable looking at the sun you may stop gazing directly.
Sungazing is an excellent practice with many health benefits, including good eyesight. However it is extremely important to do it in the right way and right time. Best if you could do under some expert guidance. In general, it is prescribed to go for sun gazing during sunrise and sunset, with bare eyes, for about 5 min. In case your eyes hurt while looking at the sun, you must stop immediately. Personally, I am not confident of doing it without supervision hence I simply prefer to be out in the sun as much as possible to reap the benefits of sunlight!
Take in the sun once you wake up and again in the evening. If its bright sun, keep eyes shut while taking it in. Or cover your eyes with a leaf and take it in, for 30 sec or 1 minute. Don’t stare into the sun when it's bright it can harm your eyes. Sun gazing is done early in the morning.
