If you are having a very heavy, grain based breakfast you are more than likely to feel dip in energy at around noon.  Cause body requires good amount of energy to digest food. Switching to a heavy breakfast of fruits early morning, say 2-3 rounds and then having an early lunch around 12:30, made a lot of difference.  In retrospect, I think this was also about adding more raw natural foods in my overall daily intake. I did good rounds of fruits in afternoon / early evening too and added ample raw salads with every meal. The principle that body needs less energy to digest food when it has raw foods, seemed to have worked in my case. This allowed me more energy to sleep better / earlier at night.  So that I could add a regimen of daily activity. I notice, the days I have done my breathing, and Yoga stretches well, my energy levels during mid day is better.

I do feel a lull after lunch esp if I have had a grain based meal. That time I take some 20 minutes time out to refresh (mostly I snooze putting some deep meditative music/ meditation video, yes in office too!)

Take breaks during your morning and evenings schedules whether at office or home.  This break ideally should be a mental switch off. So no laptop no phone. Do some stretching.  Air and Sunlight are great energisers so add them in frequest breaks if you can or amply in the mornings.

In evenings when back home, wind down your day.  For some days, do phone-fasting i.e 60 minutes prior to and after getting up no phone, this will also conserve energy

Add an energizing schedule of exercise and activity in your morning’s schedule.  Along with the energy saving practices of having raw foods including fruits and vegetables; activity plays a key part.  Begin with simple stretching. Add morning walks. Yoga poses and breathing all these help the airflow within our body, thus keeping us more energetic during the day

There are 8 time zones in a day (8 पहर). Period from 12 to 4 pm is settling down time after reaching its peak. If you try to sustain same energy level as earlier in the day, you will often find yourself fighting with nature. The best way to resolve it is to be sensitive for few minutes around 12 and align with whatever energy it is offering rather than a decision that you want to remain strong and high through the day. This should help you

We share the above insight with you, from NV Life, which is a health and well-being organisation. Dip in the energy levels, is body’s indicator that it is not able to build energy reserves, but is spending it more vs. conserving.  You can relook at where is this energy likely going. Few reasons could be constant on-the-go without any physical or mental breaks. Lack of restoring sleep at night.   Not enough fresh air, and sunlight (inputs which add to our energy reserves). Another major reason could be digestive load, when you are putting your body through excessive load by eating, processed and packed foods. Foods which are high in salt, sugar,  refined oil, spices, grains, dairy and non veg all put a digestive load

Try adding more raw to your daily meals.  Increase your fruits intake amply especially in the mornings and evenings. Instead of a heavy breakfast in morning, go for wholesome varied big helpings of fruits

Add more salads in lunch and dinner, that ways your body will get easy to digest foods.

Hello,

The dip in your energy could be of two important reasons that is in case if you aren't getting restful sleep throughout the night, and secondly your diet. You need atleast 7-8 hours of proper sleep, secondly, you will feel energetic if you are able to have fruits, and wholesome plant based breakfast in the morning, this will keep your mood levels intact. Additionally, if you are able to find time to exercise in the morning that will be on a plus side for you.

Your body feels lethargic and you feel dip when there are certain chemical imbalances as well, so Serotonin and Dopamine can be balanced or released if you are able to eat nutritious and wholesome in the morning. You can have multigrain bread and peanut butter or almond butter, along with dry fruits and divide your breakfast and snack time.
