Interestingly, I was suggested by my mother in law to apply 'Baasi thook' ie your own saliva before you have brushed, on the affected area.  And it indeed helped! And I now use that as a remedy for any pimples I see on my skin, and find it pretty effective for that too.

Having said that, I am fully aware that baltod / pimples are all ways of my body throwing out excess acidity & toxins via the skins.  So long term approach always comes back to restoring balance of more raw foods and rest in my routine.  Other answers have captured the to-dos for long term pretty well.

Hope this helps!

Hi. Baltod - an infection in the hair follicles.

Why does it happen? - body's ph is out of balance. Infections happen in an acidic medium.

What to do? - restore the balance.

1. Reduce acidic food such as dairy, non veg, refined oil, white sugar, table salt, junk food, grains.

2. Increase alkaline foods such as fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables, more in raw form than cooked.

3. Breathe fresh air. Deep breathe. Soak the sun.

4. Sleep well. Stay relaxed, be stress free.

5. Move. Ensure good blood circulation. Exercise. Sweat also eliminates the accumulated toxins in body.

For Short term relief -

1. Apply coconut oil with haldi.

2. Take juice of 1 lemon, add pinch of haldi, few drops of ginger juice, 1 spoon honey.... and drink 3 times a day.

3. Do warm packs on affected area

I know someone who overcame this issue naturally. Have asked him to help you. Let's wait for his response.

My journey with boils/furuncles/carbuncles/baltod has been long and painful one. I tried everything from ajwain ka patta, to hot pack to cold pack, to aloe vera, to special honey, gud namak ke lep, etc for relief to fruit fast, grain free fast, enema, acupuncture, etc for cleanse. I could perhaps write an essay on the same but my journey is not important, the lessons are -

1. You can get rid of the carbuncles by doing an enema and fast, or poping pills and rubbing some ointments. Though the former is better it does not help you figure why you got it and how to enusre you don't get it again. Remedies are remedies whether they are Ayurvedic, Naturopathic, Allopathic, Homeopathy, Acupressure, Acupuncture, etc. My biggest lesson was to work beyond relief and carbuncles are a blessing as your body is still talking to you, actually screaming! :)

2. Nature cure requires you to think differently but end of the day it is again focused on cure rather than care. The difference is subtle and was brought to notice by this team doing wonderful work in the world of Wellness - The Health Awareness Center, Mumbai (Worli). If you don't know what caused the problem, there is a little chance you can fix it root up. In my consultation with them I learnt _fixing_ is not a good approach. As mentioned in other posts when the body is not in balance skin is one of the mediums to discard the waste. If you wish to get a more holistic advice on the topic please get in touch with THAC -

I have not worked with anyone with this condition, but I did work with people having alopecia where chunks of hair just keep falling and severe dandruff.

All of them have healed and the bald patches have started to regrow.

They followed a majorly raw diet with a vegan cooked lifestyle. They were not on full raw. They had cooked whole foods in the night. Overall Anchal has indicated the details of the right food habits. If when followed will result in a reversal of the toxic condition of the scalp.

Hope the alopecia guys share their journeys on wellcure soon :-(

Anchal has given the right answer. There is toxicity in the system which is being thrown out through the hait follicles. Apart from food habits as suggested, please expose yourself to sunshine and take good rest. Keep faith in the body that it is healing all the time. So worrying should be reduced. These three things will get you good results.
