Q&A
09:55 AM | 22-02-2019

I had my gall bladder removed in 2007 but after that I started having acid reflux issues, I’ve had it for almost 8 years now and I took medications as needed. But now it’s bothering me a lot more and my doctor wants me to have pills on a very regular basis and an increased dosage on that. I will have to start medication right now but I am looking for natural ways to reduce it. Please help!

Hello. Try having not more than one grain meal in a day. For eg: If you are eating roti / chawal in lunch, keep breakfast & dinner grain free. That's because grains are difficult to digest foods & most of the grains are acidic. In breakfast you can have fruits - as is or in the form of juices or smoothies, dairy-free & sugar-free though. For ideas, visit the recipes section of wellcure. For dinner, you can do salads or soups.

Also, don't take stress. You will be fine soon with these natural changes. Stress will only aggravate your acid reflux. You must focus on relaxing. Sleep well, sit in the sun, deep breathe.

All the best dear.

Avoid citrus or lime until the digestion improves. If your acids were ok, you could have alkalized it easily. Increase your raw foods like Asha mentioned and then over a period add acidic juicy fruits. Till then avoid it for sometime is my submission

Gall bladder removal means the digestive system strength has been compromised. Anyway, what has happened has happened. It is better to opt for a low fat plant based diet high in fruits and vegetables. Keep raw food intake upto 80% of your diet. You will definitely see improvement. This has to be a permanent change from now on

Hi. My heart goes all out for you dear, hang in there you will be fine soon. Your solution lies in Natural Foods. Eat more of easy-to-digest natural foods such as fruits & veggies.

Have only fruits till 12 noon & once again a generous serving in the evening.

Have raw veggie salad with your lunch & dinner.

Few things should be a complete no for you - 1. Dairy 2. Non-veg 3. Tea/coffee 4. Wheat, including soojee & maida 5. White sugar

Take a lemon's juice, dilute it with little water & drink it. Do this 3 times a day.

You are in which city? Let me know, I'll try to guide you to a natural health expert who can hand hold you to do the changes.

Yes Shalu, lemon is citrus. But it has an alkalizing effect on the body. Infact so do fruits & veggies. Did anyone tell you to drop the 5 tings I mentioned above which are truly truly acidic?? Maybe not, unfortunate that Natural Foods are made the villain :-(......Anyway, i'll message you on on one with a few references. These are very renowned people in the field of Natural Health. So just do as they say. My best wishes to you for a healthy recovery.......I'll message you one on one, click on your profile & you'll be able to see my messages.

So two questions
1. I’ve been asked to avoid citrus fruits, won’t lemon/ lime be citrus? When I read stuff they say avoid tomatoes/beets/ radishes ?? I’m confused
2. I’m in Cincinnati OH, can u connect me with someone 1-1 to just guide me through this (online/phone anything )
