Hello Rashmi,

Anxiety and fear are often correlated. They may result from a very stressful lifestyle or an emotional shocklack. Lack of balanced diet with all the essential nutrients and minerals, improper gut movement also add on to the stress levels.
But all this can be resolved by a natural lifestyle.

Diet

  • Start your day with a glass of warm water as this will help to flush out the toxins from the body.
  • Have overnight soaked raisins. This will improve the digestion.
  • Diet should be rich in nutrients and all the essential minerals. For that include almonds, sprouts, beans, salads, cashews, whole grains to your diet.
  • Avoid oily, spicy, processed and packaged foods.
  • Make sure to drink sufficient water during the day to be hydrated.

Exercise

  • For a healthy mind, a healthy body is equally important. Any kind of physical activity improves the blood circulation in the whole body and also the flow of oxygen increases to brain which helps to get rid of anxiety and stress issues.
  • Start your day with a morning walk of atleast 30min in a place full of trees or in a garden.
  • Look at the blue sky in the morning, this will give a soothing effect to your mind.
  • Practice yoga regularly like bhujanga asana, trikona asana, sarvanga asana.

Meditation

Meditation is very effective in dealing with stress, anxiety and all the other mental issues.

Practice meditation daily for atleast 20min.

Bhramri pranayam is also a type of meditation. The vibrations created while doing the pranayam relaxes the mind and gives it the necessary energy.

Sleep

Sleeping time and pattern is very important as it affects the circadian rhythm.

Sleep at fixed time and get up at fixed time.

Sleep early at night at around 10pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6am.

Don't use any electronic devices 1hour before sleeping for a good quality sleep.

Thank you

Dear Rashmi,

We do understand your concern! To begin with, please understand that as per Nature Cure approach the body is seen as a whole unit and therefore any health issue (physical/mental) is concerned with the overall functioning and internal state of balance. Owing to wrong lifestyle choices, toxins get accumulated in the body and disrupt the internal balance. Our gastrointestinal tract ( GI Tract or GUT) is a long tube inhabited by millions of microbes and about 70% of our health depends on the quality of the gut. These microbes play a crucial role in communicating with the brain. When the sensitive balance of gut flora (microbes) is disturbed it affects our mental health too.

If we support the body with the right inputs in terms of food as well as non-food elements (like sleep, exercise, relaxation etc.) we can prevent and heal mental health issues. We would thereby encourage you to adopt a natural lifestyle to deal with your condition. You can explore our Natural Health Coaching Program that helps you in making the transition, step by step. Should you feel the need to take one-on-one consultation with a mental health coach, we could help you connect with one.
