Read moreJournalling is a very good choice to make in this case since it is going to be tough in the beginning. Make a list of things you really really want to do in life.. ex: playing with your children, being happy and healthy even in your old age, being able to garden, hike etc.. basically what are your life goals and is your current habit supporting that? Go through it every night and morning during bed time.
The person also needs to heal his gut by following healthy eating habits and lifestyle practices. A healthy gut will have no cravings for such kinds of habits.

The only requisite that is most importantly needed for one to get rid of smoking is his will and wish to quit smoking.
Once he is determined then half the battle is already won.
1 Remove all cigarettes from home, office, and where ever he stocks them.
2 Take a holiday for about a week from work and household responsibilities.
3 Start the day with morning ablutions. Go out in the garden or open for a fresh morning walk. Get good sun exposure too.
4 After coming back home start the day with fresh seasonal and locally grown ripe sweet fruits.
5 lunch could be a simple meal one pot preferably With lots of veggies . [the cooked option only till he finds it easy to transition to mostly raw ]
6 Evenings he could have a large salad with greens and sprouts. No food after sunset. But if reallyhingry then he may opt for a single fruit.
7 To remove the deposits of nicotine from the blood it’s good that he sweats a lot by brisk walking or by mild excercise or sun exposure. The more he sweats the Lesser will be the craving.
8 He May rest in the day if he is tired or feeling depressed. It’s better to sleep and relax.
9 If he is finding it extremely difficult to be without smoking then just one or two puffs could be allowed. But let the cigarette be bought from the market after he demands for it. And let someone else get it for him. This way he can slowly minimise his smoking.
10 It would be great if someone very understanding and compassionate person can be with him to hand hold him and talk to him so that when ever there aretoxins releasing he has some one around him to help him get through it gently .
11 Stay as close to nature as possible. Be sufficiently hydrated. See to it that the bowel movement is regular. Sleep well at night. May take a nap in the day too if he feels tired.
All the best
Be happy be healthy always

Smoking is like any other addiction. People will be surprised if I say even eating is an addiction. Eating bad foods is also an addiction. Many have overcome similar addictions with adopting raw food to flood their body. Natural foods like fruits greens and vegetables in the form of having green leaves juice in the morning, followed by nothing but fruits till 12pm and having vegetable salads in the afternoon or a whole food plant based meal changes the gut bio diversity or good bacteria colony living in the gut. They send the right signals to the brain and hence addictions are eventually controlled and becomes an aversion. In many cases de addiction centres focus on mediations or suppressants to control it, but that is also temporary. The only way to control any form of addiction is to flood the body with juices and fruits. Focusing on only onecooked meal in the night . This helps once to quit diary coffee tea sugar maida and packaged foods too. Oncebody is high on fruits day after day one feels an aversion towards any junk and gradually the additions stop. Try and get back to us .
If you change you Life sytle and adopting to natural healing Definitely the patient can overcome.
Let see some measure:
Daily exercise of about half an hour may be helpful. Yoga in particular is very effective. He should consult yoga expert for this.
Chew on low calorie foods like celery, apples and carrots. Engaging himself in various activities like reading, singing, socializing. So that he can divert his mind.
Many Herbal teas also will help like ginger tea, or mint tea.
And last but not the least, once quit never start it again.
