Is Gilol juice can be given to a 5 year old child as a precaution against viral fever?

I think you mean Amruthballi ( creeper ) juice. Let me clarify the reasons why body gives a fever. Fever is body’s natural response to fight the invaders or scavengers who have come to eat the toxins that have accumulated in his body. The reasons why you had eye infection,  the reasons why he has a fever/ you are trying to avoid a fever and the reasons why your wife has a fever are accumulation of toxins . All same reasons but different symptoms. All these are acute stages of body handling the toxins and flushing it. If this is suppressed at this stage, it will continue to accumulate and cause other issues where you might think you need to medicate daily. Anything from a mild body issue to cancer are all lifestyle issues. If he has toxins, the virus will come to eat that too. Have you thought why some people in the same family get a dengue for example and why some don’t get ? Virus and bacteria are natural scavengers. They come where food or organic matter is rotting. It can be on the food kept on the table or the undigested food in the body. 

All the food that we eat that is not supposed to be human food rot because body is not designed to process it or digest it till the exit. It just stores because life must go on. This stored junk attracts the scavengers and they release their poop and pee also called neurotoxins and that causes inflammation which  in English medicine they have multiple names depending on the part of the body that’s inflammed. We can go on and on about this topic, but I encourage you to read the valuable and informative articles in the body wisdom section on wellcure for answers as it has everything you will need to know to keep yourself and your family healthy. 

To start with remove all animal products like diary meat eggs fish. Sugar maida wheat and embrace a whole food plant based lifestyle with lots of fruits veggies and greens. Whole food means eating foods the way god created it. Unpolished, unrefined, unprocessed, in parts. Oils are part of the seed.. eat the seed instead. 

To address the fever if he has, you must let the body donits job. Fever is a good sign tat he has enough vitality or life force in his body to fight and keep his body safe. If you medicate him, you are going against the body’s natural response of keeping its fort protected. 

Keep him on any pulpless fruit juices like lime moodambi orange grapes water melon carrot juice tender coconut and things like this . Hydrating the body will also flush the toxins out and keep natural thermostat in order. This will ensure tat body will not get into a situation to rise beyond its need and cause adverse consequences ( as understood by the medical community) during a high fever. Fever is not to be worried about. Let it happen and handle it naturally. Don’t look at herbs to reduce the temperature. It’s only going to work against the body even if it’s a herb. Herbs used in wrong situations is wrong too.

Yes, it can be given to person of any age.
But the strong taste of giloy might be very stringent to the child. To make its taste better, you can add amla to giloy and then make a. Juice out of it

Giloy is one of the most beneficial plant so pls do not hesitate in giving it to your baby not only the fever but it will also make his immunity strong..

But give it in its natural form
Take a one inch stem, wash it nicely, crush it a bit and dip it in a water jug at night and you can give your baby a glass of this water in the morning the taste ofcourse is a bit bitter then let him decide how much he wants to drink.

You can give it to children but maybe because of it's stringent taste their brain might reject it by vomiting it out. Try giving it diluted with something (lemon, water, apple or fruit juice) that
Would help them accepting it.

But try to understand one simple thing.
Fever is a defence mechanism of our body against pathogens or anything that might disturb our immunity.
By increasing body temperature it tries to kill the pathogen that  cannot withhold higher temperature.

And second thing they are children ,they are still developing their immunity. These interactions enhances immunity of body with help of memory t cells.

So that the next time your body is attacked by any pathogen ,our immune system responds faster and better.

Make sure your children are more active as nowadays children spend more leisure time in front of screens.
Make them connect to nature by taking them on morning walks with you so that they encounter much more fresh air.

Let them grow.
Just make sure they don't fall ill by providing them more nutrition with help of multivitamin fruits and vegetables. 
Even if they do make sure  they follow healthy habits of living.

Fevers are supposed to be our friends not foes. 

And if you feel you must help your child stay free of fever the best way would be to keep his food healthy and full of life ( fresh fruits vegetables and  sprouts and nuts). Keep him off processed, chemical laden packaged food like foods. Keep him off dairy or any other animal products. 

Keep his gut and his entire system clean by following a healthy lifestyle. 

Help him stay positive and happy always. 

Keep him away from gadgets.

Make being out in the open fresh air, sun and in contact with the earth a very integral part of his life. Involve him in activities in the garden or in nature. 

This way there will not be much of toxins accumulating in his system and so he will not end up getting fevers. 

Still if he gets a fever, just welcome it with love. Let your boy rest well.... mentally, physically and physiologically ( let his digestive system rest too by not giving him any thing to eat or drink except water with lemon drops). The fever will come down as soon as it finishes its job of burning down the accumulated toxins.

Its a herb not meant to consume daily.
instead it you can add honey n cardamom or ginger to treat fever.

प्रत्युष जी,

इस आहार शुद्धि से रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता अधिक मज़बूत होगी और बच्चे का शरीर मौसमी बदलाव को बिना किसी परेशानी के सहन कर लेगा।

प्रतिदिन सुबह ख़ाली पेट कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। अगले सुबह ख़ाली पेट इनमे से कोई भी हरा जूस लें।पेठे (ashguard ) का जूस लें और  नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। बेल का पत्ता 8 से 10 पीस कर 100ml पानी में मिला कर छान कर पीएँ। खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। इसमें ही मौसम के बदलाव के वक़्त गिलोय के पत्ते 3 से 4 पीस कर 100ml पानी में मिला छान कर  दे सकते हैं। रोज़ देने की ज़रूरत नहीं है।

ये जूस सुबह नाश्ते से एक घंटे पहले लें। नाश्ते में फल लें। दोपहर के खाने से एक घंटा पहले हरा जूस लें। खाने में सलाद नमक सेंधा ही प्रयोग करें। नमक की पके हुए खाने में भी बहुत कम लें। सब्ज़ी पकने बाद उसमें नमक डालें। नमक पका कर या अधिक खाने से शरीर में (fluid)  की कमी हो जाती।

सलाद दोपहर 1बजे बिना नमक के खाएँ तो अच्छा होगा क्योंकि नमक सलाद के गुणों को कम कर देता है। सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें और नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurad) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम डालें।कद्दूकस करके डालें।कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी लें।

रात के खाने में इस अनुपात से खाना खाएँ 2 कटोरी सब्ज़ी के साथ 1कटोरी चावल या 1रोटी लें। रात 8 बजे के बाद कुछ ना खाएँ, 12 घंटे का (gap) अंतराल रखें। 8बजे रात से 8 बजे सुबह तक कुछ नहीं खाना है।

एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।

बच्चे को बाहर के खेल कूद (out door gems) से परिचय करवाएँ। ये बच्चे के स्वास्थ के लिए ज़रूरी है।
