Quinoa is an ancient superfood. It was the staple food for people in the pre Columbian civilisations ( red indians). All this changed with the arrival of the Spanish and introducing of other grains.
Quinoa has sufficient amount of all 9 types of amino acids. It is gluten free. It has high amount of fibre, potassium, iron, magnesium, B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and many beneficial anti oxidants.
Eating quinoa everyday would not cause you any known adverse effects. Rather some studies suggest that they could help people with ill health heal better and faster. The reason could be it being high in fibre, being gluten free and being easy on the digestive system. It can certainly help you with weight reduction.
But weight reduction is not only about what you are eating, it is more about your over all lifestyle. And that means your lifestyle must be as much in sync with nature as possible. Food is just one part. And fresh, local and seasonal fruits and vegetables must be your first choice.

Amaranth or rajgira is Indian and you can use Indian seeds because your genetic structure would adapt to local regional foods. Either way you can have it, it’s not bad.
Coming to whether it causes weightloss , you see body acts on the food and not vice-versa. That’s why the same foods don’t show the documented benefits to every single person who eats it. It depends on the condition of your body to digest the food and absorb the nutrients and make its own needs. Quinoa is a grain = starch food, so you should only eat small amounts of this in your diet (15% max.)

Quinoa has no healing properties, healing is a biological process. Quinoa has no properties that will 'help you lose weight'.
Quinoa is really great when mixed with lots of chopped up salad vegetables...Maybe I should post my recipe next time I make it.
Quinoa is a seed. It is not native to India which explains why it is so expensive.
One food by itself won't help you to lose weight. Weight loss is a combination of many factors like food, exercise, less stress, sleep and so on. In terms of food, if you are looking for healthy weight loss have mainly fruits, vegetables, a little bit of cooked food and nuts in the ratio of 50-35-10-5.
And if you are really looking to eat some grains, choose millets since they are grown locally.
