I am suffering from epilepsy side 2016 and taking 9 tablets everyday , still sometimes i get epilepsy attacks. How can i get rid of this disease?

Hello Ji,

It is very important for the patient to maintain proper food timings and choose less spicy, less oily fresh food.

Oily, fatty, spicy and stale food must be avoided.

Late nigh parties, late night dinners, late night study or keeping awake at night for work should be strictly avoided.

Meditation and other relaxation techniques should be used regularly to ensure that stress does not disturb the electric activities in brain.

Doing Yoga, Pranayama regularly have positive effects on brain chemistry and help curing epilepsy.

Epilepsy is a disorder of nervous system when brain does not get enough oxygen then epilepsy attack arises 
Naturally via changing some daily habits we can overcome this disease 

  1. Start consuming green vegetables and legumes this are rich in fibres 
  2. Take avocado and nuts 
  3. Kivi fruit also good in epilepsy 
  4. Start pranayam and ardh shirshasan, anulom vilom and meditation 
  5. Set your wake up and sleeping timing 
  6. Rest your brain properly

Dear Raghav

Please practice Yoga ( including asanas, pranayama, meditation and relaxation) daily atleast 45 minutes a day.

There are plenty of scientific study suggesting beneficial effects of yoga in epilepsy. 

  1. It reduces the frequency of seizures
  2. Improves your quality of life
  3. And also improves the functions of your nervous system ( autonomic nervous system)

Kindly practice under expert guidance for benefits of yoga in your condition and practice it daily.

नमस्ते 

राघव जी शरीर का भोजन कच्चे फल सब्ज़ी सलाद हैं पका हुआ खाना सिर्फ़ आपके मानसिक संतुष्टि के लिए है।

सुबह बेल्पत्रा5 को पीस कर100ml पानी मिला कर  पीएँ, 2 घंटे बाद फल खाएँ, दोपहर 12 बजे पालक10पत्ते+पुदीना10पत्ता पीस कर 100ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ, 1घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ, शाम5 बजे नारियल पानी या सफ़ेद पेठे(ashguard)20ग्राम पीस कर 100ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ।

रात के खाने में सलाद लें और सलाद 8बजे से पहले लें, सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें, नारियल की गिरि मिलाएँ।

लाल,हरा,पीला शिमला मिर्च1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ बिना नमक के खाएँ, बहुत फ़ायदा होगा।

जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं

तेल,मसाला, और (wheat) गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो 

गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें, रुकें फिर पूरा स्वाँस ख़ाली कर के रुकें, फिर साँस लें तो ये एक चक्र है ऐसे 10 चक्र करें, जितनी देर स्वाँस को सहजता से रोक सकें उतना ही रोकें। अनुलोम विलोम भी10 मिनट के लिए करें और भ्रमरी प्राणायाम 10मिनट के लिए करें।

मेरुदंड ( स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें, हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में ३ दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। 

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

सर पर सूती कपड़ा बाँध कर उसके ऊपर खीरा और मेहंदी या करी पत्ते का पेस्ट लगाएँ,नाभि पर खीरा का पेस्ट लगाएँ।पैरों को 20 मिनट के लिए सादे पानी से भरे किसी बाल्टी या टब में डूबो कर रखें सोने से पहले बहुत लाभ होगा,

Hello,

Epilepsy being a Neurotic condition, a lot of care has to be taken to have healthy brain. In this case it's not only diet that matters but the more you are able to go out in the nature, the more you recover from your neurotic condition as nature provides healing to us in many ways.

Talking about diet I would encourage you to be on Plant based diet including all kinds of leafy vegetables and sprouts. You can have all kinds of fruits and dry fruits. Roasted flax seeds are recommended or advised for your brain health. 

In the morning you can go out in the nature for a walk or walk barefoot on the grass for atleast 20 minutes. Walking barefoot on the grass means you are not only connected with nature but you release all the negative ions from your body, and receive the positive elements from nature. 

Positive Mindfulness helps in neurotic condition as it programs your subconscious mind and also provides relaxation to your nerves. 

If you can work with your Doctor to taper your medicines slowly while you practice healing naturally will help you slowly to be free from medicines.

Epilepsy is a neurological condition in which the electrical activities of the brain cells are disturbed causing seizures and other unusual behaviours.

Most of the people with epilepsy experience recurrent seizures, because a sudden surge or disturbances of electrical activity in the brain causing a temporary abnormal function of brain cells.

 

Certain modifications in your diet and lifestyle activities can be of great help in preventing the recurrence of seizures. 

• A diet rich in a high amount of fats is usually recommend which means to cut or decrease the amount of carbs and proteins. 

• consume more vegetables like dark leafy greens, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots.

• Fruits such as avocado, coconuts, strawberries and other berries are good fruits highly recommended.

• Almonds, cashews, walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds, pistachios, sunflower seeds, olive oils are highly recommend because of the rich fat contents, magnesium and other nutrients.

• Avoid low-fat diets, sugary foods, pastries, sweet drinks and every other artificial sweetener added food.

• Keep your body and mind healthy with regular exercise, yoga and workouts, This will help in keeping your mind fresh and healthy by leaving no rooms for stress and anxiety. 

• Try practising meditations. It'll be of great help in calming down your mind and it's activities.

Epilepsy may sound complex, but it’s definitely curable. I have worked with 2 kids aged 4 who healed completely and currently working with a child who has symptoms of autism and also epilepsy since he was 4. He is now 23. It’s been 3 months and the severity is coming down and the episodes are reducing in frequency. 

We must understand why the body has seizures. Whenthe toxins are very heavy in the body and viral activity is huge, they cause sudden inflammation tothe surrounding nerves in the brain or in the CNS. It takes few secs or minutes for the body to recover from that shock and start a response to handle that situation and get the person to become normal. To make the body more alert and make sure it addresses it before the issue happens, it must be able to anticipate risks and mitigate it before it happens. For that it must be fed a high positive diet and clean the body off the toxins. If body becomes clean, there won’t be a need for scavengers to be here to feed on it thereby the body’s regular response mechanism will be back. 

Start your day with a big glass of cucumber juice made with two cucumbers, followed by a big bowl of fruits, followed by a big bowl of vegetable salads until dinner. You can have any number of servings of fruits in a day without worrying about the sugar content in it. For dinner have 30% milletsAnd 70% grains cooked without any cooking oil. Consumption of leafy greens in all forms is essential along with fruits which will help clean your system. Avoid animal foods such as dairy eggs meat fish , then sugar , oils, outside foods, refined oils, processed foods, coffee tea alcohol.

Bring yoga pranayama and meditation in your day. Connect yourself with nature by showing gratitude to the Sun by exposing yourself to the sun for about 30 minutes in a day in the morning.

 

Practice happiness from within rather than expecting happiness from external sources. 

We must ensure that meds are weaned off as body heals.
