I do a rotational shift and don't get proper sleep and hence, get angry fast and get irritated easily, reduced sleep. Its all affecting me and my husband's relationship. Please help.

Hello!!! thanks for your question.

Sleep depravity can definitely cause chemical imbalance. You need to first at least allow your body to rest for 6-7 hours. Once you are able to get proper sleep I am sure you will not react impulsively or become sensitive. 

Secondly, you need to eat well..So make sure your body is not only hydrated but you get the good nutrition that your body needs to keep happy and calm.

To add on please do take peppermint and chamomile tea for calming effect on Mind.

Sharon, there is no replacement for nights sleep. When you do a rotational shift which changes every now and then, firstly the body is changing its internal cycle every few days, but ideally it works best when it follows the sun cycle or circadian rhythm.

To be honest, you are not Happy’s  with your shift yourself. Best is to look for s better jobs that suits your lifestyle. Why do we work ? To earn money to lead a happy life isn’t it ? When the money you earn is not giving you happiness and it’s jeopardising your own marriage, what’s the point of such a job ? Start looking for a day time job.

Understand why something makes you angry. It’s your expectations on someone else. Is it logical to expect someone / control the thoughts in someone’s mind to dance to your tune when you cannot control your own mind to not be angry when you know it’s harming you ?its not possible to control Them isn’t it ?   The experiences you are encountering will make you as a soul a better person. It’s lesons coming to you to learn from it . Learning is patience, empathy , compassion.. yes you are tired and stressed and that’s your choice. Why tax someone else for that ? Fix your root cause and then see if you are still angry at your husband. If you do a day job and that gives you happiness and that also makes you understand that everyone comes with flaws including you. You are here on earth to fix your flaws. If you were perfect, then you would not be coming to wellcure or earth. So find ways to be happy within your own mind. Others bring you unhappy experiences with a hidden lesson always. You attract experiences that your cells are vibrating at. So it’s you who has the remote control to your own happiness . Fix that and things will be ok. 

Its also advisable to switch to a whole food plant based lifestyle by quitting animal foods. Having foods high in fruits veggies and greens will bring peace and tranquility to your mind and thoughts over a period of time majorly because the communication from the gut to brain will improve. Harmones will be better. You won’t face a lot of low and high in life. Also since eating an animal based diet also has animal cruelty in that,  it’s best to Have foods that saves animals and not cause death. Lead a plant based lifestyle.

Hy...i suggest you to follow pranayama for atleast 10-15 min Daily twice per day.
Balancing Pranayama help you calm your body and mind both.
Do atleast 10 count's of these following pranayamas-
1. Brahamari Pranayam- it helps in the production of happy hormone dopamine from pituitary gland.
2. Nadishudhi pranayama- balances the hormones.
3. Chandrabhedhna pranayama- only left nostril breathing.
4. Ujjai pranayama- it helps balancing the hormonal secretions from thyroid gland.
5. Sheetali pranayama- cooling pranayama helps reducing the blood pressure which soothen the mind, reduces the stress.

If you can sleep for 9-11pm in the night try to sleep in that period of time it is known as yognidra.it will help you deal with sleep deprived problem which you face on  regular basis.

Hello Sharon,

You have a rational shift because of which your sleeping time and sleeping hours varies and hence you don't get enough sleep.This disturbs your body and body's biological clock or circadian rhythm. 
You cannot replace your night sleep with anything. Night sleep is very important for the equilibrium of body and not getting enough sleep results in hormonal changes.
So,these hormonal changes and disturbed circadian rhythm results in anxiety and anger.

Since there is no replacement of night sleep, so you should take proper Sleep at night. 

Also,cut dairy products from your diet.
Avoid animal products like meat.

Try to avoid tea or coffee. 

Be completely on natural plant based foods.Have seasonal fruits, vegetables, nuts,sprouts, beans. 

Drink a good amount of water throughout the day. 
Have tender coconut. 

Do yoga regularly and meditate daily.

Namaste. 

The main reason is since you are in your rotational shift your system will not adapt as easy to have a good sleep. This leads to lazyness, mood swings and frustration relationship with your partner. 

Either try to talk to your reporting manager to give you one particular shift or change shift once in two months to have normal life. 

Avoid having animal products, milk or dairy if any. 

Do some physical exercise and breathing exercise to keep yourself fit and calm. 

Eat healthy food, have fruits and some semi boiled veggies, nuts to balance your life style. 

Freak out with your partner and take good  decision to have smooth life. 

Be healthy and fit.

Hi,

Since you are on shift duty, you and your body are under constant stress. A couple of things could be done immediately. Give up completely on caffeine. It makes us more irritable, you may feel good while taking your tea or coffee immediately, but later it causes a sugar crash on your body and alters your sleep patters, moods and anxiety levels. Next, important is be physically active and eat healthy food. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables , as far as possible in their raw form . They are rich in enzymes and micronutrients which provide you with energy. Lastly before bedtime donot watch any electronic gadgets , try listening to some soothing music, read a positive book. मानसिक समस्या भी इसी शरीर की समस्या है सब कुछ इस बात पर निर्भर करता है कि हम किसी भी परिस्थिति में सकारात्मक सोंच रखते हैं या नकारात्मक।

प्राकृतिक जुड़ाव आपको सकारात्मक सोंच प्रदान करेंगी क्योंकि प्राकृतिक जीवन शैली अपने आप में पूर्ण भी है और जीवंत भी है। पाँच तत्व से प्रकृति चल रही है और उसी पाँच तत्व से हमारा शरीर चल रहा है।

1 आकाश तत्व- एक खाने से दूसरे खाने के बीच में विराम दें। रोज़ाना 15 घंटे का उपवास करें जैसे रात का भोजन 7 बजे तक कर लिया और सुबह का नाश्ता 9 बजे लें। वाद्य यंत्र शास्त्री संगीत (instrumental classical music)सुनें।

2 वायु तत्व- लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें रुकें फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक टाइम पर करना है। ये दिन में चार बार करें।

अपने कमरे में ख़ुशबू दार फूलों को रखें।

3 अग्नि तत्व- सूर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

4 जल तत्व- नहाने के पानी में ख़ुशबू वाले फूलों का रस मिलाएँ। नींबू या पुदीना का रस मिला सकते हैं।खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें या खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा कर सकते हैं।

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

सर पर सूती कपड़ा बाँध कर उसके ऊपर खीरा और मेहंदी या करी पत्ते का पेस्ट लगाएँ,नाभि पर खीरा का पेस्ट लगाएँ।पैरों को 20 मिनट के लिए सादे पानी से भरे किसी बाल्टी या टब में डूबो कर रखें।

5 पृथ्वी- सब्ज़ी, सलाद, फल, मेवे, आपका मुख्य आहार होगा। आप सुबह खीरे का जूस लें, खीरा 1/2 भाग +धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है।

दोपहर में 12 बजे फिर से इसी जूस को लें। इसके एक घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ। शाम को नारियल पानी लें फिर 2 घंटे तक कुछ ना लें। रात के सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें, नारियल की गिरि मिलाएँ।

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। इसे बिना नमक के खाएँ, बहुत फ़ायदा होगा।

जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा।एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।
