
Cabbage Salad

Experimenting with different combinations of vegetables, textures and flavours is often helpful when trying to incorporate raw salads in your daily intake. Not only does it help cater to individual taste buds it also breaks the monotony of having the same old salad. Try this one! A combo of cabbage with a variety of colourful vegetables. Its ready in no more than 15 minutes and is extremely filling. Could be used as a meal replacement as well!
Indulge in this colourful and flavorful cabbage salad!
Ingredients
- Cabbage: ½ small (finely shredded)
- Carrot: 1 (grated)
- Corn: 1 small cup (shelled +steamed)
- Spring Onion: 2 stalks (finely chopped)
- Cucumber: 1 small (finely chopped)
- For Seasoning:
-
Whole mustard seeds: ½ tsp

Curry leaves: 1 sprig
-
Hing: a pinch
-
Lemon juice: ½ tbsp
-
Rock Salt: To taste
-
Peanuts: 2 tbsp (roasted/peeled and halved)
-
Coriander: 2 tbsp (chopped fine)

Method
- In a heated pan, roast the mustard till it pops, then add the curry leaves and hing. Switch off the flame once the leaves turn brown.
- In a mixing bowl, add all the chopped veggies and mix well.. Add your seasoning at the end and give a thorough mix once again.
- Garnish with fresh coriander.
