Hi, Is drinking hot water with lemon and honey first thing in the morning a good practice?? Also, I came across in some places that honey in hot water turns toxic and affects the body, how far is this true? Thanks in advance

It is absolutely wrong as far as the toxic honey and warm water thing goes. Lukewarm water and honey along with lemon and cinnamon have been an age-old remedy for detox and cutting of fats. moreover, some of the purest honey is also naturally found in the parts of Rajasthan where the temperature in summer goes as high as 50-55 degrees Celcius while the luke warm water is hardly 40.5- 45 degrees.
So as to summarise it, No! the honey does not turn toxic when added to warm water and you can use it without any hesitation.

Drinking warm water in the morning helps in flushing out the toxins and helps in the regulation of the blood. The role of honey is it acts as a coolant in the body and regulates the body temperature.
Daily consumption of the mixture with one tablespoon of lemon juice will help in the regulation of electrolyte. The best part in addition to these things in the body will help in building immunity and increase metabolism.

Drinking hot water in the morning on empty stomach helps to flush the toxins out of the body and the lemon in it helps to increase the metabolism of the body and it has antioxidant properties too.
Adding honey to the mixture of warm water and lemon has some benefits too. It will help to increase the immunity, improves digestion, soothes allergy and also helps in fat loss.

Drinking hot water along with lemon juice and honey is akin to depleting already low alkalinity in the organism. It's a violent procedure ,immediate effect may afford some relief in short term but aftereffects could be serious. Refrain from drinking hot water any time in the day, it's violence to the body. None of the species drink hot water. Rest as per your understanding
