Hello Nithyasagayaraj,

Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease that causes stiffness in the lower back and hips, especially in the morning or after a period of inactivity.

Possible reasons for ankylosing spondylitis-

Some tips-

  • Do stretching daily.

  • Apply a hot pack on the affected areas to reduce pain.
  • You can apply a cold pack to reduce the inflammation.
  • Avoid being in a single posture for too long.

Diet

  • Start the day with 2, 3 glasses of warm water. This will help to flush out the toxins out of the body.
  • Eat only plant-based foods.
  • Eat overnight soaked raisins.
  • Include salads, sprouts, nuts, beans in your diet.
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid packaged and processed foods.

Dear Nithyasagayaraj,

Thanks for sharing your concern with us!

Ankylosing spondylitis is a kind of arthritis associated with inflammation of joints of the spine. It can indeed be a very painful condition! Let us try understanding the cause of this condition. As per Nature Cure, the human body works towards maintaining its pH or acid-alkaline balance. It functions optimally when the pH of the blood is slightly alkaline (around 7.36-7.42). However, wrong lifestyle choices like unnatural food, overwork without adequate rest, wrong thinking, stress, not taking in enough sunlight and fresh air and sedentary lifestyle etc. result in built-up of acidic residues. Body tries to restore the alkalinity of the blood by leaching calcium from bones. This results in weakening of bones and joints along with inflammation and pain. In fact, pain is the body's indication that something is out of sync and needs corrective action!

Please know that the body has self-healing powers and ability to reverse disease and painful conditions. As you start aligning your body to the laws of nature you would be surprised to see how your body starts responding by eliminating toxins and restoring balance. You can also explore ourNatural Health Coaching Program that can help her in making the transition, step by step.
