Hi! I am 55 years old woman. Having hyperpigmented skin on my face. How to get rid of this? What all foods to avoid? Pls suggest

Hello Nagaranjan,

Any problem of the skin is the reflection of internal abnormalities like improper absorption of food or disturbed metabolism. Weight gain results from the excess fat intake or improper metabolism of the body.

Diet to follow-

  • Drink 2 glasses of warm water with few drops of lemon in it in the morning as this will boost the metabolic activity of the body.
  • Have light meals so that the body can digest it easily. 
  • Have fresh juices of vegetables and fruits like bottle guard juice, orange juice. 
  • Cook oil free or use coconut oil. 
  • Eat whole grains like barley, millets,oats.
  • Drink coconut water. 
  • Have garlic with peanut butter.
  • Drink sufficient water during the day to eliminate the toxins out of your body. 

Foods to avoid-

  • Avoid refined oils.
  • Avoid refined grains.
  • Say no to tea and coffee. 
  • Avoid carbonated drinks. 
  • Avoid refined sugar.
  • Say no to processed foods and packaged foods. 
  • Avoid spicy, oily and deep fried food items. 
  • Avoid chocolates. 
  • Cut dairy products from your diet.
  • Avoid animal foods. 

Local application 

  • Mix 2 tablespoons besan and half tablespoon turmeric to it and Few drops of gulab jal to it and apply this paste on your face.
  • Keep it for 5min and then wash it with normal water.
  • Apply this paste on your face twice in a week. 

Exercise 

Exercising regularly is extremely important for a healthy body. Perform all the yoga and exercises in between the trees or in the park , in fresh air

  • Do suryanamaskar daily. 
  • Start your morning with 30min of walking or jogging. 
  • Perform anulom-vilom regularly. 
  • Do paschimottan asana, gomukha asana, trikona asana,chakra asana. 

Sleep 

A correct sleeping pattern and sleeping duration is very important for a healthy body and mind.

Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and get up early in the morning at around 6 am. 

Sleep for atleast 7-8hours regularly because lack of sleep also results in weight gain. 

Good quality sleep also helps to relieve stress.
