Hello Shashank,

Sinus tachycardia is a regular cardiac rhythm in which the heart beats faster than the normal and results in an increase in cardiac output. While it is common to have sinus tachycardia as a compensatory response to exercise or stress, it becomes concerning when it occurs at rest.

Causes of sinus tachycardia

  • Alcohol
  • Stress
  • Caffeine
  • Low blood pressure
  • Infection
  • Stimulants such as nicotine

What should be done?

  • Reduce caffeine intake.
  • Quit smoking and avoid other sources of nicotine
  • Exercise regularly
  • Drink sufficient water
  • Consume less sodium, it is better to consume less than 2,300 mg of sodium per day.
  • Drink coconut water.
  • Have almond milk.
  • Eat only plant based natural foods.

Thank you
