I have immense pain in the heel of both my feet. When I get up in the morning it's impossible for me to stand. It's only the heel. Then after five to ten minutes I can slowly put weight on it and walk. But that too have to limp specially the pain is more on the right heel. Please advise

Hello Priya,

Pain in heels may result due to obesity, ill-fitted shoes, jumping on hard surfaces, abnormal walking styles or any other disease. It may also result due to any bone injury or tissue injury or ligament injury.

If the cause of pain is any injury then X-ray is necessary before telling any treatment.
If it is not due to any injury then the following tips will help you.

  • Change your footwear and wear comfortable and soft footwear.
  • Walk in an appropriate manner and in a proper style.
  • If you are obese, then focus on losing weight.
  • Soak your feet in warm water (add a pinch of rock salt to it) for about 20 minutes twice a day.

Thank you
