Hypothyroid happens due to what we have been putting in our body, which is eating a tamasic diet (adulterated, rotten and unhealthy junk is considered as tamasic).In this case, when we load our body with this kind of food, our metabolism becomes sluggish, "hypo" thyroid happens. Here, our body starts pushing on more to reach an optimal level of functioning. Now as our boy already in a sluggish state, the immunity is weakened. Namaste, He need to change is life and diet style. Increase intake of fruits, salads and vegetables. Have more bitter vegetables like bitter gourd and the bitter variety of drumsticks. Avoid high carbohydrates like polished rice and potato. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. Take a tablespoon of honey daily with warm water. It is an excellent home remedy for weight loss. Thanks.

Here's my understanding about balsamic and white vinegar. Balsamic vinegar is basically made using grapes. Grape pressings are boiled and the thick syrup is then stored in wooden containers and allowed to ferment for years. White vinegar, on the other hand, is made using acetic acid and is hence very acidic. In that sense, balsamic vinegar is definitely a better choice than regular white vinegar. Balsamic vinergar is very strong and should be used in very little amount, possibly just to sprinkle over salads or dressings. It is also very expensive and one must make sure to buy the right quality of the same.

You can slice beetroot and steam them if you dont like them raw and make you sandwich with some cashew cream, spinach and beetroot slices. Add some fresh coriander too if you like the taste. Else, shred beetroot finely, mix it with some cooked potoates, shape into tikkis and roast them for your sandwich filling.

Hello Adit, Our mental health is equally important just as our physical health. Negative thoughts, unwanted thoughts, anxiety are all the indications about your bad mental health. Here are a few tips that will surely help you: Meditation Meditation is the ultimate key to achieving good mental health. Just like our physical health, our mental health is also equally important and meditation is the best to achieve the same. Give 20 to 25 minutes from your busy day for meditation. Practice it in sukhasana or padma asana and concentrate on your breathing. Daily meditating will surely lead to a healthy and happy mind. Diet Diet also has an impact on our mental health as our metabolism depends on the foods that we have which in turn affects the hormonal secretions. Drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice in it in the morning on an empty stomach. This will help to boost the metabolism at the start of the day. Have soaked raisins and other dry fruits to get the easily absorbable nutrients. Eat sprouts, nuts, beans and salads. Include Vitamin C in your diet like blueberries, amla, orange or lemon as they have antioxidant properties. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to eliminate the toxins out of the body and to be hydrated. Avoid dairy products and animal products as they are not meant for the human digestive system and hence it results in the accumulation of toxins in the body. Avoid processed, packaged and preserved foods as they have bad effects on our digestive system. Yoga Daily yoga is very effective for achieving a good balance between the mind, body and soul. Practice suryanamaskar daily. Do bhujanga asana, paschimottan asana, gomukha asana and padahasta asana. Do pranayam regularly for 15-20min, specially anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam. Take sunrays early in the morning. Sleep The quality and pattern of the sleep also determine the state of our mental health as it affects the circadian rhythm and in turn the hormonal balance. Sometimes, lack of proper also leads to mental illness. So, take proper sleep of at least 8 to 10 hours daily. Hi Doctor, I was diagnosed with jaundice 25 days ago, I recovered in 10 days. Then on I am trying to reduce weight. My current weight is 92 kgs and I m 5ft 10 inch tall. Ideal shld be 80 kgs.
