Hi, my daughter is 1 year 8 months old. She is breastfed while I am at home (while not at office). She drinks 1 small cup of cow milk in a day. She also eats ghee, butter. I am planning to wean her off cow milk and other dairy products. But me and my husband are bit skeptical about her overall nutrient intake if she is not given milk, ghee and butter. I am planning to make nut milks at home but I am not sure whether she will accept the new taste. She is on family food otherwise. Please guide us

Namaste A one year and 8 months old baby can easily be weaned away from cows milk and other dairy products. 1 Keep all her favourite foods handy. When ever she says she is hungry give her one of her favourite food so that she doesn’t think about milk. The fouvorite foods must be healthy food too. 2 you can slowly introduce her to nut milk. She will slowly start liking it. As for nutrients you may rest assured she is getting all the nutrients she needs as long as you are giving her all the seasonal fruits and vegetables. They should be the major part of her diet. You are doing a great job introducing your child to a healthy lifestyle at such a young age. Kudos to you. My right nostril gets congested at night when i go for sleep. Please help!
Dr. Khushbu Suthar

Hello Rp Singh, With the congestion of nostrils at night, the main reason behind it is sleeping in the supine position at night this makes the nostrils congested. In regular life, our immunity becomes weak due to inflammation happening in the body. Bad sleeping posture is the reason behind it. Here is something which you can try in order to have a good night sleep: 1. Take a soothing cup of ginger and honey tea. 2. Steam inhalation for 15-20 minutes. 3. Sleep in the left lateral position. For a long time well being of health you can follow these measures: Start your day with a vegetable juice, green leafy vegetables, carrot, cucumber, bottle gourd can be your choices. Sprouts are another thing which can be given as breakfast. After lunch two hours later you can give a cup of ginger honey tea. This can be helpful for the kid. Also, sprouts have a good amount of Vitamin C which will help in treating the immunity, sweet potatoes are another good source of vitamin C. Inducing legumes in the diet is also another good way of treating adenoid and nasal septum deviation. A Tulsi leaf has given with a glass of warm water, empty stomach in the morning will help in removing the toxins. Exercise: Now let us understand the exercise part: Deep breathing exercises like pranayama will be helpful in the treatment of the problem. Doing cat and cow pose from our yoga books helps in improving lung capacity and clear the respiratory tract from toxins. Take your little one for an early morning walk in the sun, which will help the kid in taking in the fresh air and the sun will activate the cells. Meditation: This is the right time to expose your kid towards meditation. Tell him to sit crossed leg on the floor and repeat, " I am healthy and happy" for 10 times, slowly with each breath. With this tell him to imagine himself to be healthy and to breathe freely. This exercise of visualization will surely help the kid, in a long way. Sleep: Sleep is the most important part, teach him the importance of early to bed and early to rise. Tell him how important it is to wake up during sunrise. If he is taking any gadget and using it, please avoid an or two before sleep. These things will surely help the kid with the problem. Thank you
Can someone tell me that if drinking coffee could affect my chances of conceiving?

Coffee per se will not deter your chances of conceiving.Having said that however, your terrain has to be “clean”in order to sustain life. Have lotsa fruits veggies cold pressed veggie juices nuts seed sprouts .Other than nutrition ,rest exercise sunlight deactivation are also important.Your mental health emotional health perception of life attitude all play a vital role .A cup of coffee here and there wont matter. By the way I conceived after 8 years of marriage.Did whatever everybody told me to do,ate what everyone told me to eat , followed all the “spiritual gurus advice “,used to get my ovulation monitered every month, was totally on bed rest from day one when I conceived twice which eventually ended in miscarriages, Dr Dang used to send his technicians home for my blood samples since I was on bed rest.Nothing worked.I was fed up of doctor shopping .... even went to Anirudh Malpani ... the famous infertility specialist( he was my college mate) Finally I was under Dr Soonawala’s ( from Mumbai )care. I used to meet him every month that he came to Delhi .... had umpteen check ups done .... results were all clear .... nothing wrong with either of us.Tocut a long story short finally when I did conceive I was in my third month climbing 900 steps of a famous temple in my 4 inch heels and not aware that I had conceived. POINT :Que Sera Sera .In retrospect what matters isjust be healthy & happy. Leave the rest in Almighty’shands. A cup coffee kuch nahi bigadega. All the best to you. Btw my kids are 22 & 17 today .Loads of love to them. Gratitude always 🙏

Hi Mansoor Kapadia, We can totally empathize with what you would be going through. It is our endeavor at Wellcure to guide people towards natural living and healing. Let us begin by understanding the Nature Cure perspective. Toxic overload is the basic root cause of all diseases. Due to insufficient elimination of toxins (via kidneys, skin & lungs) the body gets clogged and the toxins cause inflammation of tissues resulting in frequent cough, cold & fever. Fever is the body’s natural mechanism to fight germs & purify blood. Our body has an internal thermostat and the ability to heal. Fever is there when the temperature of the body is risen to handle the toxemia linked crisis. Here are some practices that will help you: 1. Fasting: Fasting is a sure way to speed up the elimination of toxins. It helps the body to rest and recover on a deeper level and allows the body to rest its digestive system while it works on cleansing and mending itself. Half-day fasting can be followed to give the body the much-needed digestive rest. One can break the fast at 1PM with fruits. Mainly the diet followed after that should include low-digestibility foods such as coconut water, lemon juice, or homemade fruit juice as needed, as well as fruits such as banana, apple, and pomegranate that are easier to digest. Avoiding animal-based sources, lentils, and grains is recommended because they are heavy to digest diets. 2. Sunbathing: Sun exposure boosts vitamin D production, which is essential for immune system function. Adequate vitamin D levels have been linked to a lower incidence of respiratory infections. It also relieves the symptoms of colds and coughs due to the natural warmth. 3. Wet Pack Therapy: A wet pack, also known as a cold compress, can be an efficient technique to reduce fever and relieve the discomfort associated with it. You can purchase it from here. OR, lay a damp cotton cloth on the individual’s forehead, neck, or other heated places and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. 4. Steaming: Steaming can be used to relieve congestion in the respiratory path. Adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to water and allowing the steam to enter the nose can provide comfort. We would recommend you to adopt a natural lifestyle. You can explore our Nature-Nurtures program that helps you in making the transition, step by step. Our Natural Health Coach will look into your daily routine in a comprehensive way and give you an action plan. She/he will guide you on the diet, sleep, exercise, stress to correct your existing routine & make it in line with Natural Laws. We wish you all the best for your good health!

Hi Monika, Thank you for sharing your query. It is important to understand that only local application does not work until your body is not cleansed from inside. You need to work on the root cause of it to get rid of the problem. Let us understand it from nature cure point of view. Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disorder that causes red, scaly patches on the skin or hair. It is important to understand that a healthy skin mirrors a healthy body. Normally the liver, lungs and kidneys handle the job of filtering and elimination of body wastes but when the system is congested with excess toxic load, the skin is called upon to handle waste elimination too. Here are some diet & lifestyle guidlines: 1. avoid dairy, non-veg, processed foods, excess intake of grains, refined oils, sugar and salt as these foods are hard to digest and cause problems in the elimination of digestive waste. 2. Add nourishing foods like raw vegetables, fruits, greens, nuts and seeds. 3. Sleep and rest are very important to recharge your body and heal. 4. Minimize the use of cosmetics and make your own cosmetics and toiletries at home with simple natural ingredients. 5. Have sunlight as it strengthens and tones the skin. 6. Give a break to your body by fasting once in a week. 7. Use a wet pack on your abdomen to improve digestion and elimination of toxins. Buy here. 8. apply aloe vera or coconut water on affected area. My 4 YEAR old is having fever reaching 101 to 102 degrees since last night. When we couldn't manage it at night, I ended up giving him crocin syrup. But since then I am feeling really bad about it and don't want to give him any medicine now. I m more worried about when temperature starts to soar. Can you please help me know how I should care for my child when down with high fever?

With my 3 year old, when he was little I would sometimes give him the medicine - but now the doses have been inversely proportional to my growth in wellness journey :) If you are giving medicine, know that you are giving it for your own comfort rather than his! If you are giving, give the full dose, and give without guilt . Know that the body has its own supreme intelligence, and while meds to interfere with internal thermostat, body will deal with it! Just to reiterate, all symptoms of body are, indicators to us that the body’s acid-alkaline balance is skewed. Cough, cold, fever are body’s wonderful mechanisms to discharge and reduce this acidic overload. The body creates fever as a mechanism to purify blood of the infection, so don’t fear it. During this time you should ensure you are able to support your child. This you can do by ensuring you allow your child to rest amply and increase his intake of raw foods. Make sure you are able to give complete rest to the digestive system through no cooked food. Upping the babies fruits, will help during this time. Fruits are best way to keep the raw high, kids usually fuss also less when eating fruits. You could do them in interesting smoothies and home made fruit juices. Feed him only when hungry, don’t’ force feed. Give him fruits every 2-3 hours. You can give him a some lemon-ginger-honey-haldi with tulsi. This can also be done when he has a cough - applying a warm potlee with ajwain in it to his chest or rubbing a little ginger juice with oil on the chest and back also helps. Add eucalyptus oil into his bath. Read this article on Fever https://www.kckidsdoc.com/kc-kids-doc/5-fabulous-fever-facts-fighting-fever-fobia-part-12

Hello Neelima, The reason for any kind of infection is the accumulation of toxins in our body. Accumulation of toxins results in the reaction of the body's immune system which leads to infection. Pus cells indicate a severe infection in the body. Urinary tract infection may result due to following reasons - Urinating in unhygienic conditions. Unclean undergarments. Not maintaining the cleanliness of genitals. Not drinking enough water. Controlling the urge to urinate. Diabetes is a lifestyle disorder and can be corrected in a natural way. In diabetes, our body is not able to break the sugar or use the sugar in a proper way. But, by making some changes in lifestyle and habits, it can be cured naturally. Some tips Take some neem leaves and boil them in water. Also, rotate fitkari (alum) in this water. Then, use it to wash the private area after urinating every time. Maintain personal hygiene. Whenever you have an urge to urinate, never try to control it. Diet Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach in the morning. This will help to flush the toxins out of the body. Eat sprouts, nuts, beans in your diet. Have salads, fresh fruits, and green leafy vegetables. Drink coconut water. Drink plenty of water during the day to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Avoid sugars and sugary foods. Avoid processed, packaged, preserved, oily and spicy foods. Avoid dairy products and animal foods as they are not good for the digestive system and may result in increased inflammation. Yoga and pranayam Yoga and pranayam are very effective for any kind of health issue. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do paschimottan asana, trikona asana, gomukha asana and padahasta asana. Practice pranayam regularly, specially anulom-vilom and bhastrika pranayam. Sleep Sleeping is equally important as our diet for a healthy body and mind. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Avoid using electronic gadgets at least 1 hour before sleeping to improve the quality of sleep. Thank you

Hello, as a family we go to the gym and are into weight training ourselves. As a female, I am not keen on bulking and my husband is more into getting his 6 pack. He has been into this since more than a year now. We did not really worry about proteins or any of those post and pre work out foods or drinks that certain gym trainers brainwash people into. For a few months, he was on Twice cooked meal and once fruit in the morning. The fruit is really full -600-700gms roughly. Drank a green juice before gym just for hydration and nothing else. Cooked is vegan whole food plant based and it was twice a day. Then 6-7 months was majorly on one grainless meal and one grains meal among those 2 cooked meals Then gym instructor was also influenced at my energy levels and his background on raw also was good. So he encouraged my husband to eat more raw for muscle building. So he switched to one raw and one cooked for lunch and dinner. He has now a 3 pack perhaps and he has shed a lot of weight and gained muscles over that. He lifts about a 100kg and all this is just raw plant power. No fancy proteins - not even pea proteins. We don’t worry so much about what he eats. He is just eating full on healthy raw foods. He also loves eating peanuts. So he snacks on them. That’s it. I am sure in a year more he will have a solid 6 pack to show off and this is not unnaturally developed by some protein that damages the kidney. It’s naturally developing and the body will learn to grow with the food. Hope this helps. The others have mentioned some healthy dos and donts which must be followed anyways, but focusing on high raw is a must. Nuts or seeds and other fats are not necessary for developing although it does not come in the way. Only raw helps - greens / veggies / fruits. It’s extremely imp that he gets a good rest in terms of sleep. Only sleep and raw will address his needs. Check this journey. My fitness journey fuelled by whole plant-based raw foods
My son is having dryness near his eyes area for a month now, we have tried application of coconut oil and even vaseline petroleum jelly but nothing seems to work, any advice on this?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
12:05 PM | 17-02-2020
Hello Sunita, Dryness near the eye area is highly controlled by the fact that our body is getting an adequate amount of essential fatty acids, which should not be the regular high fat diet with animal sources we take to consume in our body. The sources which are reliable and needed for the growth and prevention of any illness in your kid's health should be completely plant-based. Our body is constructed in a very simple way and that is how only a lighter diet can help us get rid of any illness. The area near the eye in any way sensitive hence we need to start with giving the right kind of food and some lifestyle changes, in order to help your son. Eat: Sources like walnuts, almonds are rich in giving the essential amount of fats which are needed, they are completely plant-based and will help in treating the symptom. The next thing is to start with usage of seeds like flax seeds, chia seeds and pumpkin seeds they help in providing good fats which are needed in the body to even store moisture of the skin. Make sure he is eating fruits and vegetables mostly raw in the form of salads, this will help in improving his overall health. Application of aloe vera gel, (naturally extracted) with coconut oil should be helpful, do a 5-10 minute massage on a daily basis you will see the difference. Exercise: Pranayam is very much important in detoxifying our breath. Make sure any form of exercise he does should be in the area which is having good sunlight. Sun will help the inactivation of cells and provide energy. Meditation: This is the right time to imbibe the power of positive thinking and the value of meditation in his life. Make sure 10 minutes before his sleep, he sits cross-legged "I am healthy and blessed" Tell him to repeat 21 times with each breath and imagine oneself to be healthy. This will help him in the long run. Sleep: A good 7-8 hours of sleep is essential in order to repair our body in a healthy manner. Make sure he is stress-free and gets his regular sleep on time. Hopefully, this will help you. Thank you

Hello Rexona, Hypothyroid happens due to what we have been putting in our body, which is eating a tamasic diet (adulterated, rotten and unhealthy junk is considered as tamasic). In this case, when we load our body with this kind of food, our metabolism becomes sluggish, "hypo" thyroid happens. Here, our body starts pushing on more to reach an optimal level of functioning. Even your high BP is related o as the body's blood circulation to all parts is not healthy. Now as our boy already in a sluggish state, the immunity is weakened. Our metabolism is surely going to become slow leading to low metabolism and difficulty in losing weight. The main thing to treat this multidimensional illness should be about everything, food, meditation, sleep, and exercise which amalgamate for good health and reach your optimal solution. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake for at least one month and refrain from something oil-based. One inch of ginger boiled in two cups of water with one tablespoon lemon, boil them for 5-10 minutes. Consume this mixture during evening time to accelerate metabolism. High selenium diet which is peanuts, almonds, mushroom, etc helps to increase the function of the thyroid. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practicing it early morning in an area that has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Cat and Cow pose helps in increasing the function of the thyroid gland. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it. But with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleeping with the help of music to stay positive. In a room take a bowl of water and add two-three drops of orange or lavender essential oil. This will help in soothing you and the aroma will relax you and keep you away from any kind of disease. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you.

Hello Mahender, High blood pressure and cholesterol makes are caused due to our blood vessels get constricted and the flow of blood is obstructed which causes pressure to increase, this is a long term effect of all the accumulation of toxins. The chronic diet of high fat and sedentary lifestyle is the cause of this. The new-age corporate glass building is a new hub of all the diseases to enter as with air conditions we lock our space with altered air supply rather than natural places that inhibit our healthy growth. Hi Monika, Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune skin disorder that causes red, scaly patches on the skin. It can also affect the nails and joints, causing symptoms like joint pain and stiffness. It is important to understand that a healthy skin mirrors a healthy body. Normally the liver, lungs and kidneys handle the job of filtering and elimination of body wastes. But when the system is congested with excess toxic load, the skin is called upon to handle waste elimination too. As the body throws out the wastes through the skin, we observe breakouts which are given different names like eczema, psoriasis, lupus, dermatitis, boils, acne etc., It also causes dull-looking skin with blotchy patches, warts, acne and boils to name a few. In reality, these are manifestations of eliminations happening through the skin due to excess toxic load in the body. Here are some diet & lifestyle guidlines: 1. Avoid dairy, non-veg, processed foods, excess intake of grains, refined oils, sugar and salt tire the body as these foods are hard to digest and cause problems in the elimination of digestive waste. 2. Add nourishing foods like raw vegetables and fruits. 3. Adequate proper exercise every day ensures good blood circulation so nutrients and wastes are managed properly within the body. 4. Sleep and rest are very important to recharge your body and heal. The body is in repair and recovery mode during sleep. 5. Minimize the use of cosmetics and make your own cosmetics and toiletries at home with simple natural ingredients. 6. Sunlight strengthens and tones the skin. The action of sunlight is necessary for the synthesis of the many chemicals needed for proper functioning. 7. Give a break to your body by fasting for a couple of days in a week or 15 days. 8. Use a wet pack on your stomach and abdomen to improve digestion and elimination of toxins.
