Whenever I go in sunlight (even mild) it hurts me in the eyes (even in an indirect view) and also causes headache. What could be a possible reason for this and how can I cure this problem?

Hello. First & foremost - We are a part of nature's creation, being outdoors is natural, being indoors is our artificial creation. Anything artificial takes away health from our health bank. Follow your instinct with the sun. Morning sun & winter sun is extremely soothing. Sun in harsh summers should be avoided, imagine if you were an animal. In summer afternoons, the animals sit in the shade & not in the sun. Our body speaks to us through signals. If exposing to sun gives you a headache, it means the body is not liking light because it wants to rest. Body knows how to rest only when there is no light, body rests without light, in darkness. Rest is not just physical & mental, but also digestive. Eating easy-to-digest natural foods gives you digestive rest. Hydrate yourself well with fruits, fruit juices & smoothies, soaked dry fruits, veggie juices, veggie salads, coconut water, lemon, etc. Reduce de-hydrating foods such as tea, white sugar, milk, non-veg, refined oil, packaged products like biscuits, namkeens, etc. As you do these changes, start sitting in the morning sun for a few minutes every day. Do deep breathing to send good oxygen to your head, close your eyes & visualise your head feeling cool. A little bit of effort, patience and faith from your side and you will start enjoying being in the sun. Sun is a healer, its a painkiller, a natural antibiotic - don't fear it & don't miss out on this natural doctor!! All the best.

First of all, congrats on deciding to detox. Can i ask what steps have you taken to detox ? Is this a lifestyle change / diet for sometime ? When you go healthy in whatever way you have chosen, your body eliminates the toxins you wanted to shed. However, how and when it will shed is not known to anyone. This is called the healing crisis period and you must expect all the unexpected issues including emotional outbursts at this time. The advice is to not think "medicinal" and supress that with herbal / any form of drinks. Instead continue the healthy lifestyle and let the body do its job. When we decide to detox, we must also decide to stop thinking "medicine" that relieves the discomfort. In the continual process of removing such discomforts, our bodies become abused and collect toxins. So we must get out of this mindset of stopping the elimination.
If I eat cucumber, I get terrible bloating. Yesterday I ate a capsicum salad, I got loosies. Why is it so? Should I avoid eating raw?

Anchalji Namaste ✔ First basic requirement to start Raw food is Clear Bowel System. ✔ During any new food dish or any new style of having food , initially we should take in small quantity and observe it till it digests well and Nourishes in the Body. ✔ To avoid Bloating If you can add some punjent taste in Cucumber , like Pudina or Tulsi or Black Pepper , it will give you Freshness and Desired Results. ✔ Having Raw food with Positive and Relaxed mind is required. So any Raw Food schedule , if you want to start ...you can start on Holidays. Thank you
My brother has cervical spondylitis. The pain is so acute that he has to take steroids. Can naturopathy be a cure? Anybody here aware about it?

I used to have regular and severe spondylitis for a long period of time, which then aggravated to vertigo. Once I made concrete changes to my lifestyle, this problem went away on its own. Your brother can do the following for immediate relief: 1) Before sleeping, apply ginger juice with coconut oil on the back of your neck, the elbows and the soles of your feet. This will dilate the area, create better blood flow and thereby faster healing. 2) Bathe twice a day. After apply coconut oil with rose water on your damp skin. Rinse off after. 3) 2-3 times a day, shut eye, stretch and breathe. 4) If in very bad shape, physiotherapy should be done For long term relief, only concrete changes in daily lifestyle is the key. Here are a few things he can do: Conserve energy by reducing digestion. Eat only two cooked meals a day. Have a full breakfast of fruits in morning. Eat as much as you can 2-3 times within a span of 3 hours. Have an early lunch and an early dinner. Each cooked meal to be eaten with a salad. Through the rest of the day, whenever you want to eat, nourish yourself with raw foods such as fruits, veg juices, nuts , sprouts snack etc. Daily activity and exercise is important. However for this, you will need to align your food first, this will allow body the space and energy to ‘feel’ like exercising. Till then Neck and Shoulder movements is suggested. Daily exposure to fresh sunlight/ day light and fresh air is important. Find your 30 minutes daily, and establish that nature connect.
