I m 55 years old female. I have pressed nerve in c2and c3. Always having pain in both arms near armpit. From both sides. Bt now a day whenever I want to sleep there is something wrong with my arms. Namaste Surinder Kaur Nerve compression happens due to three reasons - over use of that particular part of the body Under use of that particular part of the body Deposits of toxins and calcification in that particular part of the body. All these three reasons can result in lesser blood flow and lesser nutrition. What can you do to improve the blood flow? Start doing simple yoga postures which can slowly bring movement to that part. Don’t over do. If it’s painful, stop the asanas and rest and relax. Monitor the asanas everyday. Make note of the asanas and postures that don’t cause too much pain and keep repeating them. Avoid the postures that cause more pain. You are your own monitor. You will understand what’s working for you better. Get enough sun exposure every morning and evening. Get some grounding. Spend time gardening. Monitor your elimination. The bowel movement should be regular and the quantity eliminated should be more than what you consumed in a day. Namaste Chaya Please just rest and relax. when ever there is fever and pain the body is demanding for rest. So please go into rest mode. Rest at all three levels.Mental physical and physiological. Dont take any responsibility or stress on your self. Shut your mind up and just sleep. If you cany sleep all day just sit in the balcony or garden observe and absorb nature. but no mental activity. Dont talk much too to anyone. Physical rest is also the same as above. Do nothing and just rest. watch the pain in the ear internally and understand that theres some repair work happenning. Physiological rest would mean rest for the digestive system too. Dont eat any thing at all. Sip only water when ever thirsty. If you get too hungry and cant bear the hunger then any ripe seasonal fruit would be ok to eat especially citrus fruits. but mind you best is only water fast until the fever subsides. after that slowly break your fast with any citrus fruit. you should eat iron rich foid. like beetroot, pomegrate. eat light meals . stop eating heavy n starchy meals which takes more time to digest. stay hydrated. take good quality sleep .

Can someone guide me on coconut milk? When I use it in curries, it often separates. And for how long can it b kept? In fridge also it starts becoming sour after 24 hours or so.

Reason is simple that you are adding salt when flame is on. In any dish you put coconut milk please add coconut milk at the end. Let it warm for 2-3 minutes only and not cook for long as it changes coconut milk properties. then swith off the gas and then add salt. Other spices are ok to be added before.

Since your father is 57 years and degenerative changes start by mid forties. In some cases it might earlier too and also using air conditioners at home or office would also have an impact on bone health. To find out the exact cause you might go for bloodanalysis ( serum calcium and vit D ). Ways to manage at home level are 1) Try to eat calcium rich foods ( already been discussed in one of the earlier posts ) 2) Exposure to sun light atleast 30-40 mins in the early morning hours. 3) Try to do some basic exercises to loosen the joints.
