3 GOOD REASONS TO QUIT MILK & DAIRY
Despite so much scientific evidence and globally acknowledged changes there is hardly any awareness about consumption of milk. As a health coach I constantly face questions about milk. Many people get shocked when I ask them to give up dairy or at least stop daily consumption. One question comes persistently, “Our forefathers drank milk and led healthy lives. Then why should we give up drinking milk? Let's examine the Milk Question with more depth. 1. NATURE's DESIGN Milk serves a very important purpose in mammals (the species to which Humans belong). When the child is born it is not fully developed and cannot hunt or forage for its own food. It doesn't have the physiology or the digestive system to eat food. It needs 3 things: Nourishment (for survival and growth) Immunity (to adapt to the external environment and pathogens ) Brain development (for overall health) Milk is required

Are Germs Our Friends Or Enemies?
I am a mother of a two-year-old and am completely losing my head over whether I should get my little cherub vaccinated? The questions that keep me busy are whether I should believe “Big Pharma” and the medical advice passed on for ages that says vaccinations are a must for fighting against germs that cause disease in our bodies or take a more holistic view which posits that germs are not the cause of disease but an unhealthy internal ecosystem. I am also a seeker of answers to bigger issues related to disease- Are germs the sole cause of dangerous diseases or they have been given credit for too much? Or in short, are germs our real enemies? This is the reason why I decided to delve deep into the ‘germ' dogmas that require an urgent re-look. The Germ Theory Most of us have heard of the French biologist Louis Pasteur. He was the scientist who postulated that germs cause disease. He,in fact, came up with the Germ theory in the 1850s which is a simple st
Best Natural Foods For A Plant-based Diet
Nature has already provided foods intended to keep us in perfect health till our last breath. Undue processing of food like refining, adding artificial flavors, aromas or preservatives denatures the food and builds toxicity in the body, which is the starting of disease. But how do we know what is Natural Food? Natural foods are foods that nature has designed for us to eat, as per our body needs. They are best eaten as they exist in their natural state, i.e. as found in nature or with the minimum amount of human intervention in the form of processing. They are nutrition rich, easily absorbable by the body & help it to function at its optimum. Natural foods give us good health, they help us in staying illness-free. The more a food is processed or refined, the more it is likely to lose its nutrition in the refining process. Also, processed foods include artificial agents such as preservatives, chemicals, colour, stabilisers, aromas etc. Such foods leave a toxic residue in the bo

Is 4 hours sleep enough for us?
Nikita Mishra
03:46 PM | 27-04-2020
Hello User, Sleep is very essential for the body. The duration, quality and pattern of sleep greatly affects the health. During sleep, the cells of our body get repaired. Our body and mind feel relaxed and get relief from all the stress by having a good quality sleep. If a person takes sufficient sleep of 7-8 hours then, he/she will be able to perform all the work actively. Sleep also affects our circadian rhythm which in turn regulates the hormonal balance. A good and correct pattern of sleep leads to a proper hormonal balance and hence, a healthy body and mind. For a good health, 7-8 hours of sleep is required daily. Also, sleeping and waking up time should be fixed. Sleep also affects our immunity. A person having less sleep tends to get affected by infections like cold much easier than a person taking a proper sleep of 7-8 hours daily. Thank you.

In my father's mouth there is a hole on left side of the tongue and doctor's have asked to do biopsy. What can we do to treat it?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
08:24 PM | 10-04-2020
Hello Atul, With biopsy in the tongue, there are several reasons coming in picture ranging from oral cancer to metabolism disorder like amyloidosis, it would be great if you could share more about its symptoms and how it is affecting his diet and health in overall. Amyloidosis is caused due to inhibition of protein absorption which tends to produce difficulty in absorbing the nutrients. Cancer is caused due to multiplication of abnormal cells resulting in our body's immunity weakening in fighting the disease. In this case, a brief history of your father would be of great help, for us to help with guidelines. A biopsy is an investigating procedure and there is no harm in doing it, it can be a mild ulcer too, take care of your father's health and hopefully, he shall recover soon. Consulting our personal naturopath at the forum should be helpful in your case. Hopefully, this suggestion will help. Thank you.

How can i take care of personal hygiene?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
08:31 PM | 16-03-2020
Hello Rohan, Personal hygiene is very important but as we help you with mentioning about few points regarding personal hygiene, it is important to make sure that you follow a few steps with our internal and external hygiene. Hence, for taking the first step towards malabsorption and dealing with strengthening our immunity system, we are here to help you with the right steps to be taken for holistic care. Now let us understand what changes we can make: Personal Hygiene: To start with making sure that your body is completely dry, after bathing you pat dry the body. Any kind of germs and bacteria grows in the damp region. You can put one tablespoon of pink and unrefined salt, it helps in cleaning the skin by removing dead cells and help in preventing any kind of infection. Hand wash before any meal is helpful, wash your hands for 5 minutes at least. Brush your teeth twice a day, especially at night as it helps in keeping the mouth clean and avoiding the risk of cavities. Enter your house after washing your feet and hands, to keep the dirt stuck to it away from indoors. This will help you a lot in preventing any type of disease. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practicing it early morning in an area that has good sunlight will help. Suryanamaskar daily, 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is a great source of Vitamin D that is why walking in the sun and connecting with the sun also help in activating our cells and rejuvenates us for the whole day. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you Thank you
