Hi Minu,

It is important to understand that a healthy skin mirrors a healthy body. Normally the liver, lungs and kidneys handle the job of filtering and elimination of body wastes. But when the system is congested with excess toxic load, the skin is called upon to handle waste elimination too.

As the body throws out the wastes through the skin, we observe breakouts which are given different names like itchy skin, eczema, psoriasis, lupus, dermatitis, boils, acne etc., It also causes dull-looking skin with blotchy patches, warts, acne and boils to name a few. In reality, these are manifestations of eliminations happening through the skin due to excess toxic load in the body.

Here are some diet & lifestyle guidlines:

1. Dairy, non-veg, processed foods, excess intake of grains, refined oils, sugar and salt tire the body as these foods are hard to digest and cause problems in the elimination of digestive waste.

2. Add nourishing foods like raw vegetables and fruits.

3.  Adequate proper exercise every day ensures good blood circulation so nutrients and wastes are managed properly within the body.

4. Sleep and rest are very important to recharge your body and heal. The body is in repair and recovery mode during sleep.

5. Minimize the use of cosmetics and make your own cosmetics and toiletries at home with simple natural ingredients.

6. Sunlight strengthens and tones the skin. The action of sunlight is necessary for the synthesis of the many chemicals needed for proper functioning.

7. Give a break to your body by fasting for a couple of days in a week or 15 days.

8. Use a wet pack on your stomach and abdomen to improve digestion and elimination of toxins.
