What are ways to reduce anxiety and stress in my life?
Mehak
09:06 PM | 07-06-2019
Exercise is a great way to burn off anxious energy along with meditation. It can help to slow racing thoughts, making it easier to manage stress and anxiety. Also Time management plans works like some people feel anxious if they have too many commitments at once. These may involve family, work, and health-related activities. Having a plan in place for the next necessary action can help to keep this anxiety at bay. Herbal teas(exclusion of milk) also contribute towards dealing with stress and anxiety like chamomile tea Share your thoughts by either writing or having conversation with your family but don't pile up and don't forget to have excess food consumption to overcome it.
My 8 year old niece has Wheezing cough n nose filled with mucus but flume not coming from mouth? They are traveling next week to india, need some home remedies for cure.. Plz help TIA
Smitha Hemadri

Keep her on a high juice ( veg juices and fruit juices made at home fresh without any additives) diet ( juices for all morning and as needed and less of regular water ) and only fruits atleast until she reaches India. Put her off all cooked foods. If she is taking puffs for wheezing, except for the attacks don’t medicate her on any other symptom. This will ensure she is fine. It’s possible she might have some running nose by then, but she won’t have wheezing or phlegm that cannot be managed. It might sound too drastic, but given the time, this is the best method that works at short notice. Flushing her with fluids and fruits. No medicines of any sort whether it’s herbs or homeo of allopathy will help the way natural healing does. Secondly put her off animal products which is the root cause of all her issues. My own daughter healed like a charm. Animal products include diary products and anything containing slight traces of diary ( coming from any animal), meat , eggs etc. stop sugar completely and replacewith dates. Give her diluted lime water twice or thrice daily. Ask her to gargle with turmeric and salt for 5-6 times daily even if the symptoms are not there. This is a journey for your reading for a long term cure http://www.wellcure.com/health-journeys/52/healing-my-kids-skin-respiratory-issues-through-a-natural-plant-based-diet http://www.wellcure.com/health-journeys/58/my-daughter-s-liberation-from-asthma-through-natural-healing
Recently a friend of mine, who’s a diabetic told me about stevia as an alternate to sugar. What is stevia? Is it safe to use?
Pramod Pathak
05:33 PM | 17-05-2019
Stevia is a leaf extract from a South American plant with the same name. It comes in powdered form, granules and also as tablets. This is a good healthy substitute for a diabetic person during the initial period when making a lifestyle change. Specially when trying to avoid all forms of refined sugar. This is best to beat sweet cravings and use in drinks in place of refined sugar. Remember the healthy food by ORS - Original, Regional and Seasonal. Stevia is best if you are in North America and Olive oil if you are in a Mediterranean Country.
What is the best super-food?
Swati Dhariwal MA, ND,
03:21 PM | 08-05-2019
To me, there’s no better super food than the fresh air, sunlight, water enriched by the sunlight, earth and the sky. Every living being basically functions on energy and energy can be got purely from its original sources. That doesn’t mean that we don’t need food. We do need food which is full of life, that is, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts etc. The food doesn’t act on the body, the body acts on the food. The better your digestive system is the better it can digest, assimilate and absorb energy from whatever you have eaten. Every living being, plants and creature on this earth has all types of vitamins, minerals, etc in them in different ratios. But that doesn’t make it the right food for you. Eat anything and your body will take something out of it. But if you want super health then concentrate on a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Eat human-specific food. This will assist in overall improvements in your health. Be Healthy and Be Happy Always
What's your opinion about using plasticware in kitchen including tupperware plastics?
Shubhi Khurana
09:14 PM | 06-01-2019
All plastics are bad in the long run, there is no good or bad plastics. Most plastics contain BPA or Bisphenol A which has been used to make polycarbonate plastics since 1960s. Polycarbonate plastics are often used in containers that store food and beverages, water bottles, lunch boxes, air-tight containers and also all cheap take away containers. Other plastic things like breadbags, producebags, squeezable bottles as well as coated paper milk cartons and hot/cold beverage cups contain LDPE. The research and debate continues on all these and related safety but some research has shown that BPA can seep into food or beverages from containers that are made with BPA. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on the brain, behavior and prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children. It has been shown to have a role in increasing the chances of male and female infertility, cancer and other metabolic disorders. Additional research suggests a possible link between BPA and increased blood pressure as well. While LDPE is considered to be low-toxinplasticand doesnot contain BPA, itcanleach estrogenic chemicals, much like HDPE, hence advised to be use with caution. In fact there are studies on harmful effect of heating naturally or microwaving food in plastic containers because the plastic may break down over time and allow BPA to leach into foods. Also it is advised not to put plastic containers in the dishwater for the same reason. There are also studies relating to harmful effect of drinking water from plastic water bottles kept in cars for long or during summers. One can do the following to reduce exposure to all plastics. Use alternatives like glass, porcelain or stainless steel containers for hot foods and liquids instead of plastic containers. Try replacing storage containers in kitchen cabinets with glass and stainless steel and fridge with steel and clothes bags. DO NOT DRINK WATER from plastic bottles kept in cars for long especially during summers. Reduce ordering food from outside and try home cooked food instead. Basically avoid exposure to plastics as much as possible
I want to lose my weight!!
Swati Dhariwal MA, ND,
04:39 PM | 30-04-2019
Losing weight is a byproduct of a healthy lifestyle. You don’t need to aim on losing weight. Instead just incorporate healthy habits into your daily routine. 1 Go out in the fresh air and sun light. Either do yoga or play a sport. 2 Eat healthy. Whole foods. Living foods are the best like fresh fruits and vegetables. 3 Eat only if you are genuinely hungry. Don’t eat if you are craving a food for its taste alone. Don’t eat when you crave food in an emotionally disturbed state of mind. It’s better to just drink a glass of water in such situations and observe your self to see if you are truely hungry. 4 Don’t ever over eat. Even if it means that you may have to waste food. Don’t waste it. Try to decompose it for your garden or plants. 5 Stay well hydrated. As it will help the food in your body move easily. It will help in metabolism too. 6 Keep an eye on your bowel movements. Empty your bowels everyday, more than once if possible. The more you eliminate your body will function better. 7 Rest well. A decent amount of sleep at the right hours of the night is a must. Going to bed late and sleeping into the middle of the day disturbs the body’s rhythm. The bodily rhythm works best synchronisation with the sun. 8 Be happy. Make happiness your priority. No matter what. Happiness and peace of mind help our body to function at its best. Wish you all the best. And hope you enjoy great health and vigour soon.
I have blood pressure 160 by 100 how to get rid off
Swati Dhariwal MA, ND,
10:39 AM | 01-05-2019
If you are looking for a short cut to bring the blood pressure down ASAP then you may consider going on a three day holiday. Holiday from food, work and responsibilities. Go on a juice fast. Drink sugar-free fresh fruit or vegetable juices only when hungry. This is not a permanent solution. This is only a temporary solution to bring blood pressure down. To get a lifetime solution to your issue you have to change your lifestyle completely to a routine which would result in better health in the long run.

Skin is the largest organ in our body and is also the point of contact with the outside environment. Nature has equipped the skin with mechanisms to deal with the inside and outside changes. Inside, there are hormonal changes that alter the oil secretion in the glands of the skin (this happens primarily during puberty) and on the outside, there are factors like environmental pollution, dust etc that the skin has to constantly confront. The skin glands constantly produce an oily substance in order to lubricate the skin and it also helps to shed the debris/dead skin cells so that fresh cells can take their place. Sometimes the dead cells are not shed and block the skin pores. The pores may also get blocked by the outside dust and dirt. Such are the conditions conducive for the bad bacteria to grow and cause infection and inflammation. While the body is doing its job of regenerating new cells and clearing the skin of any debris, all we could do is support the body perform this function. Some steps that we could take – - Eat healthy – the body needs energy and material to perform its tasks. When we eat easy-to-digest foods (like fruits) we help the body to conserve its energy by reducing the digestive load. Also, foods like raw vegetables, nuts and seeds provide the essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs for any repair/maintenance work. - Sleep well – sleep is the time when the body does its maintenance work. As you sleep, the skin goes into repair mode and regenerates new cells. Therefore, 8 hours of sleep in complete darkness is of great help. - Avoid dairy, refined oil, refined sugar – refined foods contribute towards acidic environment inside the body. An acidic environment is best suited for germs/bacteria to thrive. - Externally, maintain a good skin hygiene to get rid of external dust and dirt.
How does one get rid of warts on the face n neck? Does apple cidar vinegar help? Any home remedies for the same? The dermatologist suggests laser treatment. Is that advisable?
Anchal Kapur
02:40 PM | 03-04-2019
Hi. When it comes to home remedies for warts, pls exercise caution, especially because you mentioned face. Don't do it on your own pls, best to consult a natural health doctor for the same. Laser treatment will help you get rid of the existing ones, it's a cosmetic procedure, not a natural one. As per natural living, I would encourage you to understand the reason behind warts & treat them from their root cause. This will ensure existing ones fall off on their own & new ones don't come. To put it very briefly - The 'why' - Warts are caused by a virus. The virus thrives in an acidic body environment. Read blog are germs our friends or enemies? to understand better. So if you restore the body's acid alkaline balance, the virus is unable to thrive, old warts fall off & new ones don't come. The 'how' - Follow a natural lifestyle comprising the following elements - Natural Foods - These are non animal based foods, so no dairy & non veg. Plant based foods including a lot of fruits & veggies, especially in their raw form, sprouts and some bit of nuts & seeds, grains, pulses, etc. The idea is to eat 'whole' foods, i.e. as close to their natural form as possible, so refined oil, white salt, white sugar are off & you can replace with healthier substitutes. Read blog on Natural Foods to know more. Sun - Spend atleast 15 min in early morning or evening sun. Sit with your eyes closed & feel the sun's positive energy fight off the warts. Deep breathe - You can combine this with the sunning time. Visualise good oxygen enter your warts & destroy them. Oxygen is a carrier of nutrients to various parts of the body, so body will get the right inputs for warding off the virus. Also the exhale during deep breathing eliminates toxins which created the acidic environment in body. Stay calm & happy - Negative emotions obstruct healing. Sleep well - When we say beauty sleep, it really means something. When you are asleep, skin cells repair & rejuvenate. So ensure you are sleeping very well. Warts are known to often go away on their own. I would suggest you follow the natural lifestyle and experience overall positive impact on your health. If you would like to consult someone to hand hold you through the process, I can put you in touch with someone, let me know. Take care pls.

Hi. Swine flu is on in Delhi. One of my friends has contracted it. What can she do to naturally get well?
PSYsolution by Kalyan
09:36 AM | 08-02-2019
Why pathogens attack? Pathogens are attracted towards the food. The termed attackers are attracted towards the toxins that are accumulated in the body. It is the EFFECT not the CAUSE of the disease. Swine Flu is another NAME OF SUCH EFFECT. The cause of this effect is the toxin within the individual’s body. When we conserve VITALITY* more and more, the toxin expulsion becomes extra and effective. When the CAUSE is removed, the EFFECT of X pathogen, in this case H1N1,also go away. The solution is REST. REST PHYSICALLY, REST PHYSIOLOGICALLY, REST PSYCHOLOGICALLY, as much as possible. This would lead to CONSCIOUS CONSISTENT CONSERVATION OF VITALITY*. Which would lead to reversal of the cause, naturally. CONSCIOUS CONSISTENT CONSERVATION OF VITALITY* is the only route towards holistic wellness. This can happen in the following adoptions. RIGHT INPUT HABITS - MORE TIME IN SUN, FRESH AIR, EATING A LOT OF RAW FRUITS AND VEGETABLE. BALANCED PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING QUALITY SLEEP, UNDERSTANDING OF SENSE OF SEX and STRESS-FREE MENTAL ENVIRONMENT. You may also check our recent article on the above* terminology, in case you are new to Nature Cure science. You may join next batch of PSYsolution’s course on NATURE & LIFE to strengthen your understanding about this science and philosophy. You can APPLY HERE. Thank you... Hi Friends! I am trying to make lifestyle changes bit by bit. Had a confusion regarding cookware. I have completely removed all aluminium cookware from my kitchen. But am not sure if anodized cookware (I am using Hawkins) is safe or not. Please suggest!
Anchal Kapur
07:56 PM | 11-01-2019
What I understand is that aluminium is bad because it leaches into the food kept / cooked in it. With anodized, it is said that very less aluminium leaches in only in small quantities. That's what the supporters / sellers of anodized cookware say. But when it comes to such things, I prefer to keep it simple. How do I know who's right & who's wrong? When it comes to stainless steel, there seem to be no conflicting views. No one says steel is bad. So I would recommend you switch to steel or earthen cookware for your kitchen. No plastic or aluminium or non stick etc.
What are the benefits of kesar for skin and how can I use it... Have some good quality kesar lying with me!

Kesar is very precious for Health and Wellness. When you make a facial massage mask you can add Kesar , chandan , milk and rose water. Apply on face with gentle massage and then leave for 10 to 15 minutes and then wash Face with Normal Tap Water. Kesar and Chandan should be rubbed on stone slowly slowly to take maximum benifits out of it. The best season Winter is coming soon to utilise Kesar for Health and Wellness. In other Season We should check that , to whom Kesar suits and to whom it may give extra Heat. When we add Kesar in Biryani or Pulav , it gives lots of hidden taste and when we start having such food , our hunger and stomach open up and also we starts eating food happily. It digests well and from inside also We absorb useful nourishment for Glowing Skin. Kesar balances recipe silently. Everyone always loves to have Kesar in their Shahi recipies.
Hi! My son (12 years) weighs 57 kg and his height is about 5ft. His doctor insists that he is overweight and must lose weight. Can someone share some simple and tested ways to lose weight?
Smitha Hemadri
10:46 PM | 12-12-2018
To add to Anchal and Swatantra, please add a physical fitness regime to his week / day. Kids needs to run and play a lot as opposed to the current days where kids are mostly on gadgets. Body was not designed for this. So please add swimming in the eveniongs after school if possible. If it can only be during weekends, then add 12 suryanamaskaras to his lifestyle under a trained teacher. After some warmups, some burpees / tabatas / Squats / anything fast that will make him sweat a lot has to be done on a daily basis. One major advice is to remove all animal foods from his diet and his lifestyle which are mostly going to put all his efforts in vain. Thanks and let me know if you had more questions around this.
Is sleeping in night with a light on a good idea? Does it interfere with our sleep?
Shweta Gupta
11:10 AM | 19-11-2018
Yes, complete darkness is very important during sleep. Infact more wired we are to gadgets, white lights, TVs etc the more difficulty the brain has in falling asleep quickly and deeply. Thus for optimum health it is advised that you should start winding down in the evening. Create ambient lighting at home. Create no TV zones, where you can spend some quality family time. Ideally the night meal and the time until sleep should be relaxing, no TV times. During sleep, if you want to keep some night lamp on for the child, do so but switch off as soon as they are asleep. Even during periods of illness, make sure you are resting enough and in darkness. Doing so will ensure your recovery is faster as body gets the right environment to repair and restore.
My daughter has recurring sinusitis. Am administering homoeopathic medicine and steam inhalation. Are there any other natural cures that I can give her as well?
Anchal Kapur
10:00 PM | 28-12-2018
Hi. Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinus caused by accumulation of toxic material. Body has an innate self healing mechanism, all you have to do is support your daughter's body in cleaning up these toxins. Toxins accumulate in an acidic body environment. You have to focus on increasing alkalinity in her body. Give her a diet rich in fruits, fruit juices and smoothies (only fruit based, no dairy), veggie salads, coconut water, lemon water. Give her veggie juices - Carrot spinach or carrot beetroot. Dairy, maida and white sugar are mucous forming and aggravate sinusitis. Completely eliminate these. Steaming is good. How often is she doing it? Try 3-4 times a day, add eucalyptus oil drops in water while steaming. You can also pour a few drops in pillow for inhalation while sleeping. Hope this helps. Take care dear. It might need a bit of effort and discipline to implement what I said, but we have to do it for our kids. They eat so much of processed food and live in polluted air, we have to make an extra effort to help their bodies regain their balance.
Hi I have low BP for last few weeks. Feeling tired and dizzy at times. What can one do?
Shubhi Khurana
07:51 PM | 29-12-2018
My MIL who is Colitis Patient and 80+ years of age, often gets into Low BP condition. Here, I am sharing few of the things we do to get her out of the situation (basis our research) with out medications. First of all, most important casue of low BP is faulty nutrition, from diet deficient in calories, proteins, any of Vit Bs and Vit C. It could be also happen due to loss of blood or haemmorrhage or slow bleeding in GI tract/ Kidneys or bladder. Even emotional problems, prolonged frustrations/ depression can lead to below normal BP. Exclusive fruit diets if possible or fresh fruit juices or smoothies made of orange/ pineapple/ grapes/ pear/ peach/ papaya ( 3-4 times a day) would help in recovery. Thereafter, a well balanced diet with seeds/ nuts and grains with emphasis on fresh fruits and raw vegetables help. Basically foods which help in restoring Protein/ Vit B ( esp Pantothenic acids) & Vit C levels. Pantothenic acid that is Vit B5 is found abundant inGrains (Wholegrain breads and cereals); Dairyproducts:milk, yogurt, andmilkproducts and Legumes: Lentils, split peas, and soybeans. Certain home remedies like Beetroot juice ( twice daily);intake of salty foods or 1/2 a teaspoon of salt in water daily till blood pressure reaches normal. Though not excessively but my MIL also felt better after taking stong cup of coffee if she felt really low on energy with low BP.
