Hi My 7 year old has bad tooth ache in his molars and has swelling. What to do?

Hellos pls note, tooth ache and cavities if any are sign that the body and mouth has higher acidic medium vs. alkaline. Our food breaks down in our mouth through the chewing process. Food break down leave an acidic residue in the mouth, thus its important that your child cleanses his mouth with water after every time he eats. Also overall pls increase his overall intake of alkalizing foods such as fruits and vegetables. Do reduce refined foods, packaged foods, maida, sugar, refined oils etc. instead replenish with more whole, natural food choices such as nuts, seeds, sprouts, whole beans and legumes and fresh fruits and veggies. Excessive consumption of dairy, non veg and grains also cause higher acidic build up. As a process our body has innate repair mechanism and in theory can reverse cavities too and heal the tooth from within. The blood supply and therefore the nutrient supply to the outer layers of our tooth is not direct. The process itself is very slow and effort-full for the body. But we must still focus on building the inner blocks through correct natural food choices to ensure better dental hygiene. Hope he gets pain relief soon!
Hi moms, my daughter has been coughing from last 15-20 days in mornings and at night. The doc says it’s because of the allergies and not due to cold. I believe in natural home remedies and usually give her nutmeg and liquorice powder with honey and it helped her in past. Since this cough and congestion is not due to cold am not giving her these now. Can anyone recommend tried and tested remedies or safe medicines for chest congestion and cough. Thanks

Through cough and colds, esp nagging ones, the body is demanding a lot of rest. So, focus on her rest. Since she will be having disturbed sleep at night, make sure she is able to nap in afternoon in dark or call it an earlier night for next 15 days. Wind down, have aroma baths for her in evening. Keep her in dim lights in evening before you sleep. Because only in rest mode will the body repair. If she has a bad coughing spell at 3-4 am, keep her hydrated through soaked raisins. If you can afford keep her off school and allow her to rest do so.

1. Oil pulling. 2. Deep breathing for 45 minutes daily. Three seconds inhalation and seven seconds exhalation. 3. Simple neck rotation exercise, preferably early morning. 4. Sun bathing 30 minutes daily. Cervical spondylitis is sign of nervous system signal congestion in neck region. Check why this increase of signals is taking place. Heart, lungs and face are the place where you got to look for toxins accumulation as all nerves from these region concentrate in cervical region of spinal cord.

Take a ripe banana, cut the ends. Put the whole banana with skin in a pan with two cups of water. Boil till the water reduces to one cup. Remove the banana, strain the water and drink before sleeping. Continue for 30 days, if sleep doesn't improve, please comment your experience.
Hi… I think I am gaining weight due to water retention. What should I do?

Relook at your salt intake (especially iodised, chemical salt). Salt entered our food systems, more for taste and offers no nutrition. In fact in terms of natural health, it is considered a foodless food. The manufacturing process and iodisation of salt has further complicated the various elements that enter our system along with salt. In today’s world, after sugar, this is a leading additive in every processed food item (as it works as a preservative & stabilizer) so much that even after reading the labels, it difficult to eliminate this. Salt is caustic to the sensitive inner tissues of the body & the cell structure hence water is retained within the body to neutralize its acidic effect. The body works furiously to eliminate the salt, but when is unable to do so deposits across body fluids. This actually artificially creates the signal of thirst too (Not sure if you getting that yet). Water retention thus can be construed as the presence of salt in the body which it is unable to flush out. Here is what you can do: What to eliminate: Processed packaged foods, outside meals, bottled sauces, pickles just about everything has a very high dose of salt – reduce them drastically (if not completely) Replace white salt at home with Sendha namak, and Himalayan pink salt. Reduce dairy, non-veg and grains intake – these heavy digesting foods hinder significantly with the process of elimination and make our body overwork.

I am 2 months pregnant. I have been getting headaches. I tried to link it to hunger and yes it is correlated to some extent. But at times i have eaten well or am not feeling hungry at all, still the headache starts. I know my body is going through many changes, but i hope headache is not because of low bp or some other issue? Besides, these days i get super fatigued in the afternoon and sleep crazily.

Pregnancy surely is a time of many changes and surprises! Your body is going through so many changes. During this, I believe we need to take good care and listen to our body. I hope you are making sure that your daily intake of nourishing foods i.e fruits, salads, nuts etc. is quite high. Along with healthy diet you must sleep well - at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep, in complete darkness. Also focus on breathing during this period. When you wake up in morning, inculcate a lot of deep breathing exercises. This should also help.
Can someone tell me if there's a problem in eating papaya during pregnancy? I love papaya, but have been told not to eat it.

There are many fruits which are recommended ‘not to be eaten’ during pregnancy like Pineapple, Tamarind, Papaya, Grapes etc. Common link is presence of high concentration of enzymes or chemicals in these fruits which can either lead to variations in important hormones or lead to uterine contractions which are not desirable during pregnancy. Papaya was strictly mentioned NO even by my Gynecologist. Some research at my end indicates that ripe Papaya is ok but raw or semi ripe Papaya has high concentrations of latex which can lead to uterine contractions. Remain safe and best thing is to avoid as it is matter of only few months!
My friend's 4 1/2 year old daughter doesn't want to drink milk. She gets a stomach ache after drinking milk. I understand we can give yogurt, cheese as substitutes for calcium. But would anyone know how much quantity to give. Is there some chart to understand how much quantity approximately of let's say yogurt or any other item with calcium be consumed to reach daily calcium requirement.
Asha Shivaram
05:33 PM | 20-12-2018
You don't need to have milk to meet calcium requirements. The fact that the child is getting stomah pain shows that she is not able to digest it well. In fact , 3 in 4 Indians cant digest milk products well. Give the child a varied diet of fruits, veggies and nuts and calcium requirement is autmatically taken care of. Greens, beans and nuts are high in calcium too.
Is it ok to have broccoli soup at night? Or will it make me gassy when I sleep?
Pramod Pathak
09:46 PM | 19-12-2018
If you have broccoli soup for seven days the trouble will vanish, it's toxin elimination which started due to broccoli which is causing these symptoms. We often attribute such beneficial changes to change of lifestyle and give up pre-maturely. Give all changes minimum 21 days for the body to make the natural change before making any conclusion.

Each cell of our body is connected to nervous system. When the nervous system doesn't get the necessary stimuli (all OK report) from a particular cell/part of the body, it initiates a motor stimuli for that cell or part of the body to shake/move it to get the stimuli. This motor stimuli is the cause of sudden shiver, sudden moment of limbs, unexplained shaking of fingers or joints. In your case it's the constant motor stimuli from brain to eyes for return call which is not happening. Do the following:- 1. Wash your face with cold water followed by warm water soaked towel press. 2. Avoid all stimulants like tea, coffee, aerated drinks, etc. 3. The main cause is inflammation, it could be anywhere in the upper body region. 4. Do oil pulling daily for next 30 days.
How to avoid laziness
Anchal Kapur
04:05 PM | 17-12-2018
Hi. I don't know if you asked this question in a fun way or seriously!! :-) But it's a very relevant query. Sharing from my personal experience - I used to feel lazy & low on energy for a very long while. Once I shifted to more of natural foods and reduced stress in my life, my energy levels zoomed. I was surprised!! Like you are now asking 'how to avoid laziness', once you experience these changes your question will be 'what to do with excess energy'? :-) The rationale is simple. When you eat easy-to-digest foods, the body spends less time on the 'digestion' function & hence more free energy is available. On the other hand, if you expend energy on taking stress or dealing with difficult to digest foods such as non-veg, junk, sugar, dairy, etc or if you sleep less, you feel tired & lazy.
Are there any plant based sources of vitamin b12?

06:35 PM | 14-12-2018
I am not sure if your questions is - Are there plant based sources of Vit B12 pills? - Can I get B12 from plants? For the answer to question 1, yes there are B12 pills available in the market which is from a plant based source. Unived.in sells these. Look for 1500mcg Methylcobalamin . For the second part of the question, B12 is not made by plants or animals. It is made from bacteria. Keep your gut healthy, soak in natural elements like sun, air, water, earth, organic foods etc to allow ood B12 generation by the body.

Dear all,Anyone has any inputs regarding typhoid? Hubby is detected with it and in bad shape. He had severe vomiting and fainting spells last week and this was diagnosed in the blood test.

02:40 PM | 03-09-2018
Hi. Your husband’s body seems to be acidic in nature, hence the typhoid. Germs need an acidic medium to grow and proliferate. Thus any illness (bacterial or viral) happens mainly cause our body acts as the host. We have higher toxicity due to multiple reasons such as processed foods, over consumption of dairy, grains and non veg, lack of ample fruits and veggies and raw in food, lack of proper rest and downtime to repair, lack of sunlight and fresh air, stress etc. You must focus on restoring the acid-alkaline balance of the body. Increase alkaline foods such as fruits and raw veggies. Reduce acidic foods such as grains, dairy, refined oil, refined salt, refined sugar and packaged foods. Increase his immunity by giving lemon-haldi-ginger-honey every 3-4 hours. Rest is extremely important and so is sunning.... good luck dear, hope he feels better soon
Hello. I am pregnant. I am experiencing day long nausea & loss of appetite. I'm concerned as i should be eating more rather than eating less!!

Keep your meal portions small. Incorporate a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Be sure to eat fruits alone, not mixed with other meal items. Also do know, that nature has designed procreation in such a way that, at this moment your baby will derive all the nourishment from your reserves. So the eating is to replenish your reserves. The nausea is a phase, and feel reassured that desire to eat will come back, which is when the baby needs real nourishment.
Why do I feel a dip in energy by 12 pm?
Mayuri Goswami
01:19 PM | 19-11-2018
If you are having a very heavy, grain based breakfast you are more than likely to feel dip in energy at around noon. Cause body requires good amount of energy to digest food. Switching to a heavy breakfast of fruits early morning, say 2-3 rounds and then having an early lunch around 12:30, made a lot of difference. In retrospect, I think this was also about adding more raw natural foods in my overall daily intake. I did good rounds of fruits in afternoon / early evening too and added ample raw salads with every meal. The principle that body needs less energy to digest food when it has raw foods, seemed to have worked in my case. This allowed me more energy to sleep better / earlier at night. So that I could add a regimen of daily activity. I notice, the days I have done my breathing, and Yoga stretches well, my energy levels during mid day is better. I do feel a lull after lunch esp if I have had a grain based meal. That time I take some 20 minutes time out to refresh (mostly I snooze putting some deep meditative music/ meditation video, yes in office too!)
Pls help me with a remedy for bad throat, have been taking ginger honey. But seems to be a mild remedy.

Make sure to avoid tea, coffee, fizzy or bottles drinks during this period (or even later!) They do add a lot of damage to sore throat. Instead focus on increasing fruits … a lot of it in your daily intake. This will avoid long term recurrence.
