Hello Nehal, The thyroid gland secretes hormones that help to maintain the brain, heart, muscles, etc. An overactive or underactive thyroid gland leads to thyroid disorders. an underactive thyroid gland results in hypothyroidism. It is a lifestyle-related disorder that occurs when we load our body with wrong foods like saturated fats, refined sugars, etc. It becomes difficult to cure the problem and lose weight if we continue to load our body with such wrong foods. So, it is essential to make some lifestyle changes and dietary changes. Diet to follow- Have a variety of fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Eat sprouts, salads, and dry fruits. Have pulses, nuts, and beans. Take antioxidant-rich foods like blueberries, amla, orange, or lemon. Drink plenty of water during the day, approximately 8 to 10 glasses of water to be hydrated. Diet to avoid- Avoid processed, packaged, and preserved foods. Avoid dairy products and animal foods as they are not meant for our human digestive system and lead to the accumulation of toxins in the body. Avoid tea and coffee. Avoid carbonated drinks. Exercise Exercising and yoga are very essential for good blood circulation in the body. Perform 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do pranayam regularly, specially anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam. Do plank for 5 minutes. Take sunrays daily in the morning as it will provide the body with Vitamin D which is essential for the good health of bones, teeth, and muscles. Sleep Sleeping pattern is very important for a good circadian rhythm which affects hormonal balance and hence the functioning of the whole body. Hence, it is very important to have proper sleep. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily. Thank you

Hello User, Any disease of our reproductive system is directly getting affected by the overall things happening in our bodies. In any case, the cure remains the same, which is a holistic cure in nature's way. With taking initiative for treating overall health you will surely reach a cure. Eat: Start the day with having two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out all the toxins from the body. Include vegetable juices in the breakfast which are light in nature. Consume food that is oil-free, avoid any kind of milk products, and packaged food items. Make sure you have two hours gap between your meals and sleep timing Start with food items like jaggery, dates, sprouts, green leafy vegetables which help in increasing iron content which will make the blood supply to the uterus healthy. Vitamin C addition helps in easy-iron absorption, for example adding lemon in dals. Include fruits like apples, papaya, bananas in the day to have a healthy GUT. Boil one inch of ginger in warm water and add honey with a half teaspoon of turmeric, this ginger turmeric tea should be consumed once a day, two hours after lunch, for controlling inflammation. Exercise: Sleep on back, raise one leg and start rotating in a circular motion for 5 times and place it back, repeat the same with another leg. This will elevate your uterine muscles. Squats are another exercise to improve uterine health. Do it 15-20 times at one time. Sit and take 10-15 long deep breaths from the abdomen, to release all the toxicity. Start with Suryanamaskar, 12 sets daily, and if your mother is a beginner start with 6 and slow postures with each breath. Take her for a brisk walk in the sun, the sun will help in increasing both blood and oxygen supply of the body. Meditation: While sleeping, take a bowl of water. Put two-three essential oil drops like lavender or orange and inhale it. It will help in calming nerves. Listen to music for 15 minutes by closing your eyes and deep breathing, this will help in treating stress. 15 minutes relaxation session is important before sleep. The power of visualization is very important, imagine your body uterus to be healthy and getting free from all types of toxicity. This will help you a lot. Pelvic massages are also very healthy in this case, massage with almond or coconut oil. Sleep: A sound sleep should be of 7-8 hours. Hello User, Hypothyroid happens due to what we have been putting in our body, which is eating a tamasic diet (adulterated, rotten and unhealthy junk is considered as tamasic). In this case, when we load our body with this kind of food, our metabolism becomes sluggish, "hypo" thyroid happens. Here, our body starts pushing on more to reach an optimal level of functioning. Now as our body already in a sluggish state, immunity is weakened. Our metabolism is surely going to become slow leading to low metabolism and difficulty in losing weight. The main thing to treat this multidimensional illness with your lactation should be about everything, food, meditation, sleep, and exercise which amalgamate for good health and reach your optimal solution. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake for at least one month and refrain from something oil-based. One inch of ginger boiled in two cups of water with one tablespoon lemon, boil them for 5-10 minutes. Consume this mixture during evening time to accelerate metabolism. High selenium diet which is peanuts, almonds, mushroom, etc helps to increase the function of the thyroid. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practicing it early morning in an area that has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Cat and Cow pose helps in increasing the function of the thyroid gland. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it. But with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleeping with the help of music to stay positive. In a room take a bowl of water and add two-three drops of orange or lavender essential oil. This will help in soothing you and the aroma will relax you and keep you away from any kind of disease. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you.

Hello Mann, Galactorrhea is a milky nipple discharge unrelated to the normal milk production of breastfeeding. Galactorrhea itself is not a disease, but it can be a sign of an underlying problem. It usually occurs in women even in those who never had children or after menopause. The main reason behind this is hormonal imbalances. Certain medications, some drugs and birth control pills may also lead to an imbalance of hormones and result in galactorrhea. It is very essential to follow a correct lifestyle along with the diet to maintain the circadian rhythm and in turn the hormonal balance. Here are some tips that will help to maintain the hormonal balances. Diet Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach. This will help to flush out the toxins from the body. Have fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables in your diet. Include salads, sprouts, nuts, and beans in your diet. Have a light, easy to digest breakfast like a bowl of sprouts and soaked raisins and other dry fruits. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices. Drink coconut water. Use cold-pressed oil in place of refined oils. Have whole grains like barley, millets, oats, etc. Exercise Regular exercise is also important for improved blood circulation and metabolism. Take a brisk morning walk of at least 30min. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar. Perform tada asana, trikona asana, vriksha asana, etc. Do pranayam regularly for 15-20min, specially anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam. Take sunrays early in the morning. Sleep Sleep is equally as important as our diet. It affects the circadian rhythm and in turn the hormonal balance. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Read books before sleeping to improve the quality of sleep. Thank you

Dr. Khushbu Suthar

Hello Panduranga, With nature, nothing becomes impossible, because nature has designed our body in harmony, in sync with nature. Insomnia is large, due to over-thinking. We generally think our mental issues are caused by the mind, but our food also has a special role to play in it. The kind of food we eat is the way we think. There are three types of food described in yoga that have an effect on the mind. Sattvic food, eat light, stay calm. Rajasik food is highly spiced making us overactive in everything and the mind feels uncertain. Tamasik food which makes our body lethargic. Negative thoughts are caused by stimulants such as tea, coffee, which give our body less sleep. By taking an initiative in a holistic way, you can overall help yourself. That is why, by taking a step towards holistic health, you can effectively treat yourself in nature's way. Eat: Start the day with two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out the toxins and improve the state of metabolism by increasing it. The next thing is the inclusion of vegetable juice in your breakfast as this will help in giving the right amount of energy for the day. Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night. Mineral-rich food sources like seeds for example in evening soak chia seeds in a glass of water for an hour, soak them and add one tablespoon of lemon juice. Consume it two hours after the meal, this will help in preventing insomnia. Take tomato with black pepper an hour before your meal to treat constipation. Fennel seeds after the meals help in aiding easy digestion. Exercise: Taking a brisk walk in the early morning sun rays helps in treating all the problems, as the sun helps in treating the mood and freshens us for the whole day, it stimulates our system and strengthens our immunity. An early morning walk is recommended. Suryanamaskar will help in treating the health issues and will help in dealing with all problems, 12 sets a day is recommendable. If you are a beginner start with 6 and increase it. Sukhasana, Balasana, Shavasana are very much helpful. Practice each pose for 5-10 seconds after the session of Suryanamaskar. Do under expert guidance. Practicing vajrasana after meals help in aiding digestion. Meditation: Stop using the gadget on hour before sleep, you can use a fragrant diffuser where you can use essential oils, and then with the smell itself, you will start feeling calm. Rosemary and lavender oil will be helpful. During the episode of anxiety, you can inhale it by putting two-three drops on a handkerchief. Take 10 long deep breaths, and allow your body to relax, any thought which comes, let it go do not resist. Say the affirmation, "I am healthy and happy" with each breath. This will help in curbing all your issues even in the long run. Hopefully, these suggestions will help. Thank you.

Dear health seeker Kshitija, let me assure you that the disease symptoms of cold and cough, can be reversed back to health quite easily, I too suffered from the same affliction at the age of 20yrs and I used to carry nasal drops in my pocket whole day long, and no medicine of allopathy, homoeopathy and Ayurveda could set it right. it was such a nightmare to me that made me highly depressed/distressed. But Divine nature cure came to me as a God sent opportunity and the affliction left me in quick little time the program followed was as under: 1. First of all, you will have to cut down on all stimulants like tea, coffee, cola, spicy, condiments , refined, processed, manufactured preserved, milk and its products, sweets, sugar. This alone will help you to the extent of 50% 2. Basking in the early morning sun for 30 minutes is another great help 3..Dry rub or friction bath for 10 minutes followed by cold water bath is very very effective and will also address the issue 4. Food habits....you will have to live mainly on fruits and vegetables raw and cooked to the extent of 80% rest 20%will comprise of some rice and chapati and coconuts 6. It is very important for the patients of cold and cough, to have strong lung power to expel out toxins lodged there, so go for a brisk walk for 3 to 4 kms every day alternately do some 100 to 200 skipping in oxygen-rich environment 7..Take a hot foot bath for 25 minutes before going to sleep, this will induce perspiration so very necessary to eliminate toxins, and also induce sound and refreshing sleep ere long all your issues will be over in a month or two Wishing you a speedy recovery V.S.Pawar...Member Indian Institute of natural therapeutics 1980

(Nature Cure Guide & Educator)

If you wear artificial dentures, please make a habit to remove them at night and clean up those in the morning before you wear them again. Follow them after every meal as well. Make a habit to drink plenty of water and gargle your well well from bed or after every meal. Make a habit to brush after every meal and floss, preferably twice daily. Make a habit to replace your toothbrushes every two to three months. Chewing a handful of cloves, fennel seeds, or aniseeds could be helpful. Their antiseptic qualities help fight halitosis-causing bacteria. Chewing a piece of lemon or orange rind for a mouth- freshening burst of flavor. Chewing a few leaves of parsley, basil, mint, or cilantro might help too. It is believed that the chlorophyll in these green plants has the property to neutralize the odours.

Hello, A person should never ignore the left-sided chest pain. If the person is experiencing pain on the left side of their body, this could indicate a heart attack or other medical conditions, such as a lung problem or inflammation of the lining around a person's heart. If the pain is coming from one particular place, it is not likely to be a heart attack. If the chest pain does not get worse when breathing and the pain spread between the shoulder blades, and into the arms and jaw, but it doesn't move from one side to other and along with this you experience dizziness, feeling faint, nausea, shortness of breath, sweating, etc, then you should go for MRI and consult a cardiologist. There are also many types of injuries to soft tissues and bones in the chest that causes left side chest pain. In this case, you will experience pain that usually worsens when breathing, swelling or tenderness at a specific area, visible bruising. Acid reflux and gastroesophageal disease (GERD) are also common causes of left-sided chest pain. These conditions occur when the acid from the stomach message up from the stomach to the oesophagus. In this condition, you will experience a sour taste in the mouth, a burning feeling in the chest, difficulty in swallowing. By making small changes in our lifestyle and eating habits, this problem can be resolved. Foods to eat Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water. This will help to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Eat one amla daily as it will help to keep your digestive system good. Drink green tea twice a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at night before sleeping. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices. Include salads, sprouts, nuts, and beans in your diet. Eat fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to be hydrated and to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Foods to avoid- Avoid carbonated drinks as they will increase the problem of acidity. Avoid dairy products and animal foods. Avoid tea and coffee. Avoid processed, packaged, oily, and spicy foods. Exercise Being physically active is very important for a well functioning digestive system. A sedentary lifestyle may also lead to acidity. Start the day with a short morning walk. Perform pranayam, specially anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam. Do tada asana, gomukha asana, trikona asana, padahasta asana. Take the early morning sun rays daily. Sleep Lack of sleep and stress may also lead to acidity. Hence, having proper sleep is important as it helps to reduce the stress levels also. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6 am. Thank you

You have not detailed your history, your lifestyle etc. but I am sure it’s not in order and that’s why youhave the issue. Your condition typically happens when the blood which is like water does not freely circulate and donits job of exchange of good and bad from all the stations it passes. Blood becomes thick like a jelly and things it carries also becomes heavy. What makes your blood so toxic ? It’s the greasy food, oils in the food, the animal products consumed ( diary eggs and meat ) and anything unnatural but tasty. Yes, not to forget the medicines and chemicals you take to suppress anything that you think is a discomfort. So all that makes your liver sluggish and bile will be really thin and ineffective to process the toxins from the blood. So why does this happen in the leg is because your heart pumps blood and poor heart cannot suck the jello like blood from the farthest part of the body like legs as heart is also weak . The best way to heal is to go on a complete plant based lifestyle with only raw foods like fruits veggies and greens till dinner and have an oilfree gluten free dinner. Stay on liquids like cucumber juice ashgourd juice tender coconut lime water any veg juice till 12. Then fruits and veggies as a full meal. Every weekend do a juice full day fast. Your blood will start thinning and become efficient and so will your clog also melt. Let us know if you have any questions.
I am suffering from esophagitis and having chest pain. Can you pls guide me?
Dr Sangeeth Somanadhap...

Esophagitis is any inflammation or irritation of the oesophagus. The oesophagus is the tube that sends food from your mouth to your stomach. Common causes include acid reflux, side effects of certain medications, and bacterial or viral infections. Reflux is when the stomach contents and acids back up into the oesophagus. This could be a real cause for your chest pain as there is an occurrence of reflex action in your GUT. Some of the common signs and symptoms of esophagitis include: difficult and/or painful swallowing, the feeling of food getting stuck while swallowing, heartburn, acid reflux, unpleasant taste in the mouth, sore throat, hoarseness, cough, mouth sores, nausea, vomiting, abdominal and chest pain and sometimes bad breadth Diet is often a key to reducing the symptoms of esophagitis. The GERD diet is aimed at reducing acid reflux, the main cause of esophagitis. Foods that soothe esophagitis symptoms to include: Eat low fat, high protein meals Eat smaller meals, more frequently Eat soft foods that are easily digested One should be aware of foods and drinks that aggravate esophagitis symptoms Avoid fatty foods Avoid spicy foods Avoid acidic foods and beverages such as citrus and tomatoes Avoid foods that may trigger or worsen heartburn including chocolates, mint, onions or garlic which could aggravate the condition Stop eating before you feel full Avoid coffee or tea (even decaffeinated), alcohol, and soda Naturopathic Treatment: This includes Hip bath, Cold compress to abdomen, Gatro-Hepatic pack, Mud application to abdomen etc
