Hello, Avoid spicy, oily and sour foods. Eat fresh, unprocessed food. Increase the use of herbs that have cooling effects on the body like fennel, coriander seeds, Indian gooseberry (amla) and aloe vera. Increase intake of water to about 8-10 glasses per day. Wash your face frequently with mild herbal soaps. Avoid irritant cosmetics. Do not squeeze the acne lesions, it spread more. Prepare a powdered mixture of coriander seeds, fennel, basil, turmeric and Indian gooseberry (amla) in equal parts. Take ½ teaspoon of this powder 15 minutes before lunch and dinner. Have 1 teaspoon of powdered Indian gooseberry fruit (amla) in morning and evening with water.
Will periods worsen the condition of anal fissure??
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
06:06 PM | 28-02-2020
Hello Shama, Yes, our menstrual cycle does have an effect on our rectal movements and but does it makes worse? No, it does not make worse because during our periods due to surge off hormones our rectal movements become smoother and there is less pain. Our body starts having indigestion which leads to fissures, with the type of food consumes like milk products, gluten, packaged chemical-based products, highly spiced food, smoking, alcohol. In order to lead a healthier lifestyle by taking measures in all the directions and reaching towards a healthy health growth, we can get our ideal health. A lighter diet will help in accelerating thyroid gland function and our body can be back in harmony. With a holistic way you can overall help yourself, that is why by taking a step towards holistic health you can effectively treat yourself in nature's way. Eat: Start the day with two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out the toxins and improve the state of metabolism by increasing it. The next thing is the inclusion of vegetable juice in your breakfast as this will help in giving the right amount of energy for the day. Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night. You can also choose to have vegetable juice in your breakfast, it is an easier way to absorb all the nutrients. Have fennel seeds after meals which will aid in digestion and prevent fissures. Take one tablespoon of coconut oil and add one tablespoon of naturally extracted aloe vera gel and apply on the rectal region at night. This will help in treating pain and fissure. Fill a tub with warm water and sit in it for 15-20 minutes, this will help in both relieving any cramps of the menstrual cycle and fissures. Exercise: Taking a brisk walk in the early morning sun rays helps in treating all the problems, as the sun helps in treating the mood and freshens us for the whole day, it stimulates our system and strengthens our immunity. Early morning walk is recommended. Vajrasana helps in digestion, practice it after every meal. This will even help in hastening the process of healing. Suryanamaskar will help in treating the health issues and will help in dealing with all problems, 12 sets a day is recommendable. If you are a beginner start with 6 and increase it. Meditation: Stop using the gadget on hour before sleep, you can use a fragrant diffuser where you can use essential oils and then with the smell itself you will start feeling calm. Rosemary and lavender oil will be helpful.Take 10 long deep breaths, and allow your body to relax, any thought which comes, let it go do not resist. Say the affirmation, "I am healthy and happy" with each breath. This will help in curbing all your issues even in the long run. Sleep: The sleep is a very important part of treating any mental symptom, a sleep cycle of 90 minutes should be completed in order to get a sound body. This sleep cycle should be repeated 5 times. This makes 7-8 hours of healthy sleep. This will make your body and mind strong and refreshing. Make sure your room is gadget-free an hour before sleep. Hopefully, these suggestions will help. Thank you.

Hello Sharadha, Regular consumption of fatty diet and highly spiced food, toxins are the primary cause of any health issue. What needs to be taken care of now is, that a major change in lifestyle and diet will have to be made to cure this problem. It is not only heartburn, with the consumption of this kind of food, what becomes an issue is from the esophagus to rectum everything gets disturbed. The toxins are in the body, call it acidity or infection they relate to the same cause. With a healthy change in the diet and your routine, we can deal with all the issues related to the problem of acid reflux and heartburn. What makes a major difference is by changing lifestyles, we are not only curing the disease at this stage but also preventing it. And also your kid will adopt a healthy lifestyle for a lifetime. Now let us understand what changes we can make: Eat: Start her day with something light in nature and easy to digest. Breakfast should be of the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. The early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water, it will help in flushing out all the toxins. The next thing is including a fiber-rich food item which helps in adding bulk to the stools, for example having apples, bananas, nuts, etc. which has a good amount of fiber in them. Seeds are a good source of vitamins, flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds are easily available. An evening with one tablespoon of chia seeds soaked in water with one tablespoon of lemon juice is a rich combination for vitamin absorption. Exercise: Sitting in the position of Vajraasana will help in the treatment of any digestive tract. After your meals practice, this pose for better digestion and easy stools. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes, helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is a great source of Vitamin D that is why walking in the sun and connecting with the sun also help in activating our cells and rejuvenate us for the whole day. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive. Tell your little one to sit crossed-legged on the floor, and say " I am healthy and happy" Repeat it with each breath and imagine oneself to be healthy this will help a lot in long run. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem, sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you Thank you

I have a lot of acidity and bloating issues for many years now.. I often take antacids for the same.. Give some tips to deal with this
Pramod Pathak
06:59 PM | 05-06-2019
Digestive Acids 1. Following four golden principles of drinking water is the key to all stomach issues and they are:- (a) Always drink water which is at body temperature, neither chill nor hot. (b) Always sit down before drinking water. (c) Always sip water like a bird, never gulp it down. (d) Drink water 40 minutes before meals and two hours after meals. No water during meals. 2. Always eat 50% of your meal as salad and raw vegetables. 3. Minimum five hours of gap between two meals. Ideal is to have only two meals a day. 4. Dinner two hours before you sleep, best is 7.30 PM. Taking antacids will worsen the problem in long run though momentarily they will provide relief.
Hi Friends! I am trying to make lifestyle changes bit by bit. Had a confusion regarding cookware. I have completely removed all aluminium cookware from my kitchen. But am not sure if anodized cookware (I am using Hawkins) is safe or not. Please suggest!
Anchal Kapur
07:56 PM | 11-01-2019
What I understand is that aluminium is bad because it leaches into the food kept / cooked in it. With anodized, it is said that very less aluminium leaches in only in small quantities. That's what the supporters / sellers of anodized cookware say. But when it comes to such things, I prefer to keep it simple. How do I know who's right & who's wrong? When it comes to stainless steel, there seem to be no conflicting views. No one says steel is bad. So I would recommend you switch to steel or earthen cookware for your kitchen. No plastic or aluminium or non stick etc.

Dr. Khushbu Suthar
05:53 PM | 30-01-2020
Definitely Akash we can help you with the suggestions. Going for a complete lifestyle change which is supported by diet and nutritious food is what we need in order to survive the problem you are dealing with. The best thing to start doing is to include a diet with a lot of green vegetables and fruits in your diet. For exercise, it is time to start with early morning brisk walk which helps you in connecting the nature and outside world. With morning nature connection it helps in treating the mental anxiety. Try developing a new hobby, this will help you in getting a new routine and something to look forward every day. The next best thing is to rely on essential oils, lavender, orange and rosemary are really good for health. Inhaling them during mental breakdown helps in soothing the nerves, two-three drops in a small bowl of water should be sufficient. Thank you

Our digestive system becomes very sensitive with age it depends on what your daily routine should be because only a healthy regime can help you. Get up early morning and have a early morning walk on grass this will help in improving your core health. Yoga poses like Bhujangasana and Cat cow poses will help in improving your gut health. The next thing you can do is have bottle guard and ginger juice as your breakfast meal which will provide enough energy for the day with sprouts and a fruit. Make sure you keep two hours gap between your meal and your sleep. Do not drink any liquid after 8 pm. Eat tomatoes with black pepper an hour before your meal it will improve digestion. Warm water helps in developing core strength and improves digestion. Thank you

Namaste, Consumption of pitta (fire) aggravating foods and foods of incompatible nature (virudh aahar) vitiates all the doshas, predominantly pitta dosha. Vitiated doshas produce heating toxins that are expelled upwards into the food pipe causing heartburn. Increased intake of tea or coffee, or oily, spicy, or fried foods aggravates pitta and leads to acidity. An aggressive nature and hyperactivity are also causal factors. Pitta is aggravated by late night work schedules, irregular eating patterns, and/or drinking alcoholic and carbonated beverages. Increased intake of painkillers and antibiotics also cause acidity and heartburn. Symptoms Chest pain Heartburn Pain while swallowing food Avoid tea, coffee, and carbonated or alcoholic beverages. Avoid processed and fermented foods. Avoid using garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, and vinegar in cooking. Also avoid rich gravies, sour, salty, and spicy foods. Curd should be strictly avoided. Take meals in a relaxed atmosphere at regular intervals. Practice Yoga and Pranayama such as Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, Salabhasana, Bhastrika Pranayama, Shitali Pranayama and Shitkari Pranayama.

How to lose my weight?

Hello Charmi, It is time to go light on your body and cut down any food item which is making your body sluggish, the tamasik diet makes our metabolisation slow and does not allow the correct nutrients to reach our body. The example of tamasik diet is cheese and other milk products, gluten, rotten food items, smoking, alcohol and what it is leading to is a sedentary lifestyle. It is time to make our body energetic and go light. With the following tips, you will not only get the desired weight but also a healthy body and glowing skin. Your body needs a lighter type of food to regain its natural process and that is how we can help you. By following a natural way we can definitely treat the cause. Eat: A good amount of water is needed in the body, 5-6 litres of water is at least needed in the body, the blood is there 5-6 litres so at least that much of water is needed in the body. These toxins which come and make our immunity vulnerable to diseases need to be flushed out to shed the extra kilos. Start the day with glasses of warm water, at least two. Have spinach and tomato juice in your breakfast with a bowl of sprouts with one teaspoon of turmeric and rock salt. It will accelerate the body's digestion. Your mid-meal around 11, should include one fruit that is rich in anti-oxidants and helps in increasing metabolisation like orange, mosumbi, berries, etc. Continue with one buckwheat flour roti with any oil-free vegetable. Have a glass of one apple and carrot juice with beetroot. After an hour you can munch on like 4 almonds and 3 dried apricots and 2 walnuts. This will give you healthy hair and skin with desired weight, In dinner continue with one soup bowl like tomato or mix vegetables. This will help you in detoxing, continue this diet for a month. Exercise: Let us start with dealing with the exercise part in a broader spectrum, exercising will not only help you in bringing back the comfort but also get a good amount of energy. 1. A brisk walk is something that you can do daily. 2. Do a run with a speed of 5-6 km in30-40 minutes in the morning and you can also choose swimming. These things will help in hastening the process of getting an ideal weight. 3. Suryanamaskar help in giving the body required stamina and strength, do 12 sets every morning. With the help of these guidelines, you will surely be able to work on you and your exercises will be fruitful. Meditation: Practice mindful meditation. Deal with your stress. Allow positivity to be part of your life. Doing a 15-minute exercise before sleep like deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind, you can use music also for relaxation. A calm mind will lead to a healthier body. A powerful method is of visualisation, imagine yourself while relaxing to have the desired body, feel the same, and see yourself with glowing skin, shinier hair and healthy body, this will not only help you in beating the stress but also have strong self-esteem. Sleep: Getting 7-8 hours of sleep is very essential for the body, during sleep our body repairs itself and rejuvenates us for the whole day. All the inflammatory process will be treated well once you feel healthy. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you
