Hi all! Am a little confused about the right way of consuming nuts. While nuts have great health benefits, what I have seen in my family is that nuts are primarily consumed in winters or soaked to eat in summers. Now, is it really advisable to consume nuts, without soaking in the scorching heat of Delhi?

Hi! I am suffering from irregular periods from last 1year. We are trying for conceive, is there any healthy diet plan that will be very useful to me?
Nikita Mishra
12:25 PM | 27-11-2020
Hello Laxmi, You are not able to conceive because of the irregularity in the menstrual cycle. Every month, the uterus is prepared for keeping the foetus and when the fertilization doesn't occur, the lining of the uterus which was thickened begins to come out as blood. Irregular menses means the uterus is not getting prepared properly. Irregularity in periods is a result of hormonal changes that are caused by our wrong eating habits and sedentary lifestyle. A wrong living style leads to accumulating toxins within the body which disturbs the functioning and hormonal balance. Possible reasons for irregular periods Stress. Incorrect sleeping pattern. Poor nutrition. Hormonal imbalance. Diet to take Start the day with 2-3 glasses of warm water. This will help to flush out the toxins out of the body. Eat only plant-based natural foods. Take overnight soaked raisins in the morning. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices like pomegranate juice, beetroot juice. This will provide the body with easily absorbable nutrients. Drink coconut water. Include green leafy vegetables, salads, sprouts to your diet. Foods to avoid Avoid processed foods and packaged foods. Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated drinks. Avoid dairy products as they are not meant for the human digestive system and hence facilitates the accumulation of toxins in the body. Avoid animal products. Avoid carbonated drinks. Physical activity Exercising is very important to improve the body's metabolism and blood circulation. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do bhujanga asana, trikona asana, vriksha asana, tada asana. Take a short morning walk of at least 30min daily. Take sunlight in the morning. Meditation and pranayam Meditation and Pranayam, both help to relieve stress. The vibrations that are generated during the pranayam heal many health issues along with relieving stress. So, practice meditation for 20 minutes daily. Perform bhramri pranayam, ujjayi pranayam. Sleep A correct sleep cycle is very important to maintain the circadian rhythm. Hence, take 7-8hours of sleep regularly. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Thank you
Hi, madam. I am Ravi, age 49, suffered from severe cough, cold, during Jan 2020. Consulted a lung specialist and got cured, and now after i have my meals phlegm comes out, even after having fruits, there is itching in the throat , feel better after having warm water. Please suggest a remedy, I have no other health issue like BP or Sugar.
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
01:11 PM | 01-05-2020
Hello Mr. Reddy, The reason we suffer from cold and phlegm production is due to our chronic high-fat diet which is getting influenced by the external environment. Instead of just local application or home remedy for cold why don't you take a step towards holistic measure which will not only deal with throat problems but also control further relapses? This is the reason it causes immunity to gets weaken and we suffer from immunity issues. Here are a few tips which will help you. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake and refrain from something which is oil-based. Have fruit salad in the afternoon time and vegetable salad as evening snack this will be light on your stomach. A diet rich in Vitamin C will help in dealing with skin problems by reducing all the acne. Sources like lemons, oranges, mosumbi will help in dealing with a throat problem. Talk one inch of ginger boiled in two cups of water and add 5-6 basil leaves, drink during evening time, this will relax your throat. One teaspoon of mulethi with one teaspoon of honey, take this paste thrice a day half an hour after your meal will heal your throat. Avoid dairy products as it is difficult to digest and causes adverse effects on the throat. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body, practicing it early morning in an area which has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes, helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is a great source of Vitamin D that is why walking in the Sun and connecting with the sun also help in activating our cells and rejuvenates us for the whole day. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep, by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you Thank you.
What is the standard BP and pulse of a healthy old man aged 72-73 years?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
07:51 PM | 09-04-2020
The way the World Health Organization has maintained the standard way of calculating the blood pressure, which is: Whatever is your age, + 100 For example: If your age is 72 then ideal standard Blood pressure with your age is 172 is considered as normal and diastolic around 100. Above it would be at high risk. Average blood pressure of a newborn is around 60/40. Blood pressure rises as we grow old. The pulse is measured in the range of 60-100 of all age groups. This is how you can get your standard blood pressure counted. Thank you.

How to keep your kidneys healthy after undergoing laser treatment for kidney stones?
Dr.Tokika
10:16 AM | 24-09-2019
Hi there, Kidney stones occur when minerals and salts, most commonly calcium oxalate, crystallize in the kidneys and create hard deposits .They are also called renal calculi or urolithiasis. Note ; Once you get a kidney stone, studies suggest you are up to 50% more likely to form another stone within 5–10 year. So it is very important to maintain a good kidney health and it's function by eating healthy and living a proper lifestyle . Following are the advice you can follow ; •Reduce or minimise the amount of daily sodium intake. A high-sodium diet can trigger kidney stones formation. •Getting too little calcium in your diet can cause oxalate levels to rise and cause kidney stones. To prevent this, make sure to take in an amount of calcium appropriate to your age.( obtain calcium from food source only). • Increase your daily fluid intake. Dehydration can worsen the kidney problems further. •Drink lemon juice daily. Lemons contain citrate, a compound that helps break down calcium deposits and slow their growth. Two 5-oz glasses, the first on an empty stomach first thing in the morning and another a few hours before dinner, may help break down smaller stones. •Wheatgrass juice can help to expel minerals and salts from the urinary tract, preventing them from crystalizing into kidney stones. • Eating too much animal protein, such as red meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood, boosts the level of uric acid and could lead to kidney stones. A high-protein diet also reduces levels of citrate, the chemical in urine that helps prevent stones from forming. Avoid these foods for better kidney health and it's functions. •Avoid other stone-forming foods such as chocolate, spinach, tea, and most nuts are rich in oxalate, colas are rich in phosphate, both of which can contribute to kidney stones. • Poor lifestyle habits plays a crucial role in altering the metabolic activities of the body. The changes or alteration in the body's metabolic and hormonal proportion can lead to stones formation in your kidneys. Alcohol, smoking and lack of physical activities or exercises can greatly affect your body physical.

Namaste Swatantra From what I gather from your routine, the only thing missing is any activity to strengthen your knee muscles. There are a couple of simple leg excercises which can strengthen the knee muscles. The best approach would be to learn yoga and practice asanas to strenghten the lower body. When you do any activity, take note of actions which trigger pain and take note of actions which make you feel better. incorporate the healing ones and do not repeat the hurting ones. slowly and steadily you will be able to heal your knees. Remember whenever in pain, rest is must. Hot and cold fomentation and cold compresses will help too. especially when you have pain. Be Happy Be Healthy Always Swati Dhariwal Nature Cure Practitioner

Because of pollution and enormous environmental changes acne has really being a headache for people from working sector as well as teenagers. Kindly suggest something natural for acne free and healthy skin.
Akansha Sharma
07:02 PM | 27-07-2019
Acne is the most common chronic skin disease. It is the inflammation of sebaceous glands and hair follicles usually on face, neck, chest and shoulders. It is closely related to endocrine disturbances in puberty. The skin covering whole body is an innate mechanism. It serves three important functions Protection Regulation of body temperature Elimination of waste products The skin is directly connected to working of whole system. All skin disease are outcome of malfunctioning of body as a whole. The treatment of acne by administration of ointment serves no purpose. This only suppress the sebaceous glands temporarily. In nature cure, the main emphasis is on diet and water treatments. Patient should consume fruits daily, citrus fruits should be avoided. A all-fruit diet is recommended for a few days to cleanse the system. Strict attention to diet is important for recovery. Starchy, protein and fatty foods should be avoided. Two vitamins namely, niacin and Vit A have been successfully used to treat acne. Vitamin therapy under the guidance of doctor is recommended. Also, take Vit E to prevent scarring from acne. Hot fomentation should be applied to open up pores and squeeze out waste matter. Than rinse with cold water. A hot Epsom bath twice a week will be highly beneficial in all forms of acne. Good luck :)

Cereals are tough on vitality conservation. Ideally we should never exceed 10% (consumable) of our meals with semi-concentrated foods including cereals. It means, altogether potato, legumes, grains including cereals etc. should not be more than 10% of our total meals of the day measured in consumable weight only after cooking/steaming. 85-90% of our meals should consist fruits and vegetable, primarily, in raw form to attain optimum vitality conservation. That 10% is, again, not dependent on the cereals primarily. Hence, you may choose to ignore the botheration about the types of cereals to attain better health state. There is not superfood exists. Even if you stop consuming cereals you will end up conserving more vitality* and a better health.. I am looking to replace refined oil with a healthier substitute. Can anyone help with options that works well for indian style cooking. Also, if anyone has used avocado oil before, would love to hear their feedback!
Asha Shivaram

Why substitute one bad thing for another. All packaged oils are circumspect. Use nuts and seeds for taste addition. So also herbs and fresh produce bring the real taste. I would advise not to waste time and money on any of these oils. Oil is a highly concentrated product no found in nature. Use sparingly for special occasions if it is a must.
I am 37 year old and slightly obese (82 kg at 5"9 height) and no other major health problem. Whenever I try to fast, after 3-4 hours some mild pain starts across my chest area and it keeps increasing till I don't eat something. It goes away completely after a meal. What can this pain be? Do I need to worry?

Hi healing crisis happens when we give the body some rest from digestion always. It tries to start a cleanup. It’s quite possible that the pains your experiencing is a healing crisis or detox . Don’t do a dry fast unless your body is ready for it. When we train the body to slowly go from grains to no grains to cooked legumes to cooked veggies to fruits to veg juices to water to dry.. by the time you get to this last stage .. u would have healed from everything and body will be naturally ready to fast. Don’t force fast without realising that body will do it’s intended job - to clean you in a rigourous way. So when you fasted and crisis happened and pain was experienced , you feared that the fasting gave you pain and you ate. You then felt the pain vanish. This is because you chose to divert the attention of the body to shift to digestion and not cleanup or fixing. This issue will come up in future .. but please learn the ways of working of the body before you attempt something because someone tells you it’s good to fast. Reach us if you have more questions
