Hi :) I took a hard fall last Tuesday and really hurt my kneecap on the asphalt. I did the best I could to clean it and applied my healing balm that normally takes pain away in less than a minute. Not on my knee though. It still hurts like crazy. Notice the most when I am wanting to sleep. Im not sure if the black part is from the asphalt or from dried blood. Too painful to clean anymore than I have. Any thoughts and remedies would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you.

I suffer from stomach aches after consuming chappatis. And even bloating. Is there any natural remedy for bloating

Nikita Mishra
11:16 AM | 12-01-2021
Hello Minal, Stomach ache after having food and bloating indicates that the digestive function is improper. The reason for improper digestive function may be wrong type of food, wrong timing of having food or lack of physical activity or a disturbed circadian rhythm. Whenever we eat something which is difficult to digest for our digestive system, it leads to problems like stomach ache, bloating, acidity, etc. If you are eating chapatis, make sure that they are made of whole grains and most importantly they are properly cooked. Like chapatis, pay attention to whatever you eat. The food that you consume should be plant based natural food. Here are some details. Diet to follow- Drink 3 to 4 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach in the morning. This will help to flush the toxins out of the body. Have Vitamin C rich foods like blueberries, orange, etc. Eat soaked raisins on an empty stomach in the morning. Have sprouts, nuts, beans, and salads. Eat fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Drink freshly prepared homemade fruit juices with fibers. This will add bulk to the stool and will aid in the movement of the stool. Drink plenty of water during the day. Have your dinner 3 to 4 hours before your sleeping time. Foods to avoid- Avoid dairy products and animal foods. Avoid processed, packaged, oily, and spicy foods. Avoid refined oils and refined grains. Avoid tea, coffee, and other caffeinated drinks. Avoid carbonated drinks. Exercise Start the day with a brisk morning walk of at least 30min. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily in the morning. Perform pranayam, specially anulom-vilom and bhastrika pranayam. Take sunrays early in the morning. Take short walks after every meal. Sleep A proper sleeping pattern is very important for a healthy digestive system. Hence, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Thank you

How To Buy The Best Fruits & Vegetables for Your Health
I began shopping for fruits and veggies for the house only a few years ago (till then managed by another family member). This was when I began my journey of Natural Living. Buying on my own became important as food was an important element of my health transformation. I had learnt that food is a key input to support the body's self-healing powers. From someone who was never interested in phal sabji shopping because it was a boring chore, to someone who now feels restless if she doesn't visit fruit veggie vendors for a while.....life has come a long way!! Over the last few years. based on my on-the-ground experience, I have made a few principles on how to approach shopping f&v - what to buy, what not to buy, how to simplify this choice and choose the best? I'm still learning and improvising, but through this blog, I would like to share what I have accomplished so far!! Sharing below my guiding principles to simplify shopping f&v. 1. Eat seaso

Is there a way to treat reoccurring Urethral stricture. Pls advise

Nikita Mishra
01:25 PM | 04-12-2020
Hello Kiran, Urethral stricture is a condition in the urethra in which the urethra's lumen narrows down, resulting in restricted urine flow. It mostly affects men but in rare cases, urethral stricture in female can also be seen. There are various causes for urethral stricture. Any kind of inflammation that happens in the urethra causes it to scar and that could often be a cause of the stricture. Most common causes of urethral stricture include tumours, trauma, infection, urethral instrumentation. How to prevent? Practising safe sex is a great way to prevent urethral stricture as STD is one of the common causes of urethral stricture. What to do for getting relief? Here are some tips which will be effective if followed daily. Drink plenty of fluids, mainly water. It stimulates the urge and frequency of urinating. Hence staying hydrated and consuming more of diuretics ensures that there is no overgrowth of infection-causing bacteria in the urethra. Cranberry juice will be helpful in clearing the inflammation in the urethra. It also restores the pH balance to normal and also helps in breaking any blockage in the urethra. Hence, you should have a cup of unsweetened cranberry juice every day to treat urethral stricture faster. Thank you
