To beat summer and humid weather follow below one; Eyes should be washed with clean water and wiped by clean towel to protect them from infections. Including immunity boosting foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and salads. Take easily digestible and light foods. Avoid watching Tv or Mobiles for longer period. Sleep on time. Weekly twice take oil head bath to reduce heat in the body. Seasame oil or coconut oil is the best. Use Mud pot for drinking water. As for sprouting them the process is just the same as other seeds, but the only difference is that these seeds will need 4 to 5 days to sprout completely. Method: 1 Soak about two table spoons of broccoli seeds in 300 ml of water for 24 hours. 2 Remove the excess water and add more fresh water to the seeds and rinse it out. 3 Place the seeds in a wet nut milk bad and let it hang near the sink. 4 Rinse and wet the seeds twice a day for next three days. 5 On day 4 the seeds would have started sprouting. 6 You May stop rinsing and wetting the seeds now. 7 The seeds are well sprouted by now. Yes, it is understandable since so many of us have the same problem. I would suggest the following - - Cultivate a garden and spend time tending to it with your family. It is the best teacher and relaxer - Bring nature into your home - Grow many indoor plants which not only cools your home but also makes your home more inviting - Choose to go for holidays to somewhere remote or to the countryside instead of the normal busy, tourist attractions - Go hug a tree or sit down on your lawn and read your book - Step onto your terrace or balcony in the early morning or late evening and watch the birds going home, see the greeery around, breathe in the fresh quality of air at these times - Switch off your TVs, phones etc and listen to the sounds of nature - the sounds of brds, insects, rustling of leaves. the sound of water etc - Sketch the changing colours of seasons in your sketchbook as you view it - Make collections of different things you notice in every season - ex: fallen leaves in autumn, seeds of various flowers - Enjoy getting drenched in rains with your child and the fresh smells the first rain brings or just watch the rain through your window - Adopt a dog so that you are forced to go out :) In short, enjoy nature with all your senses. Namaste From my experience from childhood even during the days when my father was practising, I have noticed that there are two major challenges that people face to change over to a nature based lifestyle. 1 Food is the biggest challenge. With so much variety and spices in Indian food, it becomes very tough to over come the attachment to cooked three or more meals a day. Raw seems to be a big challenge. It is one of the worst addictions and the toughest one at that to over come, as we have been brought up since our birth that way and for generations and generations. There is so much emotional attachment that I think it is the top most challenge. 2 Second most important factor is time. People are so much used to getting instant symptomatic relief by other pathies that they find it difficult to spend time for getting a proper cleansing and healing to happen. Namaste If you are having stomach aches it means it is not happy with what ever you are consuming. What ever the type of diet and what ever the purpose of your diet may be - the food that is best for your body has to be food which is full of life. The least it is processed the more the body will be happy to receive it. Why do we eat? It is basically to provide ourselves of energy. And we also get energy through other sources too which are equally important for our day to day well-being. The other sources of energy are the sun, fresh air, water through fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, and grounding. So see to it that you get enough exposure to all these sources too. The ideal food for our body would be fresh, seasonal, locally grown fruits and vegetables,. Grains and nuts too in a smaller quantity. The body is happy to start its first meal of the day as late in the morning as possible after it has finished its daily cleansing process. And the first meal would be any seasonal sweet juicy fruit. The minute you have it your body will feel happy and hydrated. Just listen to your body. See how it feels after each meal or food you have consumed. You may have your last meal before sunset and that could be a large bowl of salad with lots of vegetables, greens and some sprouts. This way your body will have ample time to process all that you have consumed and assimilate it and remove the waste too in time. As for the whey protein ... it is man made not god made. And it is devoid of life. So it is not ideal for human consumption. Nature has provided us with all that we need in beautiful and colourful packages in forms of fruits and vegetables. They are well equipped to provide you with all the necessary nutrients your body will need. Just a small test to see what is human specific food- keep a bowl of whey protein in front of you.
