I have been on fruits & vegetables for the last 1 month plus. Presently there is extreme cold temperature touching 1 ° C or so. So taking salads consisting of beetroot , Radish , Carrot etc I feel I am catching cold or cough. Seeking your advice.

Since you have been on fruits & vegetables for the last month or so only......you have given the right inputs your body needed for cleansing the toxins.....cold or cough is one way in which the body does so, cold cough is body's cleansing mechanism, don't treat it as being sick. In extreme winters, our basic instinct is to have warm foods. So increase your veggie soup intake, keep it nutritious - steam the veggies instead of pressure cooking as excessive heat/pressure destroys the enzymes in veggies. Als,o add soaked nuts to your soup, they will make it creamy. Use all seasonal veggies - carrot, spinach, beetroot, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, etc. Luckily the winter sun is good till now in Delhi. Have your morning fruits or noon veggie juice or salad sitting in the sun. Keep the 2nd half of the day for non-raw food. I'm assuming you are not using refrigerated f&v. get them to room temperature before having. With veggie salads, i often slightly heat them before eating.....just to remove the outer coldness. Heat for 1 min or so. Make a herbal tea for yourself, keep it in a flask & keep sipping through the day - cinnamon, elaichi, adrak, tulsi, saunf, cloves, black pepper. F&V are natural foods, as long as you eat fresh, local, seasonal, fully ripe......there is no reason to be scared of them. Enjoy!!

Hi. I don't know if you asked this question in a fun way or seriously!! :-) But it's a very relevant query. Sharing from my personal experience - I used to feel lazy & low on energy for a very long while. Once I shifted to more of natural foods and reduced stress in my life, my energy levels zoomed. I was surprised!! Like you are now asking 'how to avoid laziness', once you experience these changes your question will be 'what to do with excess energy'? :-) The rationale is simple. When you eat easy-to-digest foods, the body spends less time on the 'digestion' function & hence more free energy is available. On the other hand, if you expend energy on taking stress or dealing with difficult to digest foods such as non-veg, junk, sugar, dairy, etc or if you sleep less, you feel tired & lazy.

You can go for a peanut chutney. Its a very versatile dip. Just put together peanuts, jaggery, chilly flakes and soaked imli. You could add even green chillies to get that spicy dip u looking for. Or if running short of time, just simply do 1 onion+1 tomato + 1 to 2 green chillies. Fresh and yummy. Goes well with chilla.

The main causes of insomnia are due to poor sleep hygiene, sleep habits, stress disorders, chronic illness, sedentary lifestyle habits and excessive use of medications. In order to maintain a healthy sleep, a better lifestyle habit is very important which includes eating healthy food, regular physical activity and maintaining sleep hygiene. Taking sleeping pills doesn't necessarily guarantee that you'll get a good sleep, with time, the same dosage of pills won't be as effective as it was on the initial stage and you'll ultimately end up with even more dose. Instead, try to correct some of the basic lifestyle, food habits and sleep hygiene which can have more efficient impact on your sleep. • Consume more plant-based diet such as fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds and nuts. Enrich yourself with plenty of fluids and remain hydrated throughout the day. • Avoid overeating as it can cause discomfort and disturb your sleep. Eat: Start the day with two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out the toxins and improve the state of metabolism by increasing it. The next thing is the inclusion of vegetable juice in your breakfast as this will help in giving the right amount of energy for the day. Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night. You can also choose to have vegetable juice in your breakfast, it is an easier way to absorb all the nutrients. In any case, the cure remains the same, which is a holistic cure in nature's way. With taking initiative for treating overall health you will surely reach a cure. Eat: Start the day with having two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out all the toxins from the body. Include vegetable juices in the breakfast which are light in nature. Consume food that is oil-free, avoid any kind of milk products, and packaged food items. Foods to eat- Start the day with 3 to 4 glasses of warm water early in the morning on an empty stomach. This will help to eliminate the toxins out of the body. Drink green tea twice a day, one in the morning on an empty stomach and the other at night before sleeping. Eat soaked dry fruits and sprouts in the breakfast to get easily absorbable nutrients. Eat fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. Include salads, nuts, and beans in your diet. Have whole grains like barley, millets, oats, etc. Use cold-pressed oil to cook instead of refined oils. Local application Mix amla powder with warm water. Keep it for around 2 hours. Then, apply it on your hairs and leave it for half an hour and then wash your hairs. Don't use any chemical-based products on your hair. Apply fresh aloe vera gel on your hairs. Protect your hair from dust, smoke, etc. Sleep A correct sleeping pattern is important for the circadian rhythm. It also helps to reduce stress. Hence, taking a proper quality of sleep is very important. Take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Eat: Start with food items like jaggery, dates, sprouts, green leafy vegetables which help in increasing iron content as well as regularise our menstrual cycle. Dear health seeker Lovely, Notwithstanding hereditary and genetic issues, you can put on healthy tissues, provided you follow the tenets of Natural laws governing our organism. I am afraid you might lose one or two kilos of weight initially following the natural treatment which will comprise of shedding the toxins laid down in your system not allowing the body's capacity to work at the optimum. 1. For 2 to 3 days subsist on either on fruit juices or fruit diet. 2.
