Hi, my daughter is 1 year 8 months old. She is breastfed while I am at home (while not at office). She drinks 1 small cup of cow milk in a day. She also eats ghee, butter. I am planning to wean her off cow milk and other dairy products. But me and my husband are bit skeptical about her overall nutrient intake if she is not given milk, ghee and butter. I am planning to make nut milks at home but I am not sure whether she will accept the new taste. She is on family food otherwise. Please guide us

Namaste A one year and 8 months old baby can easily be weaned away from cows milk and other dairy products. 1 Keep all her favourite foods handy. When ever she says she is hungry give her one of her favourite food so that she doesn’t think about milk. The fouvorite foods must be healthy food too. 2 you can slowly introduce her to nut milk. She will slowly start liking it. As for nutrients you may rest assured she is getting all the nutrients she needs as long as you are giving her all the seasonal fruits and vegetables. They should be the major part of her diet. You are doing a great job introducing your child to a healthy lifestyle at such a young age. Kudos to you. Be happy be healthy always Swati Dhariwal Nature cure practitioner Kayakalp

How to cure from long cough
Anchal Kapur
03:47 PM | 02-07-2019
Hi Ashwini. As per Natural Living, long cough reflects an imbalance in the body, i.e accumulation of waste material. Body has self healing powers. You just need to support it with the right inputs, i.e. naturally. For short term relief, have ginger tea or any herbal tea that soothes your throat. You can get ideas from the recipes section - see here. If you get a cough attack, keep sipping on some water or put a small cinnamon stick in your mouth & keep sucking. Rub warm mustard oil on your throat. The above may help you temporarily. You must make a shift in your long term lifestyle because long cough means toxin overload. For starters, shift to a fruits-only regime from the time you wake up till noon. No restriction on quantity, eat as much as hunger demands. Eat seasonal, fresh, local fruits. Eat as is or make fruit smoothies (dairy free, sugar free) or juices at home.....Coconut water, nimboo paani, vegetable juices should be easy for you to add to your diet. Eat a raw veggie salad with your lunch & dinner. Eat only if you feel hungry. Else let the body focus on cleaning up. Avoid foods generally known as unhealthy - i.e. packaged foods, outside foods, oily, fried foods, sweets, etc. They all add to the toxic overload whereas right now you need to reduce it. Sleep well, sit in sun early morning, deep breathe, ensure movement / exercise. Small steps......give your body a chance & see the magic of body healing itself :-). All the best.

What can be the possible reasons of brittleness of nails, how to overcome the problem.?
Mohan M
03:44 PM | 03-07-2019
Hello Mehak Ji, Brittleness in the nail may be caused by trauma, such as repeated wetting and drying, repeated exposure to detergents and water, or some time using of nail polish remover which cause such side affects too. To overcome this, use vegetable oil like coconut oil and bursh it on affected part during bed tine and wear glouse. Morning wash it. Try to avoid soaking hands too much in water and detergents. Thanks.

My hands remain very dry during the change in the weather. Often it leads to pealing of skin. What is the reason behind this and how can I overcome it
Mehak
03:00 PM | 01-06-2019
Dryness and pealing of the skin mainly occurs due to the change in season, due to environmental irritants and some medical conditions however these could be prevented by few methods like application of aloe vera and also that of cucumber, Eating papaya also helps as it contains an enzyme papain which promotes skin renewal and cell turnover. Keep yourself hydrated as lower amount of water and moisture can trigger this problem. Moisturizing from inside out is very important one should eat Vitamin E rich foods like Nuts, seeds, spinach also Vitamin A rich too like Carrots, sweet potato, apricots and last but not the least zinc like pumpkin seeds and other
Any natural way to remove wrinkles?
Asha Shivaram
08:19 PM | 29-06-2019
Wrinkles are caused due to excess heating and dehydrating foods in the diet primarily - like grains, dairy, meat, salt, sugar, processed foods etc. These reduce the elasticity of the skin causing wrinkles. Have more raw foods instead particularly juicy fruits Reduce stress Make sure you get your 8 hours of beauty sleep everyday Less frowning and try finding simple joys in everyday life
I have my mom who is 74 years old, 112 kgs. She xant move for her weight nd bad knees. She s diabetic and on insulin. Can u help her to lose weight?
Asha Shivaram
09:22 AM | 03-07-2019
You haven't written much about her food habits. In any case, all conditions are related and they all arise from the same issue. i.e accumulation of toxins in the body due to many years on the wrong lifestyle. Rest assured, once she syncs her lifestyle with nature's laws, she will see great improvement. Whatever be our age, nature has given us all to be in perfect condition. It just needs some discipline and patience. I would suggest these things in the beginning - Quit all animal products like dairy (yoghurt, milk, ghee, chaas, butter etc), non veg, eggs and fish. Contrary to popular opinion, these are complex foods and cause inflammation in the body. Her bad knees are one sign of it. You can find many dairy replacement recipes (like peanut curd, nut milks etc) in the recipe section of this website and also online. Keep trying till you find the recipes you like. Implement the reduction gradually. - Keep off all refined products like sugar, salt (at least switch to sea salt, pink or black salt), maida, white rice etc - Increase raw component in food - i.e switch to only seasonal fruits till afternoon, Add a salad with lunch and dinner. Grains should not be more than 30% of your plate. I would also advise to keep off wheat and switch to millets or starchy veggies like sweet potato, yams etc - Refined oil is full of toxins. It almost immediately causes inflammation and is a major cause of weight gain. Pls help her to cook oil free. It is quite easy and you wont notice the absence of oil - Let her get sunlight..atleast 30 minutes in a day. If she can't go out, she can sit near an open window and expose her hands and legs as much as possible. Do it early morning and evening - Let her sleep and rest without distractions as much as needed. - If she can't exercise, let her try dry body brushing to improve circulation of blood. She can try some gently sitting exercises too - Be with her and help her to adopt a positive frame of mind believing in nature and her own body's healing powers. Show her the healing journeys from this website for her to draw inspiration. Yes, these are a lot of things and she may not give her full go ahead. Just ask her to try for 21 days and she herself will see a big change. Of all these changes, the easiest ones to do in my opinion are adequate rest and fruit only breakfast. These two by itself will show lot of promising results. Weight loss will surely happen too as a secondary result. Please keep checking her sugar levels and reducing dosage gradually. My dad was able to quit insulin injections within a week. Surely, your mom can too at some point in time depending on how well she can adhere. Contact me if you want any further info and all the best to both of you. Health is everyone's birthright.

1. Please state her age in comments. 2. Remove animal proteins including milk, all refined products and packaged food from her diet. 3. Water drink adequately. 4. Lot of citrus fruits whole and juiced. Avoid cooked food for 90 days if possible. Raw vegetables like cucumber, beetroot, capsicum and cabbage. 5. Back ache is directly associated with digestion problem. Exercise for spinal cord is must. Simple bending ahead, sideways and back is must. Try few sit ups and gradually increase to 50 daily.
How to cure brain fog. Not able to think clearly and properly. Heaviness in head. How should I cure..?

Brain fog again is due to toxaemia Divya. You will need to go through a cleansing and maintain a healthy lifestyle to starve off the viruses affecting those communications / neurotransmitters. It’s similar to dementia / Alzheimer’s where a similar issue occurs too. It’s best to be on a grainless whole food plant based diet without any oil. No diary no animal based foods no soy sugar corn outside prepared foods or ready to eats . Get ur b12 examined. Exposure to sun for 30 mins. Best to stay on a full raw lifestyle with exceptions being steamed veggies. Increase intake of fruits leaves and veggies and its juices. Don’t feed anything that will feed the toxaemia to increased and feed that infection. It’s very important to keep ur stress levels to a minimum. We don’t want the adrenaline to mess the other responses in the body. Stay blessed. This can heal.. be disciplined and it will be reversed
Looking for ways to increase my 3 year old's raw intake. He's a fussy eater. Pls share some ideas.

As summer season is going on so primarily the intake of fruits and vegetables can serve two benefits firstly the raw food intake practice can improve as well as it will provide satiety juices can be given fruit chaats can be given.Salad preparations can be given. Raw nuts and seeds can be incorporated in the preparations. Sprouts can be given by mixing good texture of (vegetables like cucumber, onion) and even tomato and a pinch of lemon can add to the flavour.

Hi. Body is tuned to be in a state of balance.....only when we let it be. Actions that interfere in body's default mode - Artificial hormonal intake, i.e. dairy, non veg, medicines Chemicals - personal care & home care products, pollution, packaged foods Increased acidity in the body - diet rich in acidic foods such as grains, tea / coffee, refined foods, junk foods, oily spicy foods, etc, stress, sedentary lifestyle Actions that support body's default mode - Eat whole foods, not refined Lots of raw fruits & veggies. Strive for atleast 50% of your food intake to be raw. Exercise regularly. Spend time in sun every morning 15-20 minutes. Stay happy. Ensure sleep of around 8 hours every night. This may sound very generic. But that's the whole point. Let your body be!! ,
Life nowadays is quite exhausting, suggest some ways to connect to nature inspite of hectic schedules for all working people.
Asha Shivaram
08:20 PM | 29-06-2019
Yes, it is understandable since so many of us have the same problem. I would suggest the following - - Cultivate a garden and spend time tending to it with your family. It is the best teacher and relaxer - Bring nature into your home - Grow many indoor plants which not only cools your home but also makes your home more inviting - Choose to go for holidays to somewhere remote or to the countryside instead of the normal busy, tourist attractions - Go hug a tree or sit down on your lawn and read your book - Step onto your terrace or balcony in the early morning or late evening and watch the birds going home, see the greeery around, breathe in the fresh quality of air at these times - Switch off your TVs, phones etc and listen to the sounds of nature - the sounds of brds, insects, rustling of leaves. the sound of water etc - Sketch the changing colours of seasons in your sketchbook as you view it - Make collections of different things you notice in every season - ex: fallen leaves in autumn, seeds of various flowers - Enjoy getting drenched in rains with your child and the fresh smells the first rain brings or just watch the rain through your window - Adopt a dog so that you are forced to go out :) In short, enjoy nature with all your senses. Most importantly, let us all preserve it so that our future generation can also enjoy the sights and smells we enjoyed in our childhood.
