Hi, Constipation is a condition of disturbance in bowel movements, difficulty in defecation. There are many factors that contribute to or cause constipation. The most common causes are Eating a diet too low in fibe Eating too few calories Not drinking enough fluids A low physical activity level Due to some medications Behavior changes: Consume a balanced healthy meals in regular interval. It is best to follow a regular pattern of bowel movement. Persons having normal bowel pattern usually defecate at approximately the same time every day. Since the bowels are most active after awakening and after meals, the most optimal time for a bowel movement is usually within the first two hours after waking and after breakfast. Don’t ignore the signal to defecate. Diet: Fiber increases stool bulk, which help stools move through the colon. The recommended amount of fiber is 20 to 35 grams daily. Fresh Fruits, green and green leafy vegetables and cereals are excellent source of fiber. Citrus fruits, prunes, fig and prune juice are especially helpful. Bloating and flatulence is a common problem with increased fiber so it is best to start slowly and increase the amount of fiber gradually. Drinking Lauki juice, beetroot carrot juice daily in the morning also helps to relive constipation. Adding ginger in your food also helps to improve your digestion and helps to relieve constipation. Insoluble fibers: Consume more insoluble fibers. Insoluble Fiber is not digested by the body and is excreted as waste. This type of fiber promotes bowel regularity and discourages the development of constipation and other complication like hemorrhoids. Insoluble fibers are present wheat bran, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and skins on vegetables and fruits. Drink plenty of liquids: Drink 3-5 liters of water daily, and consume more fruits juices. Fluid helps your body process fiber without any discomfort. Include exercise or physical activity in your daily routine. Physical activity is a natural way to relieve constipation. Get up early in the morning and drink lukewarm water then go for a brisk walk or gentle jogging help your body to get hydrated and help in relieving constipation. Avoid drinking water during meals. Avoid Tea, coffee and other carbonated, packed/canned drinks. Avoid spicy, oily fried food items. Avoid milk and milk products. Avoid polished rice, sugar and maida. Drinking cinnamon water 30 minutes before going to bed also helps to relives constipation. Consume overnight soaked figs/raisins daily. Include more raw vegetable salads and sprouts in your diet. Avoid non vegetarian food items. Practice regular Yogasana: Aanas like pawanamuktasana, naukasana, matsyasana, vajarasana, vakrasana, and ardha matsyendrasana. Practice regular pranayamas like nadishuddhi and bhramari . helps to reduce your stress which is alo cause for constipation. Cold mud pack to the abdomen also more beneficial in reliving constipation. Namasthe!

Namaste You can get rid of your rhinitis for sure, but yes you will certainly need to be very disciplined. Because taking care of our selves needs full dedication and time. Healing is our body’s innate nature. It can heal from any disease, the only requirement is that you stop interfering with its normal functioning. Just by removing habits, food habits and practices that hinder your body from functioning normally you can create a congenial atmosphere for the body’s innate vitality to do what it needs to do to maintain good health. How can you help your body cleanse internally? I would say we must look into what things we should remove from our diet to improve our overall health quality. Foods to be removed 1 All packaged and processed outside food-like substances. 2 Refined flour and refined oil 3 All types of stimulants like tea and coffee. If you drink alcohol then that too must be stopped. 4 All overcooked, deep-fried oily food. 5 Avoid dairy, meat eggs etc. Foods to be included 1 Fresh locally grown seasonal fruits - 50% of daily intake 2 Fresh seasonal vegetables and greens - 35% of daily intake 3 Grains - soaked or sprouted or steamed - 10 % of daily intake 4 soaked nuts and seeds - 5% of daily intake And understand this - it is not only the food that influences your quality of blood but many other things too matter equally. 1 Learn Pranayam and yoga for relaxing your mind, improving your flexibility and activating your lymphatic system. 2 Get good sun exposure either in the early hours of the morning or a couple of hours before sunset. 3 Get in touch with Mother Earth. Do some gardening with your hands or at least walk barefoot on sand or mud. Sit in parks or lie on the ground or lawns and relax. 4 Keep an eye on your bowel movement. See to it that your bowels are always functioning normally. Eliminate larger quantities than what you eat. 5 Rest and relax well. Sleep in the earlier part of the night and sleep through the night. Wake up before or with the sun. 6 Be well hydrated. Is Gilol juice can be given to a 5 year old child as a precaution against viral fever?
Smitha Hemadri
05:14 PM | 11-06-2019
I think you mean Amruthballi ( creeper ) juice. Let me clarify the reasons why body gives a fever. Fever is body’s natural response to fight the invaders or scavengers who have come to eat the toxins that have accumulated in his body. The reasons why you had eye infection, the reasons why he has a fever/ you are trying to avoid a fever and the reasons why your wife has a fever are accumulation of toxins . All same reasons but different symptoms. All these are acute stages of body handling the toxins and flushing it. If this is suppressed at this stage, it will continue to accumulate and cause other issues where you might think you need to medicate daily. Anything from a mild body issue to cancer are all lifestyle issues. If he has toxins, the virus will come to eat that too. Have you thought why some people in the same family get a dengue for example and why some don’t get ? Virus and bacteria are natural scavengers. They come where food or organic matter is rotting. It can be on the food kept on the table or the undigested food in the body. All the food that we eat that is not supposed to be human food rot because body is not designed to process it or digest it till the exit. It just stores because life must go on. This stored junk attracts the scavengers and they release their poop and pee also called neurotoxins and that causes inflammation which in English medicine they have multiple names depending on the part of the body that’s inflammed. We can go on and on about this topic, but I encourage you to read the valuable and informative articles in the body wisdom section on wellcure for answers as it has everything you will need to know to keep yourself and your family healthy. To start with remove all animal products like diary meat eggs fish. Sugar maida wheat and embrace a whole food plant based lifestyle with lots of fruits veggies and greens. Whole food means eating foods the way god created it. Unpolished, unrefined, unprocessed, in parts. Oils are part of the seed.. eat the seed instead. To address the fever if he has, you must let the body donits job. Fever is a good sign tat he has enough vitality or life force in his body to fight and keep his body safe. If you medicate him, you are going against the body’s natural response of keeping its fort protected. Keep him on any pulpless fruit juices like lime moodambi orange grapes water melon carrot juice tender coconut and things like this . Hydrating the body will also flush the toxins out and keep natural thermostat in order. This will ensure tat body will not get into a situation to rise beyond its need and cause adverse consequences ( as understood by the medical community) during a high fever. Fever is not to be worried about. Let it happen and handle it naturally. Don’t look at herbs to reduce the temperature. It’s only going to work against the body even if it’s a herb. Herbs used in wrong situations is wrong too.

Any remedy for alopecia?

Hi, I am adding my inputs and experience here -- Eat a lot of fruits DAILY: Yes lots means lots. 2-3 full rounds in morning and a good helping in evening snacks (instead of anything cooked at that time). Now a days at our home, breakfast time means fruit time. Even for Dev, start of day is with fruits and soaked dry fruits. As a rule, his morning and evening snacks are all fruit based! :) Eat fruits alone: Be sure to eat fruits alone not with a meal. Fruits digest very quickly, and when eaten with other food groups which take longer to digest fruits just sit in stomach and fester. So all the goodness turns counter productive. 30 minutes is what fruit needs to digest so 30 minutes prior to a meal or 2 hours after a full meal is good time to eat fruits. Add more raw, live, fresh foods to your regular routine: This would be step by step, but a good habit to build. Raw foods include raw vegetables as salads, or lightly steamed, nuts, seeds and sprouts. veg juices is another option but this is usually a tough one to pull off in a busy life. So a better and easier way to do this is make raw vegetable based salads a part of each meal time (lunch & dinner). Good large hearty portions (Do not add fruits here) . Another way to do this simply is add back Indian, homemade nut based chutneys. So any peanut, coconut or cashew chutney not only adds taste and oomph to meals, it also provides the much needed material for our body to build and repair (Nuts and seeds). If you are short of time just keep these handy in your kitchen cabinet and sprinkle liberally in salads: Roasted Til (Sesame seeds) Peanuts raw or roasted Coconut – are some easy ways to increase your nuts Keep off dairy: You may look at keeping dairy off for 3 – 6 months and see if you feel any difference. If you feel the need, go with nutmilks. Today's dairy is infested with hormones and antibiotics, and has a very significant impact on our body's internal hormonal system. Hairfall is very deeply linked to the health of our endocrine system. Do not do this just because I am saying, explore and read up about dairy more. Look at nature, we are the only species, which drinks milk of another species, the key question is do we need to do so especially in our adult lives?

Hello, Cancer is a health issue in which the unwanted cells in the body begins to multiply at an abnormal rate and in an uncontrolled manner, which suppresses the growth of normal cells of the body. You have not mentioned about the details regarding the health status of your father, about the history of the disease as well as the past illness, family history, etc. But still here are some natural ways which help to gain good health in general. Things to avoid Say no to alcohol and smoking completely. Avoid tea, coffee and other caffeinated drinks. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid dairy products and animal foods. Say no to processed, packaged, and preserved foods. Diet Have only plant-based natural foods. Try to be more on liquid diet as this will be very beneficial for the gut. Have fresh and homemade fruit juices and vegetable juices with fibres. Have coconut water regularly. Include carrots in your daily diet. Have steamed broccoli, carrots and peas. Have overnight soaked dry fruits like raisins, almonds, etc. Have almond milk. Aromatherapy Aromatherapy uses fragrant oils to provide a calming sensation. Oils, infused with scents such as lavender, can be applied to your skin during the massage or the oils can be added to bath water. Fragrant oils can also be heated to release their scents into the air. Aromatherapy will be helpful in relieving nausea, pain, stress, etc. Exercise Gentle exercise may help to relieve fatigue and stress and help you sleep better. Hence, the cells of the body are repaired better. Many studies now show that an exercise program may help people with cancer to live longer and improve their overall quality of life. Meditation Meditation has the power to heal everything. It should be performed for double time than your age. For example, if you are 25 years old then you should meditate for 50 minutes. So, meditate regularly as it will create an aura which will aid in healing. Sleep Our body always needs a proper rest for well functioning. So, make sure that you take a proper sleep for atleast 8 to 10 hours daily. Don't use any electronic equipments atleast 1hour before sleeping to have a better quality of sleep. Thank you

I am 26yr old female suffering from anemia, hypothyroidism and low vit D levels. Kindly guide me. What to do?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
04:58 PM | 25-02-2020
Hello User, All the three diseases which you have mentioned has a basic pathology of malabsorption, what does it mean and how does it affect? Hypothyroidism, as the name, suggests meaning, the slow function of our thyroid gland this happens when we are having 'tamasik' type of food which means that the food which causes our energy to becomes sluggish and our hormones do not get released at the right tie by our glands. That is why our food like cheese, rotten, highly spices, liquor and smoking make our body sluggish in action. Even the sedentary lifestyle and wrong sitting posture which we practice is also triggering the sluggish functioning of the body. A sluggish body will take time in absorbing iron and Vitamin D which again lead to deficiency. Hence we need to work on the overall lifestyle and treat the cause in a holistic manner. That is why taking an initiative for holistic change can help you from within and treat you the best. Eat: Starting your day with something light in nature and easy to digest is what your breakfast should be. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The diet rich in Vitamin C is what we should start with like oranges, mosumbi, lemon, berries are going to be very helpful in the case of iron absorption. A diet rich in selenium which we get from our nuts and dried fruit like peanut, gram etc will help in treating hypothyroid by accelerating their function. The next thing is consuming two dates, empty stomach early morning this will help in iron absorption and deal with anaemia. Have jaggery water with one tablespoon of lemon squeezed, two hours after your afternoon meal this will treat your vitamin and iron absorption. Refined sugar and salt, dairy product and gluten should be completely avoided in your situation. Exercise: Surynamakar helps in increasing the blood circulation doing 12 sets will help, start with 6 if you are a beginner. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes, helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is the best source of Vitamin D taking brisk walk around 6-7 will help in getting your Vitamin D levels right. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive.A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. 15-minute relaxing meditation with the help of light music before sleep will help you in relaxing. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem, sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you Thank you.

I am having mouth ulcer occurs frequently?

Kindly remove dairy ( even powder milk is milk in another form, ghee, paneer, butter, curd ) sugar meat from his lifestyle. Ulcers are an elimination of an acidic stomach and inefficiently digested meal over long periods of time. Possible constipation might also be there. A unclean gut ( stomach- rectum) is a big reason for mouth ulcers. U have to remove animal products immediately , reduce oils or cook without it. Gargle the mouth with ashgourd juice 3-4 times a day. If this is not available then snake gourd juice can be used to gargle or rinse the mouth. If you see the Durva grass or the one they use for Ganesh Pooja, u can grind and use that for rinsing too. This is only for the relief of pains of the ulcers. Be blessed Smitha Hemadri ( Educator of natural healing practices)

Hello Meera, Uterine fibroids are the non-cancerous growth of the uterus that often appear during the childbearing years. You can have single or multiple fibroids. In extreme cases, multiple fibroids can expand the uterus so much that it reaches the rib cage and can add weight. Uterine fibroids may result in heavy menstrual bleeding, constipation, backache, frequent urination, difficulty in urination, etc. Uterine fibroids may result due to the following reasons- Genetic factors Hormonal changes Some growth factors Extracellular matrix What can be done? Diet - Your daily diet is very important for treating the fibroids. The right nutrition will help you to manage your weight and reduce your risk. Have fibre rich, unprocessed foods as they will help to prevent excess weight, balance hormones and curb your appetite. Have fresh, seasonal and locally available fruits and vegetables as they will help to reduce inflammation and lower your risk of fibroids. Have raw and cooked vegetables Include whole grains and dry fruits in your diet. Include lentils and beans in your diet. Have brown rice instead of white rice. Have fresh and dried herbs. Drink sufficient water during the day. Yoga and pranayam Practice suryanamaskar daily. Do paschimottan asana, trikona asana, tada asana and padahasta asana. Practice deep breathing exercises and pranayam regularly for 15-20min. Take early morning sunrays daily. Sleep A correct sleeping pattern is very essential for maintaining the circadian rhythm and hormonal balance. So, take a proper good quality sleep for atleast 7-8hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning. Thank you

Hello Deepti, Any disease of our reproductive system is directly getting affected by the overall things happening in our bodies. You call it fibroid or you call it polycystic ovary disease they all come from the same group which is our blood and oxygen not reaching our parts properly and this resulting in the stagnation of our body which results in the bulky uterus which is due to inflammation. It is time to treat oneself in nature's way. Many people are now choosing this mode of treatment for the simple reason this is the time to have a long term solution to all these recurrent problems. In any case, the cure remains the same, which is a holistic cure in nature's way. With taking initiative for treating overall health you will surely reach a cure. Eat: Start the day with having two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out all the toxins from the body. Include vegetable juices in the breakfast which are light in nature. Consume food that is oil-free, avoid any kind of milk products, and packaged food items. Make sure you have two hours gap between your meals and sleep timing Start with food items like jaggery, dates, sprouts, green leafy vegetables which help in increasing iron content which will make the blood supply to the uterus healthy. Vitamin C addition helps in easy-iron absorption, for example adding lemon in dals. Include fruits like apples, papaya, bananas in the day to have a healthy GUT. Boil one inch of ginger in warm water and add honey with a half teaspoon of turmeric, this ginger turmeric tea should be consumed once a day, two hours after lunch, for controlling inflammation. Exercise: Sleep on back, raise one leg and start rotating in a circular motion for 5 times and place it back, repeat the same with another leg. This will elevate your uterine muscles. Squats are another exercise to improve uterine health. Do it 15-20 times at one time. Sit and take 10-15 long deep breaths from the abdomen, to release all the toxicity. Start with Suryanamaskar, 12 sets daily, and if your mother is a beginner start with 6 and slow postures with each breath. Take her for a brisk walk in the sun, the sun will help in increasing both blood and oxygen supply of the body. Meditation: While sleeping, take a bowl of water. Put two-three essential oil drops like lavender or orange and inhale it. It will help in calming nerves. Listen to music for 15 minutes by closing your eyes and deep breathing, this will help in treating stress. 15 minutes relaxation session is important before sleep. The power of visualization is very important, imagine your body uterus to be healthy and getting free from all types of toxicity. This will help you a lot. Pelvic massages are also very healthy in this case, massage with almond or coconut oil. Sleep: A sound sleep should be of 7-8 hours. This will help in releasing all stress and treat all the issues in a healthy manner. It is time to get yourself healthy and wise. A sound sleep of 7-8 hours is considered to be healthy and helps us a lot in treating all kinds of problems. Hopefully, these suggestions will be helpful Thank you
