Hello sir/mam! I m 45 years old. I'm a thyroid patient and got early menopause. That is the reason I have many health problems, muscle problems. When I wake up in morning I feel very lazy and tired. What can I do? Plz suggest some diet plan.
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
08:59 PM | 14-09-2020
Hello Mahipreet, Menopause and hypothyroid both make the body sluggish and as menopause is a physiological process hypothyroid happens due to what we have been putting in our body, which is eating a tamasic diet (adulterated, rotten and unhealthy junk is considered as tamasic). In this case, when we load our body with this kind of food, our metabolism becomes sluggish, "hypo" thyroid happens. Here, our body starts pushing on more to reach an optimal level of functioning. Now as our body already in a sluggish state, immunity is weakened. Our metabolism is surely going to become slow leading to shortness in breath, vision problems, nutrients not reaching the body causes hair thinning and low libido reflects everything accordingly. The main thing to treat this multidimensional illness should be about everything, food, meditation, sleep, and exercise which amalgamate for good health and reach your optimal solution. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake for at least one month and refrain from something oil-based. One inch of ginger boiled in two cups of water with one tablespoon lemon, boil them for 5-10 minutes. Consume this mixture during evening time to accelerate metabolism. High selenium diet which is peanuts, almonds, mushroom, etc helps to increase the function of the thyroid. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practicing it early morning in an area that has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Cat and Cow pose helps in increasing the function of the thyroid gland. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it. But with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleeping with the help of music to stay positive. Hi, home remedies for tooth ache?
Dr. Sukan Rajpurohit
08:04 PM | 10-09-2020
Hello Subah, Toothache is one of the most painful experiences one can have. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, it is impossible at times to visit the doctor to get treatment. In such times it is necessary to learn how to manage such pain naturally, herbally, and at the comfort of home. I will provide you with some healthy, vegan, and natural tips to counter toothache in the best way possible. 1. Dietary advice: Avoid excessive sugar and sugary drinks like most soft drinks that are available in the market. They react with the enamel of the teeth to form acid which in turn corrodes the teeth and it’s enamel. Rinse your mouth at least twice to three times a day with lukewarm water, salt, and a dash of turmeric added to it. It’ll help you clear up the infections better and warm water will soothe the pain. Avoid normal dairy tea and replace it with green teas like peppermint tea or ginger tea as they have been proven effective to heal and stop the damage caused to the teeth and gums Add garlic to your diet. Also chewing a tiny piece of garlic will help ina good management of pain and local problems. Chew on a piece of clove or apply clove essential oil to the affected tooth. Clove has been used by ayurveda for the effective treatment of the tooth ailments. 2. Physical advice: Mild to moderate physical exercise is expected to be followed by you. Walking daily in sun for 30-40 minutes will help you in proper regulation of calcium in your body via Vitamin D. this will make your teeth stronger. Avoid eating any hard food which may cause undue pressure to the local area. 3. Mental advice: Mental calmness is directly associated with pain. The more anxious a person is the more pain he experiences. Meditate daily for 30 minutes to calm yourself. 4. Routine and lifestyle advice: Brush twice daily with a herbal toothpaste. Floss daily for the hygienic gums. Eat fruits rich in vitamin C for a healthy base of teeth and stronger gums. I hope I have covered all the points. Do let me know in the comments if you have any doubts. Thank you. Dr. Sukan M. Rajpurohit M.P.H (Gandhinagar)

Symptoms may include and aren’t limited to runny nose, sneezing, headache, etc. The main reason for allergy is the hyper-reactive or hyper-responsive immune system which can be easily managed naturally along with a plant and fruit-based diet. This would take care of your allergies without the need of anti-allergic medicine. 1. Dietary Advice: Green teas are a savior in allergic conditions. Ginger lemon tea will help you a lot to relieve the symptoms of allergy. Eating a lot of citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, grapefruits, pomelo, etc will help you to treat your allergies better as they have been known to have vitamin C which directly helps in the treatment of allergies. A plant and fruit-based diet will help you flush out and reduce the toxins in your body which in turn will reduce your symptoms. Ginger has been known as a Natural decongestant for ages. Eating or adding ginger in your diet will help you a lot in your condition. 2. Physical advice: Walking daily in sun for 30-40 minutes will increase vitamin d in your body. Vitamin D has been known to as well as proven to help in allergy. Mild to moderate exercise is very important as exercise increases the immunity and is helpful for you. Yoga especially Surya Namaskar will jump-start your day with a more positive and active outlook. Breathing exercises especially Anulom-Vilom and Kapaal Bharati have been known and proven to help with allergies or the upper respiratory tract. 3. Mental advice: Stress has been known to create an exaggerated immune response so healthy stress-free living is one of the most important factors here. Meditate for 15-20 minutes daily and increase the timing daily. It will help you calm down and ponder upon things in life. 4. Routine advice: Sleep for 8 hours daily and make sure the quality of sleep is good. Cut down on dairy as well as caffeine as they have been known to exacerbate the allergies. I hope I have covered most of your concerns. Do let me know in the comments if you have any further doubts. Dr. Sukan M. Rajpurohit B.H.M.S (Mumbai) M.P.H (Gandhinagar)

Hello Deergha, Oily skin is a problem more common than you think. it is experienced by all the age groups and is mainly due to the toxins in the body that need elimination, a detox is recommended. The hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands tends to cause excessively oily skin. Oily skin is also a treat for the bacterial colonies which in turn is responsible for outbursts of acne and other skin infections. 1. Dietary advice: Eat green leafy vegetables, salads, and fruits as much as you can. They help in detoxification of the body. This will relieve all your skin problems in general and not just oily skin. Drink plenty of water every day. Water has been known as a natural cleaner and it cleanses all the toxins and flushes them out of the body. Eat an oil-free, fat-free diet. Excessive oils in the diet will contribute to your problems. Use neem fack pack or neem toners. They will not only help you with oily skin but also clear bacterial growth preventing the burst of acne and other infections. 2. Physical advice: Wash your face at least two to three times a day with nothing but plain water. It will cleanse your face and remove excess oil and dirt. Avoid touching your face unnecessarily and with dirty hands or wiping your face with a common towel. Have a good skincare routine. A serum at night, a sunblock in the noon when out traveling and a soap mild on the skin will help you considerably. Exercising daily for 30 minutes to an hour with moderate intensity should get your skin in action and clear out excess dirt and oil by sweat. 3. Mental advice: Stress has been known to cause various skin issues including oily skin. Try meditation for 30 minutes daily to cut out stress-related issues. Drink green teas and replace them with your regular tea and coffee. If you think your oily skin is related to the menstrual cycle then do not worry as it will subside with the cycle. 4. Routine and lifestyle advice: Avoid caffeine or don’t overindulge yourself. Avoid smoking or drinking as they have been known to cause bad health let alone oily skin. An active lifestyle is advisable. I hope I have covered all the points. Do let me know in the comments if you have any doubts. Thank you. Dr. Sukan M. Rajpurohit M.P.H (Gandhinagar)

Hello Chandan, Eczema on the eye pupils are caused due to infection happening in the body, the best way to treat this infection is by working on the immunity. Due to continuous exposure to pollutants in the environment, our low nutritive diet, and a sedentary lifestyle, our body's action becomes vulnerable, making it susceptible to infections. This eye infection can be very well taken care of in a natural way. It is time to make changes in the diet and adapt an overall naturalistic lifestyle. A holistic measure is the only way you can treat this thing completely. Eat: The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake and refrain from something which is oil-based. Have fruit salad in the afternoon time and vegetable salad as an evening snack this will be light on your stomach. A diet rich in Vitamin C will help in dealing with any immunity problem. Sources like lemons, oranges, mosumbi will help. Warm compression, three times a day, helps in increasing blood circulation in the area. Putting rose water in the eyes helps in keeping them moist. Wash your eyes regularly with warm water. Exercise: Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body, practicing it early morning in an area which has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation. Suryanamaskar daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Tratak eye exercises help in improving eye muscle and keep you away from any eye problems. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive. Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep, by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind. A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you

Hello User, The basic pathology behind the psoriasis disease is in two parts, one part is our immunity gets hampered and starts producing abnormal cells and second is inflammation. To simplify both, our body is getting affected by our day to day lifestyle which is a high-fat diet and sedentary living which is affecting our body and, in your case, the cause of fatty liver too and activates its defense mechanism in order to protect it. Skin giving the first reaction to everything going inside the body, that is where psoriasis begins. Now, what can be these things which our body is protecting us from? Stress, smoking, vitamin D deficiency (low sun exposure), any kind of past skin injury-causing infection, a high-fat diet which causes difficulty indigestion. Now that we are clear about the cause, an initiative for holistic change can help you from within and treat you the best. Eat: Starting your day with something light in nature and easy to digest is what your breakfast should be. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins. The diet rich in Vitamin C is what we should start with like oranges, mosumbi, lemon, berries. These are going to be very helpful in the case of iron absorption. Refined sugar and salt, dairy products, and gluten should be completely avoided in your situation. The application of coconut oil is important. One tablespoon of coconut oil and 2-3 drops of tea tree oil will help in keeping the skin moist, apply thrice a day. One tablespoon of olive oil mixed with your bathing water while taking a bath. In the evening, two hours after your meal in the afternoon, take one inch of ginger, one teaspoon of honey and half teaspoon of turmeric in one cup of water, bring it to boil for 5-10 minutes and consume daily. This will help in treating inflammation which is causing psoriasis and fatty liver both. Exercise: Surynamakar helps in increasing the blood circulation doing 12 sets will help, start with 6 if you are a beginner. A brisk walk in early morning sun from 30-45 minutes, helps in treating your body to its level best. Sun is the best source of Vitamin D taking brisk to walk around 6-7 will help in treating psoriasis. Meditation: In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive.A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life.15-minute relaxing meditation with the help of light music before sleep will help you in relaxing. Sleep: Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem, sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. Hopefully, these suggestions will help you. Thank you.

Hello Romi, Itching continuously in medical terminology is also caused by urticaria. Urticaria is caused by pollution, toxic diet, and also the stressors which we get exposed to in our day to day living. With the above food mentioned can be the cause for some people, the basic cause remains the same which is of chronic food habits which cause the problems. So, the main thing here on which we have to give our complete attention to is changing our lifestyle with inclusions and exclusion of few things in our daily routine will help us in treating the problem which is primarily through diet. So here are four things to deal with: Eat: We have so many sources like sprouts, sweet potatoes, capsicum, papaya, which when included in your regular diet, will help in treating the issue. Apple and carrot juice are very beneficial in treating the disease. One apple and one carrot blend them in water and make a thin consistency. This mixture should be helpful. Another thing that helps in treating skin disease is the application of aloe vera gel and coconut oil. After bathing during night time you can apply aloe vera gel and coconut oil. Avoid milk and milk products as they can aggravate your state. Exercise: Exercising helps in treating any diseases as because of exercise our blood is circulated well and our body parts become healthier. A brisk walk in the morning in the sun helps in treating the issue. Sun helps in treating all the diseases at the same time builds our immunity. Sun exposure is very important to have a healthy life. A 30-minute walk in the early morning sun is helpful. Meditation: Meditation helps in treating any problem which has stress as the cause. Mindful meditation is healthy, music therapy of 15 minutes is required to have a comfortable and fresh mood. Doing it before sleep will help in getting a sound sleep. Sleep: Good sleep helps in treating the problem, sleep helps in rejuvenating our cells and will help in building up our immunity. Our sleep cycle compromises of 90 minutes, this cycle should be repeated 5 times that 7-8 hours of sleep is important to have a better life. Hopefully, this will surely help you treating hives. Thank you.
