Hello, I am Madhulika age 50 years, current weight is 69 kg, hypothyroid and pre-diabetic patients , suffering from severe knee and lower back pain also. I want to reduce at least 12 kg weight. I am working women. So please suggest me easy to follow diet plan for curing above mentioned disease.

Hello Madhulika, Hypothyroidism is a lifestyle disorder and many people are suffering from this due to an improper lifestyle and wrong eating habits. In this, the hormonal balance gets disturbed which lowers the metabolism and leads to issues like constipation, no hunger, fatigue, obesity, anaemia etc. Due to lower metabolism, nutrients are not absorbed properly which further leads to problems like thinning of hairs, pain in joints and bones, drowsiness, decreased vision. Diabetes is also a lifestyle disorder. By making some changes in lifestyle, good health can be achieved. Reasons for thyroid: Genetic factors. Environmental factors. Obesity. Lack of physical activity. Stress Wrong eating habits. Incorrect sleeping pattern. Diet: Eat only plant based natural raw foods. Eat fresh fruits like banana, pomegranate, avocado. Eat fresh green leafy vegetables like spinach, coriander. Eat salads, steamed sprouts, nuts. Avoid dairy products and animal foods. Avoid tea and coffee. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid processed and packaged foods. Eat whole grains like barley, millets, oats. Drink coconut water. Physical activity: Do suryanamaskar daily. Do gomukha asana, paschimottan asana, padahasta asana, garuda asana daily. Perform pranayam like bhramri pranayam and ujjayi pranayam for benefitting thyroid gland. Sleep: Sleeping pattern and quality greatly affects the circadian rhythm and in turn the hormonal balance. So, take a deep sleep of good quality for 77-8hours daily. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6am. Thank you .
Oats are supposed to be healthy, are they acidic or alkaline and what impact it has on my body?
PSYsolution by Kalyan
11:19 AM | 21-01-2019
Oats are semi-concentrated foods and require substatial amount of VITALITY in its digestion/assimilation process. We need semi-concentrated food very less (approx. 10% of the total food consumption, consumable weight-wise). Oats and other semi-concentrated food needs application of heat/water to steam/boil to facilitate the consumption. We should not try to enhance the taste to lure the consumption. Please read the following note on pH scales. In brief, let us understand what is a pH scale: Science has introduced a logarithmic scale to specify the acidity or basicity/alkalinity of an aqueous solution. Acidity and Basicity/Alkalinity are two opposite properties of an aqueous solution. Like everything else, in Nature, aqueous solutions too try to achieve a homeostatic state or the state neutrality. The neutral state of a solution is pure Water. In pH scale the value of water as defined is 7. Below 7, all the solutions are acidic and above 7, are basic/alkaline. Acid and Alkaline always try to neutralize each other to become water. The pH value of blood is approx 7.4. That means it is almost neutral being slightly basic/alkaline. In diseased condition the pH value becomes more than 7, usually. With this understanding we confuse ourselves by concluding that we need to make our blood alkaline to have better state of wellness! It is another superstition! If we make our blood highly alkaline that is also a health hazard! Change in pH value or its Alkalinity or acidity in blood is an EFFECT of health. The CAUSE is somewhere else! Addressing the EFFECTSinstead of addressing the CAUSE, is a limited and shallow approach. We cannot carry a pH strip with us to measure the pH value of food that we choose to eat! Nature has sketched an excellent indicator to identify the right food. THE VOICE OF THE ORGANISM (V/O) is that indicator. The taste sensation is one of the major executions of V/O. Other important V/O in identifying the right food are smell, sight etc. The first condition is the food should be in its natural state without any modification; then we need to use our V/O to identify if it is beneficial for us. We should feel good about the food in terms of its smell, sight and taste. If it feels good, it is good for us. Simple! We can skip bothering about pH values. Thank you... How and why to adopt Jaggery instead of Sugar for Healthy lifestyle?
Prof Dr Srikrishan Sha...
01:08 PM | 09-09-2019
Jaggery (or gur) is made from unrefined sugar, and is obtained by boiling raw, concentrated sugar cane juice till it solidifies. Although jaggery is also made from the sap of coconut and date palm, the one made from sugar cane is the one that's used most widely. Not only is gur better than white sugar--which only adds empty, digestible, natural calories to your body--it also has a number of health benefits, including its ability to cleanse the body, aid in digestion and provide good amounts of minerals. Here are some health benefits that will make you want to adopt jaggery as your go-to sweetener for everyday purposes: Gur prevents constipation by aiding digestion. It activates the digestive enzymes in our body, thus helps in proper digestion of food. That's why many people prefer eating jaggery after a meal. Gur acts as a detox, as it helps cleanse the liver by flushing out nasty toxins from the body. Jaggery is loaded with antioxidants and minerals like zinc and selenium, which help prevent free-radicals (responsible for early ageing). It helps boost resistance against infections, hence building stronger immunity. Eating a piece of jaggery daily can help women combat PMS symptoms including mood swings, menstrual cramps and abdominal pain. Jaggery acts as a natural sweetener and provides energy over an extended period of time. Even factory-made honey has been deemed unhealthy because it gets ripped of its nutrients. That's when jaggery steps in! Gur is, however, suggested to consume jaggery in moderation, as it is slightly higher in calories, containing up-to 4 kcal/gram. People who are diabetic or are following a weight loss diet should monitor their consumption of jaggery, as it can lead to weight gain and fluctuations in blood-sugar levels. Molasses a bio-product of Jaggery is now being considered most effective tool for detoxing the body and creating carbon free body. It contains Natural Insulin which is wonderful remedy for liver and kidney cleansing.

Nuts which are healthy and generally recommended are acidic or alkaline?

Nuts are concentrated foods and require a lot of VITALITY in its digestion/assimilation process. We need nuts very less (5% of the total food consumption, consumable weight-wise). Ideally, nuts should be consumed after soaking in water for few hours to make it softer and reduce the vitality-consumption. Please refer the following note on pH scale. Hello, I have been eating healthy and working out for past 6-7 months. I started this as I was facing Menstrual irregularities. Now, after adapting healthy lifestyle my menstruation has become regular. But my period cycle length keeps getting longer every month initially it was 30, then 35, then 40 in the current month. I am not able to identify the cause. Please help. If anyone has any idea regarding this. I am 22 yrs old. Also, my skin has become very dull despite eating healthy.

Hello User, Anaemia can be the reason for the late periods. Eating correctly is important but along with that, it is also important that the food gets absorbed properly in the intestine to get the essential nutrients present in the food. Also, the hormonal imbalance leads to irregularities in the menstrual cycle. It affects the overall health and your skin is dull because the internal body is not healthy. A correct lifestyle, eating habits and along with this, some exercise or yoga is also necessary for achieving good health. Diet to follow: Eat only plant-based natural foods. Drink freshly prepared fruit juices. Drink coconut milk. Include salads, nuts and sprouts in your diet. Have fresh fruits like banana, pomegranate, citrus fruits. Have fresh green leafy vegetables. Have whole grains like barley, millets, oats. Replace white rice with brown rice. Use cold-pressed oil for cooking. Foods to avoid: Avoid street foods, deep-fried oily foods and spicy foods. Avoid processed foods and packaged foods. Avoid dairy products and animal foods as they are not suitable for the human digestive system and creates health issues. Avoid tea and coffee. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid sugars, refined grains and refined oil. Yoga: Exercising or yoga is very important. Yoga helps in treating menstrual cramps to a great extent as it improves the blood circulation in the whole body and also cures the hormonal imbalance. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do padahasta asana, trikona asana, chakra asana, gomukha asana. Start your morning with a short morning walk of 20 minutes. Do deep breathing exercises like anulom-vilom pranayam. Sleep: Correct sleeping pattern is very important for maintaining circadian rhythm and hormonal balance. Sleep and wake up at a fixed time. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning. Avoid using electronic gadgets 1 hour before sleeping. Thank you.
My age is 71 , what can I eat at what time in which form to gain Healthy Fat? Pl guide
Smitha Hemadri
11:37 AM | 05-10-2019
Sir, you can start by eating healthy, juicing a lot. Once your digestion and assimilation becomes efficient, your body will start gaining weight automatically. When the initial needs of efficient absorption is to clean, then you obviously won’t have excess. A clean body gives an productive output Losing or gaining healthy weight happens when your body and mainly your gut is in a good shape to absorb nutrients or shed the excess. The solution is the same for both the cases. Whatever is the imbalance the body decides and fixes it. High raw whole food plant based meal is your solution. Good sleep , exposure to sun, exercises that help you gain healthy muscles. Fats don’t come because you have nuts or avocado or coconut. Unless your body is ready to act on the food you eat, no food will help. The more the body gets digestive rest from cooked and other wrong foods, it will heal u off the your problems and then build you muscles after u work towards it with weights. You cannot eat fats and gain “healthy” weight . You will gain unhealthy weight Start drinking only fruit and veg cold pressed juices for 10 days. Nothing else. 3-4 lts a day After 10 days eat just stomach full of fruits and greens and occasional vegetables for rest of the month and nothing else. Workout in the gym for sometime if you can manage it on small weights / do yoga daily with regular breathIng. You will lose the toxins that have clogged the body and start gaining. To continue a healthy diet and not lose back after that, the following is a lifestyle you can follow this. Follow this :- Morning on empty stomach Celery juice 500 ml filtered / ash gourd juice / cucumber juice/ Green juice with any watery vegetable like ashgourd / cucumber / ridge gourd / bottle gourd / carrot / beet with ginger and lime filtered/ tender coconut water or more pure veggie juice Afternoon from 12 :- A bowl of fruits - don’t mix melons and other fruits. Eat melons alone. Eat citrus alone Followed by a bowl of veg salad Dinner 2-3 hrs before sleep with Gluten free, oilfree unpolished grains or dals 30% and 70% veggies Include some exercises that involves moving all your parts ( neck , shoulder, elbows, wrist , hip bending twisting , squats, knees, ankles ) along with workout. Focus on weight training See if u can go to the morning sun for sometime in a day 30 mins atleast. Ensure that you are asleep between 10-2 which is when the body needs deep sleep. What to Avoid :- Avoid refined oils, fried food , packaged ready to eat foods, dairy in any form including ghee, refined salt and sugar , gluten , refined oils meat eggs fish coffee tea alcohol , oils in any form Avoid mental stress by not thinking about things you cannot control. Present is inevitable. Future can be planned. Stay happy. Happiness is only inside yourself . The world around you is a better place if you learn to stay happy inside yourself. Hello User, The reason you might be getting this type of condition is because of getting low vitamin C and getting exposed to excessive chemical-based products, which cause heat in the body, and skin becomes dry. The tamasic diet of state and adulterated food also causes this state. Here are some remedies which can help in healing skin as soon as possible. Eat: Start with food items like jaggery, dates, sprouts, green leafy vegetables, which help treating pigmentation. Starting your day with two-three glasses of warm water, which helps in flushing out all the toxins. This is the first step to take for healing your skin. Vitamin C addition helps in easy-iron absorption. For example, adding lemon in dals vitamin C helps in increasing collagen and results in healthy skin. Have a glass of chia seeds(one tablespoon) soaked in one glass of water with one tablespoon of lemon to get healthy skin. Include one fruit like an apple, papaya, a banana a day to have a healthy GUT; excretion will help in releasing the waste from the body. There are face packs which you can try: 1. Apply tea tree oil on the dry area, which will help in treating the same. Apply twice a day. 2. Massage your skin every night with coconut oil and naturally extracted aloe vera gel, one teaspoon each. Thank you

Hi, I'm 33 yrs old with hypothyroidism and using thyronorm 50mcg from the past 5 yrs. I'm trying to conceive but my amh level is very low 0. 08 and fsh is high(18). The doctor said that I'm having low ovarian reserve and I cannot conceive naturally only donor eggs are helpful. Can I heal thyroid and increase my amh level naturally. Is there any chance to conceive naturally?
Anjali Rauthan
10:42 AM | 10-04-2024
Namastey Sirisha, Thank you for sharing your concern with us. Yes, you can conceive and heal Thyroid Naturally. I urge you to follow a ‘whole’ approach to look at your health. Hypothyroid, low AMH, high FSH etc are different names but your body is one ‘whole’. The food nutrients, oxygen, and thoughts you supply to each of the 50 tn cells in the body are the same. The blood carrying all these to the cells is the same. So if the blood is toxic or not sufficiently loaded with the nutrients, oxygen, and positive thoughts, it will keep manifesting in the form of one health issue or the other. When you look at the body as one ‘whole’ & nourish it with all these inputs, all issues start getting resolved. Simple ways to boost fertility: 1. Morning empty stomach: A glass of lukewarm water with the juice of half a lemon. 2. Breakfast: Fresh Seasonal and locally available fruits. Please avoid grain-based breakfasts. 3. Wet pack on abdomen and neck region twice a day: early morning empty stomach and evening after 2-3 hours of meal. Blood circulation will help in removing all the toxins. Anchal Kapur, Fertility Coach, herself struggled with hormonal imbalance, low AMH, and poor egg quality in 2014. She overcame those with Nature Cure & is on a mission to help women TTC get their desired results naturally. You can join the Boost Fertility Personal Coaching program with fertility experts. So many women have benefitted by embracing Mother Nature. No side effects, and no expensive fertility treatments. You can hear the experiences of some of them. I am very much worried about my health. I always google symptoms of various diseases, obsessed about my health. I get muscle twitching, chest pain, severe headache, sharp pains in the muscles. I have done each n every test but all the tests came negative. I did my ecg, vitamin d, calcium test,h pylori test, rheumatoid arthritis test, electrolytes test, blood test, typhoid test almost every test but don't understand what's wrong with me. I am also suffering from acidity. Can you help please?
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
04:32 PM | 31-10-2019
All your symptoms and tests point towards one thing which is the start of a healthy diet and regime. Google will give you a generalised answer for everything rather than relying on that you should pay more attention to yourself with a new positive approach. Start your day with some nuts which will give you energy for a good morning walk and stretches. Walk on green grass and feel the fresh air as this will help in relaxing your nerves. The fresh air will be helpful for breathing and relieve from chest pain. The chest pain can also be due to acidity and this you can deal with including fruits and raw vegetables in your diet. Consume tomato and black pepper an hour before your meal to curb down the acidity. Meditating 10 minutes before bed daily helps in dealing with mental issues like anxiety, you can start with affirmation, " I am healthy and full of energy." This will help in improving your body at subconscious level. Thank you
I am 30 year old married women. I have lot of facial hair. I have tried lot of home remedies such as turmeric powder, chickpea powder facepack, applied patanjali ubtan, used oats and sugar scrub but nothing worked. Underwent laser hair removal therapy too. But my facial hair is not reduced. Please advice me some effective way to reduce facial hair.
Dr. Khushbu Suthar
05:39 PM | 14-09-2020
Hello User, Facial hair removal is difficult in a way that the hormones are rigid and high testosterone which is sometimes genetic can affect the growth. In case you are going for home remedies at making sure you do them 4 times a week and on a regular basis for at least 3 months to see the effects. 1. Lemon and sugar scrub. Lemon being citric in nature helps in preventing regrowth of hair. 2. Papaya pulp with turmeric with one tablespoon cane sugar helps in exfoliating skin and removing hair. 3. The application of tea tree oil helps in the removal of facial hair. Apply it every night by dabbing with cotton. Hopefully, these things will help. Thank you

Hello Saba, As far as the cooking oil is considered, it is best to use the cold pressed oil for cooking. All your health issues are inter-related. PCOD is the reason for irregular periods and weight gain as it results in hormonal imbalances. Hair problems and skin issues occur as a result of this hormonal imbalances. Hence, it is necessary to treat the root cause for achieving overall good health. By making some changes in lifestyle and eating habits, both the problems can be cured naturally. Foods to eat Start the day with a glass of warm water with a few drops of lemon juice in it. This drink will boost the metabolism in the morning and also will help to flush out the toxins out of the body. Have flax seeds. Drink green tea twice a day, once in the morning on an empty stomach and the other before sleeping in the night. Cook oil-free or use cold-pressed oil. Replace white rice with brown rice. Eat the only plant-based natural raw foods. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Choose seasonal fruits and vegetables to eat. Eat sprouts, nuts, salads, beans to fulfil the nutritional requirements of the body. Foods to avoid- Avoid dairy products like ghee, milk, paneer, curd, etc. Avoid animal foods. Avoid carbonated drinks. Avoid processed foods, packaged foods, oily foods, and spicy foods. Avoid tea and coffee. Exercise Exercising is very important to improve the metabolism of the body which becomes very slow in thyroid patients. Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily. Do bhujanga asana, chakra asana, paschimottan asana daily. Do kapalbhati pranayam daily. Practice ujjayi Pranayam and bhramri pranayam. They are very effective for thyroid. Sleep Proper sleep is very important to maintain the circadian rhythm which affects the hormonal balance. Hence, take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6 am. Thank you.
