Hello Asma. Ulcerative colitis is commonly believed to be life long. I was diagnosed with it in 2014. Doctors had told me to take medicines regularly, else it will come back. I knew two old people who were UC patients & struggled all through their life as it would keep coming back, in spite of medicines.........But guess what, if you solve the root cause of the issue, its not a life long problem. I've been UC free & medicine-free since 2015 :-). Namaste, Change you life and diet lifestyle. Take daily morning and evening brisk walks for at least 20-30 minutes each. Exploring morning sunlight around 15 to 20min is very beneficial. Increase intake of fiber, especially fruits and cooked vegetables. Eat whole grains and nuts. Avoid refined foods like white flour, bread, pasta, pizza, white rice, etc. Avoid animal products like dairy and meat should be strictly avoided. Disturbing psychological factors should be removed, and meals should be taken in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. Soak 3-4 dried figs after washing them overnight in water. Eat them first thing in the morning, and also drink the water in which they were soaked. They should also be taken in the evening. Try this treatment for 3-4 weeks. Csec delivery has nothing to do with knee issues. Even if you had not gone through one, with a life consuming animal foods, this would have come to haunt you anyways. Look around you, do you see people getting older but without knee issues ? It’s a pattern among people who eat the wrong foods when we are meant to have a herbivore anatomy. Just like our physical health, our mental health is also equally important and meditation is the best to achieve the same. Give 20 to 25 minutes from your busy day for meditation. Practice it in sukhasana or padma asana and concentrate on your breathing. Daily meditating will surely lead to a healthy and happy mind. Diet Diet also has an impact on our mental health as our metabolism depends on the foods that we have which in turn affects the hormonal secretions. Drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice in it in the morning on an empty stomach. This will help to boost the metabolism at the start of the day. Have soaked raisins and other dry fruits to get the easily absorbable nutrients. Eat sprouts, nuts, beans and salads.
