Hello, Pain while passing the stool occurs when the stool is hard and it is difficult to pass. This hard stool results in discomfort, pain, irritation in the anus as it results in tearing of mucosa of the anus. Hard stool may also lead to constipation. Constipation leads to many health problems like haemorrhoids, Crohn's disease, etc. To get relief from the irritation, healing of the mucosa is important and further passage hard stool should be prevented.
